My son bought a car there great service delivered to door couldn't fault service Eddie did what he said lovely chappie
I purchased my car in Sept. On face value- lovely man who got an employee to collect me from the station. Telling me all about his wife, daughter, granddaughter- his Dad and his desk made from a spitfire.
Turns out to be a complete fraudster.
The key was broken, we were told they'd be a new key for collection day. Told me he'd transfer me the money it cost to sort the key out myself- never happened. Told me he'd sort the V5- never happened. Told me he'd post the service book- never happened.
Spoke several times since and he is full of BS, and nothing ever materialises.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS MAN.
I bought a car online from this company in late July. The car was delivered to my home address a few days later and it was blatantly obvious that it was a far cry from the car described. Lots of faults including a clutch on the way out, aircon didn't work, odd sized tyres on the rear axle, description said, "fully serviced, valeted , and full service history" none of which was done or provided. He didn't send the V5 with the car for goodness knows what reason. Rang him and asked for a refund, he agreed to collect the car. Waited for the refund which wasn't forthcoming despite the receipt stating "14 day money back guarantee". After waiting for over a fortnight, I instigated court proceedings which he completely ignored. Waited a further month and issued a CCJ which he totally ignored. So, applied for a Warrant of Control, meaning if he didn't refund me, the bailiffs would visit him. I then heard from the Court that he had called them and offered to repay the money by three instalments. First was due on 4th December, but as expected, he defaulted. Heard from Suffolk Trading Standards who said they were investigating his business and then from a friend who told me that the business had been raided by the Police and Trading Standards in mid December. I received a letter from the Court today, December 29th advising of the default and as such, the Warrant of Control would be executed but it seems the business has closed permanently. So, zero chance of getting my £4,700 back. The owner is a convicted criminal, which of course, I had no idea of when I bought the car. I hope they chuck the book at him, he's a disgrace.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS EDDY ELLIS OR CAR STATION SUFFOLK.
I purchased a nissan navara from Eddy. 15th Ocotber he delivered it to my address. I paid to the bank details he gave, which turned out to be his personal bank and not the company. After a couple of days I found several faults, including major faults. Major oil leak spurting over whole engine, gearbox fault, engine fault which smoked more than a diesel train out the back. An independent mechanic checked the vehicle and stated it should never have passed an MOT on emissions, not to mention the welding underneath which made the vehicle chassis unstable.
I spoke to Eddy who said he would fix the faults. I heard nothing. I told him I needed the car to take my disabled wife to hospital appointments yet still nothing. After advice, I chose not to continue with the purchase and took the vehicle back to him. Eddy said I would get a full refund. I waited a week and heard nothing. After several messages being ignored he said I had to wait 14 days for refund. 14 days came and went. Again, no reply to my contact. When I finally got hold of him he said he didn't have the money and I would have to wait until he sells the car again. Again I waited. His website showed he had resold the car.( which seems to have been returned and is now back for sale again) I contacted again but no reply. Finally he said he would refund £2000 on the Monday and the rest the following weekend. Monday came and went and nothing again. I had no chioce but report this despicable person and business to Trading Standards and the Vehicle Ombudsman, which he is not even a member of.
I have also had to go to the fraud team with the police due to Eddy not refunding but also selling the car on as this is also classed as theft due me technically owning the car. It has now been nearly a month and a half and no refund at all. This week I will be starting court procedings to claim my money back plus all the expenses I have had to pay out.
Before even going to this crooked dealer, check the reviews online and you will see what kind of businesses he has and has several shut down for the same reason. I wish I did.
