Worst car rental ever - had to change over 3 times the car in a week

I have booked a car in Argentina via Car del Mar. They take the money immediately but can't you guarantee the car. There was a demonstration in the city where we wanted to pick up the car and we were 2 hours late for the pickup. The provider had already rented the car to someone else! It is completely beyond me why I pay up front and the car can just be given away if I am a little delayed.

The customer service could not be any less emphatic or caring. Last time that we used Car del Mar!

Car del Mar in Catania sicily is absolut terrible and a horrible Customer service. You are waiting over one hour and we booked a car and they aren‘t accept any deposit by cash or credit card. But we payed our car and we had a voucher.
We recommend all the other Rent a car companies like „maggiore, sicily by car, interrent, europcar, centauro.....“
We are Every year in sicily and never had these problem.

In case of non-delivery of the rented vehicle on site to me by the contractor and the necessity of hiring a car from another provider as agreed by phone, I had to bear the additional costs of the short-term re-booking caused by the contractors not fulfilling of the contract .

Bei Nicht-Aushändigung des gemietenen Kfz vor Ort und verabredeter Anmietung eines Wagens bei einem anderen Anbieter blieb ich auf den Mehrkosten der kurzfristig notwendigen Neu-Buchung sitzen.

We have reserved a car in Car del Mar in Thessaloniki, but due to overbooking on the EW flight we couldn't fly that day. We gave a call to Car del Mar office immediately to let them know, that we'll take a car(that we have 100% paid!!) a day later. The representative of CdM told that is not a problem, we will be met at the Meeting Point according to the time of our new flight.
In 2 hours we had another call, it was a person waiting for us in Airport Thessaloniki and asking: Were are you?
We have told him this story with overbooking and that we have already i formed CdM about it. He also told: ok, i'll meet you tomorrow.
But in the evening we had one more call from CdM office and were told that they didn't have a car for us any longer and will keep our money. No excuses, just informed us, that thay have 're-sold' our 100% paid car.
We have already experience with CdM and if everything goes according to plans, probably it will be ok. But if you get any kind of problem, this car rental will trick you anyway.
Never ever with Car del Mar in any country!!!

Easy, no sorrows

Worst car rental company I have ever used... First of all, the local team in Olbia Airport tricked us when we wanted to get our car. As we needed to solve an existing problem with the driver's credit card in order to cover the deposit, saying we would be back in a bit, then being in the queue for 45 min, they told us our "reservation" is gone but we could get a higher rate car for additional 180 euros - ridiculous as this wasn't a reservation, I had already paid for the rent via CHECK24 and it clearly said "vehicle rent" on the confirmation mail. And the really impolite staff refused to ay this amount back. So I paid almost 100 euros for nothing. Have raised this topic on the service platform, but still no response and no money back. So bad! Never book there, Never!

If it was possible to give ZERO stars, I would. This has been the most negative experience I have ever had with a car rental broker. Then only reason the fees seem so low is because the enormous amount of hidden fees that arrive at the car rental desk. By this time it is absolutely too late to cancel the reservation as the broker refuses to give you a discount. Brilliant plan at cheating hardworking customers. The customer service is completely unhelpful and says you only have the option of paying the desk fees and getting your rental car or paying for your reservation and not getting your car. I wouldn’t even recommend recommend this website to my worst enemy and definitely not to any friends or loved ones. Save your vacation and stay away!!!!

Voucher received from CarDelMar was with shuttle to the city.
They refused to correct.
Only offered inferior substitutes.
Beware.
Had to cancel reservation.

Cardelmar offers cheap rates on its portal which the car rental operators do not confirm and decline the reservation.CarDelMar is worthless and a thief of time if the operators do not agree with the rates.

Very good offers for various rental comnpanies and cars.
Easy to book, just some information are difficulty to find and you should really read all the information from all the links, especially for the conditions.

Third time in a row I try te hire a car in Siena.
Two times rejected for reason of: car type not available.
Why offer the car(s) online for reservation?
