After trying to conceive for 3 years…
After trying to conceive for 3 years with no luck, we were referred to Care Fertility to see if they could help us. I suffer with endometriosis and after having some scans and blood tests, we discovered I also had low ovarian reserve (only 3 follicles!) My partner had an analysis done and we were told we needed to have ICSI and we needed to do it asap if we wanted any chance of conceiving at all. Peggy, Nikki and Beth (Tamworth) were amazing and extremely supportive throughout, especially when our first round failed at 5 weeks. Lisa at the Birmingham clinic is also absolutely amazing and made us feel so relaxed at both rounds of egg retrieval and embryo transfer!
Fast forward to now, after 2 rounds of ICSI, I’m currently sat here with my 9 week old baby girl and have one more embryo frozen! If you are suffering with infertility please don’t give up. We were given minimal chance of success but it CAN happen. Thank you so much to everyone at Tamworth and Birmingham clinics, we will be forever grateful to you for making our dreams come true!

Where do we start !!
The NHS carried out various tests on both myself and my husband and found no reasons as to why we hadnt conceived naturally, so we were referred to Care Sheffield for our fertility treatment.
Before our first appointment we attended one of the virtual sessions (which anyone could join) to get a generic understanding of the IVF process, having never experienced it before the virtual appointment was very useful and gave us a good basic understanding of what to expect.
We had various appointments prior to treatment starting and we were always given a good understanding of what the next appointment would entail and in the main times/dates were pretty flexible (around work commitments) .
During the initial investigations Care were able to diagnose various medical conditions with myself within the first few appointments, that the NHS were investigating for over a year prior and were never able to identify (cysts/endometriosis). This diagnosis from Care led to a referral and a successful operation and I can only thank thank for identifying these issues so they could be treated and we could get back on track with our IVF journey.
All staff were immensely reassuring/professional/comforting and it was nice to see the same faces at various different appointments, as they became familiar with our journey without the need to explain various things each time.
Words cannot describe the immense gratitude myself and my husband feel towards Care sheffield. Leading up to our Care experience, it has been 2 years of trying to get pregnant naturally and lots of NHS investigative appointments and Care were able to make our dreams a reality within 8 months, our first implanted embryo was successful !
Care were able to create FIVE grade A embryos and we still have 4 more frozen for us to use in the future
Whilst we cannot comment on costs of treatment, as we were NHS funded, we will be paying whatever the cost is for our 2nd child, given the experience we have had and the success rates

"Thank you" isn't enough
I'm not sure it's entirely possible to find the words to describe how brilliant CARE have been, but I'll try to at least give a flavour...
We were referred to CARE in Woking by the NHS at the end of Feb, and right from the very start everything has been spot-on. Within literally hours of our funding being approved, we were contacted by CARE for our first appointment, and everything went smoothly from there.
Having infertility issues, and going through IVF, is one of the hardest things I have experienced, but the whole process was made so much easier, thanks to their professionalism and expertise.
We were lucky enough to get pregnant after our first embryo transfer, and today were discharged from the clinic after a successful seven-week scan.
Our only regret is not getting the names of everyone involved in our care, who I would love to have thanked personally. But nonetheless - a huge thank you to absolutely everyone at CARE for everything you did for us - we will never forget it.

Giving my experience with Care of…
Giving my experience with Care of Northamptonshire. I wouldn’t go back honestly. Been through two rounds of IVF first round was on NHS. After the first review of the failed IVF round on the NHS I wasn’t very happy. The consultant kept mentioning my age as the main reason and more than likely need donor eggs after first round!! As I went in with unexplained infertility with no issues or my husband as some testing and procedures were done by referring prior clinic.
I was 40 at the time and no fault of my own because restrictions on UK citizenship I had to wait 5 years for help on the NHS. Second round was paid privately and I was told it was up to me to for blood tests. Consultant should’ve done testing without making it a choice. They are the doctor and should be figuring out what’s actually going on to have a positive outcome. I ended up pregnant but with an ectopic pregnancy. It was the most awful experience because KGH and the clinic took 7 ultrasounds and by 5 different ultrasound techs and consultant to decide what to do as they couldn’t find the ectopic. I was at the hospital daily for 4 days straight during Easter and blood tests several times over the course of days until I had emergency surgery. My fallopian tube erupted. The consultant told me the embryo was place too close to my left fallopian tube. They didn’t even find an embryo growing, only a sac. This left my traumatized and don’t trust them. I think, my care was less than I should’ve expected and received. I was going to do a review appointment but no point as I’ll just be annoyed by the old school text book of saying it’s my age without any context cause that can’t be pinpoint as further testing was never done. They also couldn’t explain why that I had 7 good follicles but only ended up with 2 embryos each time and only 1 fertilized. Besides saying only 1 did. Where were the rest during the ultrasounds I was having? Waste of money in my opinion and never had the full picture and never told everything I need to know as can’t ask questions if I’m not giving the information I need during the whole IVF process. Also, found out embryo glue is a thing during transfer. Never was mentioned I found this out from a FB group.I was almost over charged on medication as they put too many. I’ll take my chances and go back to natural conception.

We attended the Birmingham center and was disappointed with the outcome.
All tests shows both partners (biological male and female) were okay , no issue , female had good ovarian reserve 22.9 , seminal analysis was good yet not a single fertilization . only 8 eggs harvested and wasted .
Avoid this clinic if you can and go somewhere else .
They did not check the female hormonal profile test nor tube testing either . Only seem to be interested in your money
