I had a very positive experience with Cargentur GmbH, particularly due to their clear processes and transparent communication. From the very beginning, everything was explained openly and honestly, with no surprises or hidden fine print. The car itself was thoroughly checked and exactly as described in the TÜV SÜD inspection document, which Cargentur shared with me at the first point of contact—no hidden risks and no unpleasant surprises after the purchase.
What truly stood out was the personal support, especially from Mr. Vincent Gercken. He went well beyond what one would normally expect, assisting me step by step with obtaining export plates and helping me navigate the extremely bureaucratic and inflexible car registration office in Delitzsch (Nordsachsen district). Without his commitment, patience, and problem-solving mindset, the process would have been far more stressful.
Based on my experience, I would like to share a useful tip for other foreign buyers: avoid the Delitzsch registration office when applying for export plates, even though it is conveniently located (only 12 km) from the vehicle pickup logistics site in Rackwitz. The office works strictly by the book in a way that is particularly unfriendly to foreigners. They require the “Musterformular – Empfangsbevollmächtigung für Halter oder Halterinnen ohne Wohnsitz, gewöhnlichen Aufenthalt oder Sitz in Deutschland” to be provided by someone residing specifically in their district, which is extremely difficult to provide for non-residents. Additionally, they do not accept TÜV SÜD’s official VIN confirmation and instead insist on inspecting the vehicle in person. While such procedures may be understandable from a legal standpoint, they are highly impractical for foreign buyers unless one hires a towing service, which adds unnecessary cost.
The purchase itself was smooth and well organized. Picking up the car independently did involve some hassle due to local bureaucracy, but this was clearly outside Cargentur’s control. Even so, I never felt left on my own — support was always available whenever needed.
Overall, Cargentur GmbH delivers on what truly matters: clear processes, fair and transparent communication, well-checked vehicles, and outstanding personal support. I can confidently recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and professional car-buying experience.
