AVOID

Blinds fell off window after fitter left and closing the blinds. That was Friday afternoon. He refused to come back to fix until the Monday because he said ge was at a big job in Bangor. Had to get a relative to cone and re hang the living room blind otherwise there would of been nothing on the window. Fitter used old holes and the wrong wall plugs to hang blinds. When he returned on Monday he had the cheek to say the relative who fixed the blinds did a good job. No money off or anything for the inconvenience just offered to replace the 6 broken slots.

I ordered blinds for my mother-in-laws…

I ordered blinds for my mother-in-laws new flat. I had no idea what colour to go so many choices the selection was fantastic. The windows are dark brown Glen suggested that white blinds would look good against the windows. They arrived in time fitted to perfection . I would highly recommend Cascade Blinds. Top service from start to finish

Great company/Great fitter/Great experience

Great service from telephone call to fitting.
The windows were measured on 28/7 and fitted 4 days later-that's an efficient service.
The guy who measured and fitted the blinds was polite, professional and efficient. He cleaned up after each window and tied the old blinds so I could easily move them outside. I would highly recommend this company.

Absolutely shocking costumer service

Absolutely shocking costumer service! Arranged for someone to call and measure up at 3.10pm.. arrived home at 3.06pm to find a note through my door stating that they had called at 3.10pm and missed me.. how is that even possible??! I phoned to rearrange a new time to be rudely told that I could only book a 4 hour slot. Asked them if I could arrange a specific time after 3pm as I work until then. Rudely told to take a day off work or to just phone back next time I’m off and then he hung up. Clearly they don’t need the business or just don’t care about their customers!

Zero customer service

A venetian blind with a perforated pattern seemed ideal for the bathroom. Once fitted, great in the daytime but at night any passerby had a perfect view of anyone at the washbasin, in the shower or on the loo. It was as if there was no blind there at all. How could an 'expert blind specialist' allow this to have been ordered for this use? So it needs to be replaced with a non-perforated one. But the shop not only accepts no responsibility whatsoever for the mistake and no discount for yet another purchase but wants to charge £15 more than last time for another blind because I'm only ordering one instead of three!! Couldn't make it up. Zero customer service and will never go there again. Suggest you don't either.

I wish I could give 0 stars

I wish I could give 0 stars. I contacted Cascade Blinds and after some delay Glenn came to our property to measure for 2 roller blinds. We chose the materials, paid a dpisit and were to,d the blinds would be available in 2 weeks. After 3 weeks we had heard nothing, so we had to contact the company who advised the fabric for one of the blinds was not available and that Warren would contact us on Thursday to sort it out. After three days hearing nothing we contacted the company again. Warren the phoned and arranged to call on the Tuesday to fit one blind and for us to choose a new fabric for the other. He then phoned back to say neither blind had been made up. We cancelled the order and are arranging to have our deposit returned. Avoid avoid avoid

Cascade Falls in a heap.

I ordered 5 vertical blinds from a company in England. (I do a lot of shopping online.) When it came to selecting a courier to deliver the blinds, it was then that the company found that one of the blinds was too big for the courier. To reduce the burden on the English company I said to deliver only the louvres, I would get the headrails manufactured here in Northern Ireland. (Big mistake.) The company I chose was Cascade Blinds of Bangor, Northern Ireland. For the amount of interest they showed, I might as well have asked my milkman to make the headrails. They told me it would take 10 to 14 days to make the headrails. (I worked for 10 years in a company that made window blinds. We never took longer than a week to turn around an order.) I contacted them, when I thought that they had had long enough to make them and was told that "Yes, they are here ready for collection." I wonder how long they would kept me waiting before contacting me. I drove 15 miles (30 miles round trip) to collect the headrails. When I got home I discovered that one headrail was the wrong size. Actually twice the size required/ordered. When I contacted Cascade Blinds I was asked to send a photo of the headrails I had received. Which I did. I was told by the company rep that because my name was so common that this sort of mistake occurred often. I was then told that the heardrail would be manufactured urgently. I said there would be no hurry since the window in question was being replaced. A week passed, the window was replaced and I contacted the company to find oout if the headrail was ready. I was told that the driver had the headrail in his van to deliver it, but since he was not going in my direction it would be a while before I could receive it. They said it would be in their office for me to collect on Monday. Today, Monday, 7/3/2022 I drove 15 miles to collect my headrail and to return the incorrect one. Job done.
Not really and this is why I decided to write a review of this company. My wife had asked me if I would order three more blinds from Cascade Blinds to match the five that I had already purchased. So, while I was in the reception area I asked the lady there if she could give me a price for the additional three blinds. I provided her with a list of the three new blinds. I also asked her if they had a blackout fabric to match the sample I had brought with me. First of all she asked me how many vanes/louvres I required. I explained that I only needed enough to suit the finished blinds. She didn't seem to understand what I was saying. She showed me their very limited range of blackout fabrics. The white was lighter than I needed, the cream was darker. I asked if I could show the colour range to my wife who was downstairs in the car. The lady went on about posting a piece of the fabrics to my home. I explaind that my wife just needeed to approve the colour and I would give Cascade Blinds the go-ahead to manufacture. She said that in that case she would wait until my wife had picked a fabric, before she would give me a price and practically threw the list of blind sizes back at me. I took the fabric samples out into the hallway, thought about it and went back into the reception. Excused myself and told the lady that I wouldn't bother getting my blinds there. There was no emotion or, "Oh wait sir, I'm sure I can help you further." Nothing.
If Cascade Blinds, Bangor, County Down are the last remaining blind company in the world, I stick newspapers to my windows before I would give them my business. Rude and unhelpful.
