It’s a guarantee the moment you drive the car off the lot something is going to happen that day or in the next few days...they claim they have an amazing warranty but they only fix certain engine parts, don’t pay for towing, and when they “fix” your car it has to be at one of there “trusted” mechanics who uses used parts. It took their mechanic a month...literally 30 days...to install a “new” transmission. And to put icing on the cake everybody that works there are a**holes after they get you to sign the paper work. It’s a shady company that preys on people with bad credit.

We got our 2nd car with them but after 3 months the car start to shows thick light blue color smoke. We immediately contact carhop to advise them but no response. I had my schedule with authorized repair of carhop then they sent the diagnostic result to carhop which is to change the engine because of a lot of things...but carhop refuse to fix our car since they said it still drivable...they said they will only approve the repair once its not drivable!!!!this is really a sh***!!! They want us to drive a car with a thick smoke and smell gas!!!!! Seems like they want us to continue to drive this until we had our accident....and they will probably change the engine by then!!!!! We are paying for a car with a high mileage that is worth $17,000 and and yet they dont want to fix it!!!! We're not gonna drive a car that might lead us to accident!!!!!

I can honestly say that I have never been so disappointed and let down in my life. I work hard and I felt it was time a take a big step and refinanced a car for the first time. Everything I feared is coming true. Carhop has made me feel abandoned, used and betrayed. I put my trust into carhop expecting i would find a safe reliable car for my daughter and I. I've had this car for 6 months and it has truly put a huge damper on my life. And there nothing I can about it. I got ripped off. Carhop does this thing where they but salvaged cars and wipe the codes clean off the cars computer, turn around it sell them. CARHOP also sells used card with safety recalls. Exactly 1 week after I got my jeep on the 6 day my car stalled on the freeway. I wanted to returned it that following day but this happened on a Sunday and carhop is closed on Sundays. Anyways many more problems have occurred and no repair shop under warranty will work on my car. Forget you carhop. I can honestly say that you ruined my freaking life you pieces of crud. All of you carhop employees should be ashamed. Real dirt bags.

So I have gotten two cars from here. Both times sale staff was awesome. They help to get you in what you like and can afford. Now the finance part is a toldly different animal. First there are about 50 different ones with all the different locations. So if you call them youcould be talking to someone in Alaska. So my car broke down the end of July. First thought was a starter light's coming on but not turning over. So it still would not start. Then we bought igition switch. It started, ran for 2 hours. Now I'm in contact with finance and let them no what's going on every step. Now we are at August the 8th. I don't have big money so I'm paying for towing,parts and labor. I even paid Good O'boy 24hour mobile service who charged me 100 bucks to say nothings wrong. But again it cut off and had to get it towed to a different shop. Where I paid 250 bucks. For them to tell me the cutoff box that carhop puts on the car is making it not start. So after them having my car for two more days. Three different finance people told me not to worry about late fees because it was there issues. But the one here in tulsa that I last spoke to basically said my issue and pay it all. Just felt this was not right. Anyone else have had this happened?

187,000 miles 800 down and 15,000 dollars for rusty SUV test drove 2 vehicles and both broken down on test drive staff no experience professional liars carhop sells nothing but buckets and the excellent reviews that's B.S. Carhop is trash garbage juice.If I can give them 0 stars I would

Don’t go here, the car they sold me, at its current condition is a 1-3k car, they got me for 8k. The ac stopped blowing cold after a couple weeks and engine began stuttering, I checked under the hood and saw there was no coolant in the vehicle, also checked the oil and it was almost dry. I don’t think vehicles are allowed to be sold at dealerships without being serviced at all beforehand, but maybe I’m wrong. They have a “warranty” for limited service shops that from other reviews are not recommended to use. I don’t really want to damage the car further if I’m forced to keep it. Don’t expect a remotely close to fair price.

Edit: As for their reply, they are not concerned whatsoever as I’ve contacted and tried to work it out with them several times with no help.

Please go anywhere but here! I literally just payed off the car I bought from the Hayward Ca Carhop. It has been nothing but a nightmare. They make it sound like they will work with pretty much anyone with a job. We went in with a down payment and a great job but we had no credit. They barely sold us a car. I mean they acted like they had to move mountains to get us approved. We had pay stubs for the past 2 years making good money. And we had a couple thousand down.. So 5 hours later they approve us. Then they try to tell us what car we were going to buy. Like you don’t get to choose what car you want. I had been watching them put person after person in this suv for a test drive for the past 5 hours. We got in it and there wasn’t any door handles in the back. He tried to tell us it was no big deal.. it was a cosmetic fix. We decided that we were just done with this and started to leave..Only then did they show us a couple of other SUVs. We buy one, then go home thinking that things were finally going to be easier for us. 2 months later it breaks down on hwy4. I call them and they tell me to take it to one of their mechanics. The closest one was 50 miles away. I couldn’t afford the tow. Took it to another shop and payed out of pocket $450. Okay whatever... 1 month later it breaks down again, $650 fix.. 3 months later breaks down again $1100 fix.. Then on Christmas Day it breaks down again... new transmission $3000. Shortly after that it started over heating... we said #### it and parked the thing and gave up. It sat in our driveway and hasn’t moved since.. that was a year ago. They say they’ll help you but they don’t. They make it impossible. They wanted me to pay hundreds of dollars to have it towed to their shop.. They won’t help with the tow.. This suv started breaking down 2 months after we got it and has never stopped breaking down. It cost us sooo much money and heart ache. 2 years and now it’s finally payed off.. which is good because it can’t pass smog so I Can’t register it. It’s an absolute loss! Fortunately we were able to buy a 2021 Jeep Cherokee.
We were lucky.... I feel bad for ppl that have tighter budgets then us because this situation would just destroy a families finances. Don’t go to carhop... no matter what! They will want a co-signer anyways.. so go to a regular dealership with ur co-signer. Their cars are high mileage and aren’t worth a dime. Figure out another way to buy a car..

Yep got Ford Explorer few years ago nothing but problems. Never go to scam place again.

I ABSOLUTELY love going to the carhop located in Lakewood. I'm never disappointed with them. I MOST OF ALL would love to give a big shout out to Jacob. Jacob was BEYOND AMAZING. He took his time and worked overtime just to make sure that I got Approved and walked out with a car. He made sure to go above and beyond for me and I truly appreciate that... Thank you Carhop again for providing me with such wonderful experience like always 😀👍...

I was very upset at the fact that they chose the car 4 me I didn't get 2 pick it was an older model Buick & even wth a Co signer they didn't do much 4 me so I took that ugly car back.

Reading these experiences and the one time that I went there is very much the same. I went there to pay cash for a car. They had an unusual car and a color that I wanted. They would not accept cash only a high interest rate long-term contract. They would also not permit it to be inspected by a independent mechanic prior to purchase. That alone was enough to make me walk away.

I bought my car 2 months ago and it has giving me nothing but stress and pain already it's been in the shop 5 times had 2 transmissions a new battery a new fuel line and new tires and now need yet another transmission now I'm left with no car bad credit, broke and more stressed then when I got the car I do not reccomend them.

I was desperate....so I went to carhop. Two weeks later the car overheated on the freeway. Before I could get a tow the police impounded the vehicle and now car hop is harassing me for payment. The car was still under warranty. It got towed because it was a piece of junk. And all they have done is harass me for payment.

Their response to this review is a joke. They call me every day and we have the same conversation. I know a couple of other horror stories from ppl about this dealership. Don’t do it.

I'm pretty upset with this place... I went there this past week, (it now three days later) to look at buying a truck/suv. I had one particular in mind and was told they wanted a lil more down and when I tried to find out how much more the issue was just brushed off. Then the salesman comes up with a 06 ford five hundred and was all like no money down no payment for two weeks made Wells t sound great and I test drove and it drive ok and sounded good and was nice cosmetically so I said cool... Later on the same day I bought the car the transmission started slipping and slamming into gear. I called the next day about it and was told just to call one of the warranty shops listed on the website... I will say that's good and bad . Good part is I can get fixed for $100 deductible bad is I have only had car for one day and I'm gonna be without it already and have to find alternative transportation to work funny part was the salesman mentioned more than once how nice and how good the transmission was which is now telling me he knew it was screwed up and was somehow able to make it not noticable for a temporary time. I as well don't think I would use then again

CARHOP SUCKS THEY ARE A SCAM. THEY SELL CARS WITH CAR PARTS THAT ARE USED AND DINGY SO THEY CAN MAKE A HIGHER COMMISSION. THEY ARE LITERALLY A PYRAMID SCHEME, NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE TO GET A CAR DO NOOOOOTTTTTTT GO TO CARHOP!!!! ITLL BE COOL FOR THAT SECOND UNTL YOUR CAR STARTS MESSING UP ABOUT A MONTH OR TWO AFTER YOU GET IT, AND THE WARRANTY DOESNT COVER IT. WHATSOEVER. THERES ALWAYS A CATCH WHEN IT COMES TO A DEALERSHIP OFFERING 0 DOWN WITH BAD CREDIT. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS. ITS SO SAD SEEING HOW THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE WHOS IN THE HOLE CREDIT WISE AND FINACIALLY WISE. IMA PAY THE REST OF THIS CAR OFF AND I WILL NEVERRRRRRR BE GOING THERE AGAIN. LETS HOPE THIS DAMN CAR DONT BREAK DOWN BEFORE THEN. AND OH YEAH THE WARRANTY THEY HAVE WHEN IT COMES TO CERTAIN PROBLEMS, THEYLL PUT CHEAP JUNKYARD PARTS BACK IN YOUR CAR. I WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW HOW MESSED UP THEY ARE.

Carhop is a shady ass company. They take advantage of good, loyal paying customers. I just got my 2014 Kia Soul on 10-29-20 and my transmission is already out and after paying a little over 4000 since then (big principal payment of 3500 dollars in December) now they want to be the cheap ass holes that they are and put a used junkyard transmission in my car. Paying the 3000 that's left and never going back. Kiss my ASS CAR HOP!!!

Seriously the worst place you can buy a car! I haven’t had my car in 4 months because it’s been in shop after shop. I’ve had 2 transmissions put in and they still can’t figure out the issue. The approved mechanics carhop has are jokes none of the dealers know what they’re doing. I’ve went to 3 different ones so far and still no one has any answers. The funny part about it is the “account managers” don’t even care all they care about is making sure they get paid and not even the fact that the car is not working. They literally bug you all day via email and phone to make sure you make your car payment and not to mention they are so incompetent and have no idea what they’re doing. Almost done with my loan and I will never ever do this again and I have made sure to tell everyone I know not to waste their time here. My car is still not working! 5 months later. Worst place ever.

Thankful they got me in the car I wanted. There are some issues with the car but can’t really complain when nobody else would approve me

Good day, just over a year ago I bought a Chevy Malibu 2012; at the Bremerton WA branch received good customer service asked if I bought it would they fill the tank they agreed. Turned out to be a great car. Until Feb, 13: 2021 when it snowed. I was trying to get into my drive way with snow and ice some one did not stop and took out my whole passengers side of my car. It was totaled . Started the process of getting into another car at same store. Was not as good as before. Could not get the quality car I wanted even though my insurance paid off the loan.2 years early because I was responsible enough to have great full coverage insurance took a less quality car because approval department did not take the time to look at the big picture. Made the experience very stressful. And number 2 when I bought the Malibu I noticed the gas tank on empty and I said id buy it if they would fill it up they did. Great customer service. Not this time with the Nissan. Ryan the sales person at the Bremerton branch asked Ashlee the manager she flat out said NO. Mind you this cars gas was on empty . I was sweating it to get to the gas station with out running out. Horrible customer service. Makes them look cheap. Customer service got way worse .they seem way uptight. My Malibu and customer service was a 9 of 10. The Nissan was a 2 out of 10..
