What a great product

What a great product. My favourite has to be their corn covered in their plant based chocolate.

Would highly recommend as a treat

Poor customer service.

I placed an order for the Ultimate Gift Box. I do not usually buy Candy Kittens, however, the gift box design made it look like an attractive present for a birthday. The item was £30 and contained 8 packets. I can buy the individual packets in the supermarket for a total of less than £20 so i assume the additional cost was due to delivery and the gift box.

When the order arrived, the sweets were all individual packets in a standard brown delivery box, with no gift box in sight. I contacted customer service to ask for the box to be sent separately as it was a birthday present and was informed they do not send the box out on its own. I asked if they would cover the refund cost for me to send the order back, as I had not received the order I paid for and would not have bought the individual packets for the gift, to which they refused. Their response was a £10 refund or to return at my own cost. To clarify, this may seem like a sufficient goodwill gesture, however, as I would not have purchased the individual items for the gift without the gift box I do not feel it was sufficient. I feel as though it is false advertising to get sales. Also, the individual packets would not have cost this much so the extra money I paid was for an item I did not receive.

I wish I had looked at reviews prior to ordering, but I can only take this as a lesson learned and add to them to say the customer service is very poor and inform that I would have been better getting the items from the supermarket, or not at all!

No delivery in one month

Placed a bundle order on 11th January, received no postage updates for 3 weeks and so I reached out to customer services to which I was informed one of the packets of sweets was out of stock. I was assured postage would continue on a date a few days later. A few days later came and no updates yet again. After reaching out, the response was ‘we don’t have a confirmed dispatch date to share just yet’.

Shocking customer service. I understand stock and shipment issues but there has been no communication with customers, I have had to chase everything, and no easy alternatives such as swapping the one out of stock packet with another flavour or partially refunding it and sending the rest of the order out.

Not sure I will receive anything at this point.

Placed an order on 9th Jan. No communication and no order received. Tried to contact customer services but no response. Went through Paypal and tried to email using the address they suggested and it doesn't exist. Am now going through PayPal to try and get my money back and Candy Kittens are not responding to them either.

Where is my order?…

I had an order accepted on 9th January and still not received goods- even the part of the order that is in stock! The lack of communication is the worst and how on earth can a company treat people like this? I keep seeing Jamie advertising on social media and now he’s got professor Green on board but I still have not received my long overdue order!
The lack of communication is totally unacceptable!
I have been a good customer both online and in stores, always promoting the products, despite the cost of them I always believed they were worth the money but this has left a sour taste!
Come on Jamie stop promoting and get this stock situation sorted out - you are going to lose the faithfuls!

I’ve been a loyal Candy Kittens…

I’ve been a loyal Candy Kittens customer since the early days, so this experience is really disappointing.

I placed a box order on 19th January and heard nothing until 29th January, when I was finally told that one packet of sweets was out of stock. Waiting ten days just to be informed of an OOS item is honestly a joke.

The dispatch time alone is already far too long, but the lack of communication makes it even worse. If stock issues are known, customers should be told promptly not left waiting with no updates.

This feels well below the standard I’ve come to expect from Candy Kittens, especially as a long-term customer.

Dont Buy From Website

It's such a shame because the SHOX strawberry and apple are my favourite sweets ever, and I'm never too full for a few of them.

But to anyone considering ordering direct from the website: DON'T. Keep buying at your local shop, avoid the annoyance and disappointment of slow shipping, poor customer response, etc.

I ordered a 10-pack of the SHOX on the 9th of January, payment was taken, and everything went through. But a week later, when I reached out, they said that they were out of stock and I would have to wait for them to restock. Firstly, when something is out of stock, you really should make it unavailable for purchase, or, failing that, reach out to the customer. Don't leave them waiting and make them reach out to you. That's inconsiderate, airy-fairy and disorganised.

I reached out again on the 22nd and received a reply four days later saying that it should be sent out soon. At no point during these conversations was I given an exact timeframe.

The 10-pack was £25, so divide that by 10 and it's £ 2.50 per sweetie bag. I would recommend just getting them at your local supermarket, as you can often get them a bit cheaper than £2.50 with a membership card. I thought I would support the business directly and cut out the middleman.

I figured, given the price point and the length of the wait, I'd get a few freebies, or a thank-you note or something as a wee sorry for the wait.

No. They came in an oversized box they'd been rattled to death in, no padding in sight, and a lot of the citric coating has fallen off the sweeties.

The only consolation was that the customer service rep gave me a code for 15% off my next purchase, but given how abysmal my experience was, why on earth would I buy more stuff? "Yeah, sorry for your experience. Give us more money". It seems a bit disingenuous.

Save your money and your time. I don't imagine I'll be buying from this company directly again, but if you have a craving, stock up at a supermarket that sells them - don't bother with the website.

miraculous - with one caveat

i adore the candy kittens treets (especially the crunchy corn) so much that they make me want to scream sweary superlatives.
sadly, though, i will very rarely buy them because of the plastic packaging. plastics are a fossil-fuelled scourge. (see cleanhub dot com for more info on this.)
i'm sure that a company as creative & cutting-edge as CK can come up with a sustainable solution. i'll be waiting, so that i can finally fully unleash my addiction.

Dishonest company

Ordered advent calendars on 1st December, still not received whilst showing as confirmed order and shop app stating "on the way " contacted candy kittens only for them to say they ran out and I'll get a refund. 24 days after ordering and I had to contact them! Shocking service and they held my money that longi doubt I'd have even have heard from them had I not contacted them, seems like a dishonest company!

Excellent customer service

I have had to contact customer services twice- the first being my fault, the second was a fault with my advent calendars. However, they responded within 3 hours to my messages and have always resolved the issues without hesitation. They are only a small team and I appreciate their efforts. Special shout out to Alex. I can’t quite believe the poor ratings- give them the opportunity to correct themselves before reviewing.

Non-communicative delivery

I really like this brand but I have to agree with previous comments, the delivery of orders is abysmal. Ordered an item, had to chase it - cancelled without informing me. Then having to chase refund
what a shame

Upside down Advent - no sweets

Gorgeous colourful Advent Calendar but plastic inserts put in upside down in factory meaning some windows contain double sweets and leaving other windows empty. Didn't expect such poor quality control/carelessness for an expensive product. It wasn't obvious that the inserts were upside down, the consumer wouldn't know this, took a bit of figuring out before we realised what had gone wrong. Shame 🙃

Poor unreliable company

Poor unreliable company. Personally I would say it’s a scam so stay clear. Placed an order a few days ago and just received an email saying cancelled. What a joke of a company. Wouldn’t recommend.
