Last week I accidentally dropped my phone and smashed the screen making it look like I had a web wallpaper 😊. I was so scared that I would have to buy a new phone. Then I stumbled on a post on IG about Carlcare phone repair services. I checked them out and to my surprise they repaired the phones locally and it could actually be repaired while I wait…it sounded so good to be true, but I really needed my phone back to its first glory, so I had to take my chances. I took my broken phone to Caxton house in town, and as I was there interacting with the lovely staff, I had my phone back in no time…I still don’t believe it to date…

It was a very good experience and the service was very welcoming.

So I had an accident with my infinix note 8 and got my screen all smashed. Normal na, I took it too Carl care because I have 100 days screen insurance. They said 5 working days but I later got it after 15 working days. On getting there they told me the part is not available so they are giving me a brand new phone. I left the office so happy. On getting home, something doesnt feel new about the phone. I just have the feeling that this phone has been opened although the brand new infinix sticker was still on the screen and the body colour was different. I examined the body thoroughly and just have the feeling the phone has been opened. I tried sucking the edges to see how air tight the phone is, it wasn't as air tight as the first one I bought. So I checked the IMEI it corresponded with the one on the box of my first purchase.. so I concluded that what they did was put my motherboard in a new phone. It just pain me that the phone is no more air tight and doesn't just feel like a new phone at all.

I should have checked for reviews before proceeding to Carl care . This is a bad one for me .
Last week Monday I took my phone to Carl care Ikeja because it wasn't charging and I knew it was a faulty battery but to be on a safer side I went to Carl care and I have one year warranty . on getting there , I was told to drop the phone, reason because they need to change the "board" ..I was like how did charging and board relate but i still left it and the receptionist said to call back on Wednesday.

On Wednesday she called me and requested for my phone pattern and told me its cos the phone is fixed and they need to confirm .. So I gave it to her and told her I would send my rider to pick up on Thursday or Friday.

Rider called me on Friday only to inform me that the lady told her the phone isn't ready .why!
I called her and asked her what's wrong , she said they need to change the battery ( didn't you check every thing before confirming its fixed or isn't the reason I brought my phone cos it wasn't charging?). She gave reasons and I said okay so till when .

The lady said they have to contact their warehouse to send them "parts" on Monday because they don't work on Saturday. A phone repair warehouse doesn't work on a busy day !!!

To cut story short, after calls upon calls and useless reasons, she told me today that the warehouse couldn't get them the battery so I should come for my phone tomorrow.

If I had gone to a roadside shop to fix my phone , It would have been better than waiting for more than a week ..I don't mind spending money !!

Carlcare is a NO for me and I am saying this with all anger .

I pray I get my phone back in one piece ...

Poor service,with poor customer service agents and less informative agents dealing the customers.
