Good experience, Adeel was great not a pushy salesman which is appreciated. Too many checks with mananger though so maybe staff could be given a bit more responsibility. Also it would be better to... See more

Over Two weeks and the cars sold and despite 5 chasers I’ve still not been refunded the £99 reservation fee - having to do a charge back through my credit card. Avoid these cowboys!!!
We reserved a car online, day after was available to reserve again said that’s how it worked apparently even tho car wasn’t even in yet so couldn’t see it. Phoned me up asking if I was after finance or extra warranty and lost interest when I said no to both. Went to see it and they told us full service history - told me cars don’t get serviced first 3 years(?), told me it doesn’t matter not main dealer despite service book showing otherwise as need receipts to prove original parts that they didn’t have. Warranty that should be on car then not valid (2.5 years). They just want to try and upsell and lie about warranty’s . This was Nissan Huddersfield but was mislead on service history and warranty few weeks ago from MG Wakefield originally. Seems like the company has wide spread liaritas. No doubt someone who doesn’t research will buy the cars thinking that they have manufacturers warranty when the garage know they do not.

Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!
Purchased a 2019 BMW from the Barnsley Branch on 4/02/26, apparently the MOT was completed by Cars2 on 4/11/25. Just 16 miles since they MOT’d the car and I collected it.
The BMW ‘FAILED’ an MOT 2 days after I collected it on Dangerous Tyres.
Cars2 tried to deny responsibility and offered a paltry £90 for a new tyre.
It wasn’t till I offered to REJECT the car that they then agreed to pay for 3 branded tyres and a leak on the rear differential!!
I am out of pocket by £464 as I had to pay £200 to get the Sat Nav repaired, £100 to get water build up released from the car and £164 on the 4th tyre…. Just 2 days after I purchased the car.
Company are a joke.
**** Cars2 ‘told’ me to take the BMW to Halfords for a 2nd opinion of the 3 dodgy tyres. When Halfords failed the MOT and agreed the 3 tyres needed replacing Cars2 refused to allow Halfords to replace the tyres and even suggested Halfords and the BMW Specialist we my ‘friends’. Absolutely Ridiculous!!
Zero genuine customer care, Zero genuine customer service.
I remain £464 out of pockets. Perhaps Cars2 may consider reimbursing me!!
Please, please, please have a serious think before dealing with Cars2.

Extremely Unprofessional and Intimidating Experience
I would strongly advise others to be cautious based on my recent experience at the wakefield branch.
I attended the dealership to cancel a car order. The cancellation was fully within the terms of the contract I had signed, and I approached the situation calmly and respectfully.
When I informed the salesperson that I wished to cancel, they went to get the store manager. The manager then came over to our desk and the entire tone of the interaction immediately changed.
While he did not explicitly say that we could not cancel, his manner and approach were confrontational and pressuring. He repeatedly emphasised that the car had already been ordered and continued to question our decision. Despite us clearly stating several times that we had simply changed our minds, he persistently demanded to know why.
As customers, we are entitled to exercise our contractual rights without being pressured or made to feel uncomfortable. The repeated questioning and tone used felt unnecessary and intimidating.
What should have been a straightforward administrative process turned into an unpleasant experience due to the manager’s attitude.
The most disappointing part is that we were actually planning to purchase a different vehicle from the same dealership. However, after this interaction, we no longer felt comfortable proceeding with any purchase.
Professionalism and customer respect should be a priority at management level. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

The bottom line is avoid avoid avoid. The salesmen are like the dodgy salesmen from a comedy, happy to say anything to get a sale, our salesman also admitted he knew absolutely nothing about cars and in my dealings with him he wasn’t wrong. I chose Cars2 as they are a nissan main dealer so I thought it was a safer option to buy a nissan approved used car from them with their 100 point check. How wrong I was. The salespeople will tell you anything to try and get a sale (farmers dont need parking sensors thats why we disconnected them). I am not sure what the 100 points that cars2 checked were but it was handed to me with dangerously low tyre pressures, mismatched tyres, a touch screen that didn't work, locks which didn't work and a clearly aftermarket bumper (why a nissan main dealer is using non OEM parts is beyond me) which had been completely incorrectly installed and was damaging the bodywork (the sensors had been disconnected to save costs on using the correct bumper). The bumper was rusting within 2 weeks. I asked Cars2 to resolve the issues. I was told the bumper was purely cosmetic and that the lock which didn’t work “wasn't a locking handle”. After two weeks they decided it wasn’t economic for them to repair the items. I was offered a full refund which I happily accepted to draw a line under my dealings with them. Over a week later I am still waiting for a refund leaving me without a vehicle and unable to work despite being promised a refund every day. They couldn't have cared less about all the extra costs I had incurred as a result of their inefficiency and disingenuous comments.

Hyundai Wakefield. Avoid, absolute con. Was booked in to look at a used car, finally got seen by salesman one and a quarter hours later. The car was advertised for £6115, the salesman was insisting on extra warranty for an extra £395 for 1 year, which we rejected, just wanted to buy the car at the asking price £6115. General Manager got involved, a tall chap with neatly trimmed beard. He said that he didn't want to sell me the car because it was Cars2 policy to sell all used vehicles with an additional warranty package and there was two more potential viewings later that day that might buy one of the extra warranty packages (which are limited to £300 max payout and a £75 excess, complete con). He reserved the right to sell the car, I explained that they were false advertising. He wanted to give me a ring if the other two viewings were unsuccessful sales. Yeh, right. Told hm to forget it! He then showed me his true character! Think they deserve 1 star for the Bean to Cup coffee machine which I had plenty of in the hour plus waiting. Do not buy from these cowboys!

To update on the Renault Koleos (the shed) After all the issues and the lights coming on near Xmas 25 I decided to reject the car as its clearly not fit for the purpose I wanted it for and by CARS2 own admission they agreed. This was picked up early in the new year and they agreed to give me a courtesy car and I agreed with the branch manager Chris Brown that I would look at their site and try to find another car from them because to reject the car just outright they had to charge me mileage!! Which in my opinion is poor considering the issues I have had with this car. I kept checking the website and after around a week found a Nissan X-Trail which looked okay , nowhere near the kit my car had but would do the job and had a tow bar which was a bonus , I registered my interest in the vehicle and they would get back to me with some numbers and the car was £14,190 on the web and I had paid £10,690 for my car plus the tow bar I had put on at £410, change of plate another £80 and insurance admin charge probably around £50. I expected to pay more no issue as my loan can be extended it was my own finance not theirs. To my shock they wanted £5400!! so basically knocking a load of value off my car which they had sold me in an unfit condition, they have the same car as mine for sale same reg 67 with more miles for £10850 so why was this offer so low? I tried to do a deal and offered £4k plus my car which in my opinion was more reasonable but I then got a message saying we are only charging you 21p a mile for the use of my vehicle and not 45Ppm which we can charge you so basically I felt blackmailed by their bean counter shall we call them. I declined and stated I wanted my car back. I picked it up at the weekend and they had switched all the lights off and left and wont change the oil like they said because the bean counter said no we are not doing it. So I am now left with a stuttering car with lights that keep going on and off so I have been left with no choice but to go to the ombudsman with this matter. I will sort the car out myself as they clearly dont know how to and will probably end up selling it once fixed and get what the car is worth not what they offered. Take my advice and steer clear of anything to do with CARS2 , the service manager is a gem always trying to help and the salesman was great as well but the bean counters do not care about trying to give good customer service just how much dollar they can make or recoup in this matter, I will take what the ombudsman says no matter what the outcome is and move on but never deal with CARS2 again and looking at your reviews you need to have a long hard look at your customer service when you sell a bad car. Now you decide to reply LOL , Your reputation is as good as your reviews 41% 1 star is everyone wrong? I was nothing but patient but what you wanted from me to exchange to another car did not in my opinion seem to be fair and considering the issues I have had with this car a bit of customer service and treating me correctly we could have arranged something but to now still leave me with a broken car is appalling. Cars2 at Arthurs Daleys garage .com . Lets see what the Ombudsman comes up with.

I have just collected a Land Rover Discovery from Cars 2 and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I have dealt with Cars 2 for approaching 19 years and have had many vehicles from them, my latest purchase is the best vehicle I have had from them so far. I would have no hesitation recommending Cars 2 to friends and family. Thank you for another four years of enjoyable motoring.

I don't know where to start with Cars2go at Wakefield Nissan branch. Dom was all over us like a rash, of course he was he wanted his commission. We decided on a BMW and the date was 9th dec 2025. I paid the £1500 deposit and they said it needed the wheel trims de scuffing then |I could have it. I emailed a week later to ask when it would be ready, I got no reply. So, the following week we walked in. As we expected we were met by a smiley salesman, once he realised we were there to find out when my car was ready his smile disappeared - no slae for him! We spoke to the manager who said it was bad customer service that Dom hadn't replied and he would get him to. Just after Christmas I was called and told I could collect my car but it needed to go into BMW for some work on the 6th Jan. I couldn't see the point of collecting it them take it back so I decided to collect it after the 6th. Still heard nothing, so went in on the 12th Jan to be told it was still at BMW. To be fair, I had an email on the 9th to say it wasn't ready yet which I had missed. I was going into hospital the following day and by now I had just had enough so I asked for my deposit back and decided I would look around after my hospitalisation. I was told the money would go back into my account in five working days. I waited eight days, accounting for the weekend, still no refund. I called the admin and left a message. No call back. The following week my partner called the shop, he was told it would be refunded ASAP, it wasn't. My partner then called accounts on 27th Jan and was told that the people in the shop hadn't told accounts to refund me. Abbey said she would call back, she hasn't. It is now Friday 30.01.26 And they still have my money. Almost two months, it's absolutely disgusting and I wouldn't recommend them them to anyone. Beware people.

Had to walk out im not sure they even want to sell cars 10 minutes in & i was still giving information when it came to saying i dont give my email he started to question why.spoke to another salesman outside asked to see some i20s but apparently thats not how cars are sold theses days as i was told quite aggressively.
Absolutely useless, did nothing to help, got out of the car and someone ran over to bother me and didn’t even let me check out the cars in the showroom. The man kept me there for over an hour and didn’t do anything to help, when I asked about the price of purchasing a car he wouldn’t tell us and would also not tell me how much my current car cost! I would give them a 0 star review if I could. I would definitely never go back ever again
I had a Service on Wakefield branch even they didn't replaced my Air cabin filter so how can i trust them what they did? Should every customer need to check after service everything? They didn't put back under tray how should be. Not happy at all. They don't care for the customers.
I purchased a brand new Jaecoo 7 from Cars 2 in Barnsley, and it has been nothing but trouble since I collected it. Initially, there were faults that they fixed; however, more issues arose once I got the car home. I took it back to the garage for repairs, but it had problems again shortly after I arrived home. Since September 2025, this car has been the worst I've ever owned.
There are ongoing electrical issues, including a dead key fob that still doesn't work. As of today, January 2026, I'm waiting for the RAC because the car won't unlock; the red lights come on, but nothing happens. The car charger won't detach either. Cars 2 is not interested in addressing my concerns; they rejected my rejection letter, and the matter is now with the Motor Ombudsman.
Finally won the rejection, so anyone who buys a brand new car and you have issues if it's within 14 days, tell them you are cancelling and give the car back, cars2 have been disgusting they got the car back 10 days ago and have still yet to receive the refund
Wakefield MG - went looking for a car and I am delighted that we ended up with Harry as our salesman as he was superb. Our money was charmed from our pockets and we are more than happy about it. Brilliant car, wonderful service - thank you.
I raised a complaint regarding delays to my car purchase and after sales care. I received a call from my salesperson who gave a genuine apology and I really appreciate this to no end.
However, I was further contacted by Jimmy Gray, a customer service manager from head office. Jimmy was very apologetic regarding our experience and offered us a £50 gesture of good will (to cover the fuel we did not know we had purchased) but this was followed by "but I have a favour to ask you...".
Jimmy asked that I removed the Google review, but I informed him that this was my partner's review but I couldn't make any guarantees because this was otherwise a factual account of our experience and frustrations, and related to multiple failings during the sale.
From this point on, Jimmy's language and tone completely changed and became short and cold. He twice told me he was "confused" as to why we wouldnt amend our review and after some further email contact, he is still "perplexed" as to why the review hasn't been changed and is refusing to provide a transcript of the call, even after I told him I didn't appreciate his constant pressuring.
I note there are other reviews specifically calling out Jimmy's unprofessional and petty behaviour. It is clear that this small man should not be in a customer-facing position.
Edit in response to reply:
It seems unusual that a transcript of my call (which you have stated is available) was refused if Jimmy is truly content with his conduct and language used. However, this is currently with the ICO.
Secondly, I'm not sure what my other reviews have to do with my review of your business? Attempts to discredit my experience are yet another example of the poor institutionalised behaviour I have come to expect from you.

We bought 2 new Seats last year in Barnsley & to be fair, we were happy with the deals & the service.
Booking them in for servicing saw it all go downhill.
The ‘Service Line’ staff were pretty indifferent & gave as little info as possible. Had one done & saw they were no longer a Seat dealers….. Maybe they could have mentioned that when I booked in.
Took the other in a week later & they told they could service it but I’d have to pay as they could no longer claim on Seats service plan…… Said someone tried to contact me but got no answer - despite having 2 phone numbers & an e-mail address.
Wasted trip, wasted time & although the young lady was apologetic, I asked for a call from the Service Line team & guess what…… Still waiting.
The only good news is that JCT 600 have come to the rescue & will be getting my business from here on in.
Cars2 - you are the weakest link.
Goodbye
We had a brilliant young salesman Tom at cars2 Renault / Dacia Wakefield.
Tom was very patient and worked out a very good deal for us on a new car . Thanks Tom !.
Review for sister dealer Pure Cars-Did not list information on a Tesla we reserved to state it had all alloy wheels scuffed, inside of the door dented and slight tear in one of the wheels. Also did not reduce in light of this. We do not trust this dealership so walked away. Now £1000 has been added to the listing. Beware!
Misrepresentation!
Advertised car on Autotrader for £26,995 (wanted another £1000+) when I rang up. Same car advertised from Wakefield for £26,250.
I would trust them.
