I was so disappointed by the one in…

I was so disappointed by the one in Cary NC that I had them pull my dog from the “interview” today. I’ll never go back.

They had a screen with the cameras for me to watch but I asked where my dog would be staying and was told that it couldn’t be seen but it was a 4’x4’ from 7pm-7am. When I questioned the small space for long periods of time, she told me that they provide a water bowl but also clean up if they spoil their 4’x4’ area. Well… I would hope so! I was also told that there are 7 employees behind the scenes that can’t be seen. Also a red flag. The camera in the lobby showed 12 cameras on a split screen- all screens were empty until I showed up. Then, they magically let dogs out to play. I won’t be leaving my dog here as long as I’m sucking air-

Based on what I saw, this place isn’t okay.

My experience was disappointing at the Chattanooga location

My experience was disappointing. Initially, I received positive feedback about my dog, Bailey, which reassured me that this was the right place for him. However, on the third day, I was notified at work that Bailey had injured himself while playing roughly, but was assured that everything was fine. Upon picking him up, I discovered he had several bite wounds from another dog. Despite this, I was told again that this was the right place for him. On the fourth day, I received another call informing me that Bailey was struggling with social cues and had overreacted to another dog. Consequently, Bailey was no longer permitted at the daycare. I observed a lack of appropriate training among the staff to manage dogs of varying breeds and temperaments. Also, I noticed Bailey, who is usually friendly and energetic, exhibiting signs of stress and anxiety after each visit.

Mount Juliet

Mount Juliet, TN - Camp Bow Wow.
THE OWNER TYLER and HIS MANAGER COURTNEY do not CARE about your dog!!!!!!
This FRANCHISE is just as bad as all the others ACROSS THE NATION. My failure was when I did not look at their national reviews. Their business model is to hire inexperienced kids for super cheap. The turnover is outrageous. The employees are untrained and there are way too many dogs assigned to a thread-bare number of humans that are required to supervise. My dog, Missy is an amazing, very sweet Giant Schnauzer. I left her in the Mount Juliet, TN location due to a family emergency that required me to fly to CA. I should have been suspicious when I visited the location and observed stressed out employees openly complaining about being short-staffed that morning... Here is what happened;
* I never saw my Missy on camera until 10:00 or 11:00 am. Every day. She was kept in her Kennel way too long.
* I had my friends looking for her too (on their stupid APP.) They said the same thing! Could not find her in the huge crowd of dogs.
* I was told that the camera's don't reach into the corners of the rooms!!?
* I paid for her to have a $30.00 bath prior to pickup. When I picked her up, she smelled like a garbage dump!
* I was told that I should have called first before coming to get her?
* Her bedding was given back to me without being washed.
* She had a pronounced limp. Her right front leg. And she was coughing.
* When I reported these issues to the front desk staff, they told me they had not observed this. HER LIMP WAS SERIOUSLY PRONOUNCED. She could not even get into my car without assistance. The cough was serious.
* I took her to my VET the next morning. She had a Kennel Cough infection, an injured right leg, an ear infection and had lost 5 pounds!!!
**** I requested reimbursement for my Vet bill of $287.00 for her leg injury due to neglect, no bath, no washing of her beds, not feeding her properly...
**** Courtney, the Manager told me she would investigate my complaints and never called me back.
**** When I finally contacted her for an explanation of the lack of care for my Missy, she gave me lame excuses, she was absolutely rude and dismissive. I have been reading the complaints online about this terrible Franchise, their business model involves taking ZERO responsibility for anything that happens to your pet while under their care.

DO NOT USE CAMP BOW WOW MT JULIET FOR YOUR DOGS NEEDS. ESPECIALLY IF THEY NEED TO STAY OVERNIGHT!!!!!

I am taking action in Small Claims Court.

Not for Shelter or Rescue Dogs

My dog was picked up by PACC and given to a rescue group until he was ready for adoption. Camp Bow Wow does not have the experience to handle dogs who may have issues resulting from their experiences. The woman who "interviewed" us at the Tucson East location was dismissive, patronizing and not compassionate at all. She couldn't figure out how to make him follow her on a leash. If you have a dog that you adopted from PACC or a rescue group, do not take your dog to Camp Bow Wow.

We love Camp Bow Wow

We love Camp Bow Wow. I like being able to watch my dog on the live feed. It's clear how much the handlers love the animals, as they are always petting and loving on the doggos. My dog's body language is always great when he's there. The one time he did have a small issue (he had a cut on his face and the scab fell off) they called me right away, even though there had been no altercation or anything with another dog. I also take advantage of their grooming service to clip his nails. He loves Camp, and so do I! we use the SE Denver CO location.

It’s a CONVEYOR BELT Operation! RUN!!

AWFUL Rowlett TX location! I had spoken with a groomer about the FULL GROOMING SERVICE we wanted & she scheduled my apt for my 3 King Charles Spaniels, which she explained couldn’t get us in for about 6 weeks. So we patiently waited over both holidays with stinky knotted pups. We finally arrived with our dogs & a gal came out get them & as I was explaining how I wanted them cut, she harshly interrupted & said she isn’t the “groomer”, she can only bathe & sani them, only the groomer can cut them! Then goes on to TELL ME (not even the courtesy of kindly asking me) that NO- I did NOT make my appt months ago, that she JUST got my apt on her books last week! What?? Um how is that MY problem? Seems like this location made a major goof in their system! Then she rudely went on to tell me the “groomer” is booked up FOR MONTHS, which I reminded her “YES I KNOW, which is why we’ve been waiting for MONTHS for today to arrive!” Which has just made this whole thing even more infuriating!
When I picked them up they were clean, but didn’t have that “fresh groomer smell”, which all of the previous grooming places we’ve been to have always left them with a cologne type scent. The next day mine are back to plain old dog smell. Worst $200 ever spent!!!!
Also- they have entirely way too many dogs in the back! It was SO LOUD in the front area, and the wall FULL of dozens and dozens of leashes is a flashing warning sign y’all! RUN!! This whole chain is nothing but a conveyor belt! Zero bedside type manner, and our dogs are simply a number. Terrifying.
I will never come back here. Ever.

Worst place to bring your fur baby if you love them

I was bring my King German Shepherd puppy to Camp Bow Wow on Tchoupitoulas St. New Orleans,La. and that was the worst mistake ever he would get into the car smelling like feces and when I asked why is that I'm told he was only in a crate so his food could digest I looked on the camera to see a man push my baby away ok he can be over excited but when he kicked him I called and the cameras suddenly had a problem and went off line I was latter told he no longer worked there I noticed he was losing weight ( 5lbs) I started bring his food in bags and most of the time I was given the food back with them saying he didn't have a chance to eat he was there from 6:45 until 7:15 sometimes later so he went all day without eating and with every incident they had an excuse when I ask for my money back I'll be told please give us just 1 more chance the last straw was when they had him locked up because they said he was aggressive I told the young lady he would come tomorrow but I wanted a refund after that and he only came because it was late and I need to bring him again the young girl begged me not to take him that night some young lady walked up to me when I was talking to another worker and rudely in a condescending tone told me they were refunding my money, they didn't want to disappoint me anymore looking at meas if I was pond scum I turned to her and told her he will be here tomorrow THEN you will refund my money for the rest of my days but I checked that camera all day I asked for the Manger and talked to three different people it became clear they didn't know who was the Manger and when I asked who the owner was they gave me some name and number but when I called I realized I was talking to the same person who gave me the number I'm so upset by the way they treated my baby and me I don't know if Camp Bow Wow corporate office know what a black eye this location is for their franchise reputation but I write a review every where I can and will continue to.

Do not go to the Round Rock

Do not go to the Round Rock, TX location. Untrained teenagers working by themselves. Owner Roxanne continues to lie to her customer about dog fights and other issues that happen while under her care. Dogs in her care on Sunday are left in cages in an empty building and only let out for potty and food twice a day on Sundays. If you care about your dog don’t go to that location.

Rude people mar potentially good businesses

We all have to deal with rude people now and again, but it sure is a low down dirty shame when one of the nastiest ones of this millennia is the owner of your local dog kennel.

Tammy (the business owner, not one of her employees, mind you) made the "simple mistake" of giving away our dogs' *clearly labeled* belongings to someone else. Isn't accurate segregation of customers' property a basic (and by basic, I mean any monkey could easily do it) procedure of your business? Sure, an honest mistake is an honest mistake (giving you the benefit of the doubt, of course), but as the business owner, after you f'd up, please just take responsibility and behave like an adult. Your condescending and lackadaisical attitude toward us was so unprofessional, even your staff was embarrassed to explain it was their boss who did it ... two days prior to scheduled pickup!

Don't sheepishly and repeatedly utter the phrase "this has never happened before" and think it excuses you from taking any action.

Don't wait until we pay the bill and (regrettably) add a tip before telling us you don't know if we'll be getting our belongings back.

This "mistake" happened two days prior to our scheduled pickup date. It was quite lazy and disingenuous of you, as the business owner, not to tell us (once again) until *after* we had paid the bill and given you a tip. Then, after we complained about not having our property returned, you tell us tough luck, you'll get your stuff only if the other customer returns them. Wow.

We requested a refund or at least comparable gear for what you (as the business owner) had lost of ours, but you scoffed at us and accused us of harassment. Wow again.

Based on Tammy's falsehood-laden rebuttal to my wife's review of this same ordeal, it's obvious she's not an honest person (duh!). Look, lady, we weren't upset about having to drive a quarter mile to pick up our things. We were upset because you treated us like pond scum and showed no remorse whatsoever for treating us like pond scum. Your simpleton mistake could have been an easy fix for anyone with half a brain for business sense. Sadly for you, you failed miserably. Yet, you happily took our money and laughed in our faces.

Now, back to Tammy's proven pattern of dishonesty. The multiple complaints from others about their dogs getting sick after spending time at Sherwood Camp Bow Wow reveal how Tammy's claims of running a clean operation are simply lip service. Our dogs, too, got sick after coming home from Sherwood Camp Bow Wow. Needless to say, they were both perfectly healthy prior to being dropped off there for their three day stay. It'd be a nice taste of karma if the animal health inspector showed up at their door next week and yanked her license.

After such an unnecessary yet disturbing experience, there's no way in Hades we'd drop another penny on this business unless, of course, the Camp Bow Wow corporate office discovered what a black eye this location is for their franchise reputation and gave Tammy the proverbial boot for the simple reasons that this owner is clueless, crass, dishonest, and hideous to boot.
