USELESS!!!!

They are unable to continue taking payment from well in date credit card and then you are locked out. You cannot speak to anyone to sort it out and wait forever for reply to email. Absolutely non existent customer service. And this is not the first time!!!

AWFUL SOFTWARE AND NO WAY TO CANCEL RENEWAL

I bought this software as my accountant insisted I use the same software as them. It has proven to be awful - worse than just keep an excel spreadsheet. I've now changed accountant and moved over to Xero - but here's the issue - I can't even cancel the auto-renewal they've set up on this subscription. I can't delete my payment details. There is no-one to speak to. Emails to customer support have been ignored. I am now taking this up with my bank to block the payment in Jan 2027. I don't even want my money back I just want them to cancel my subscription and delete my details. DO NOT TOUCH THEM.

Awful user experience

Very basic software, looks like something from the '80's and has utterly horrendous user experience..! They also lock you in for a min of 12 months. Only got this as VAT became fully digital and accountant suggested using this. Way better options out there.

Mediocre software, shady subscriptions

Like others here, our church purchased the desktop version of Cashflow Manager and used that for ~8 years. We persisted in the face of bugs and data corruption. Recently we were convinced to purchase a 12 month subscription, on the understanding that we could cancel or go to month-to-month at the end. However, during that 12 month period they changed their terms and conditions to allow them to auto-renew for another 12 months without consulting us. I cancelled immediately upon learning of this, but they had also added a 30-day cancellation period and refused to refund the charge. In summary then, mediocre software backed by shady business practices. Avoid this company and their software - you'd be better off setting your money on fire, because at least then you'd save on heating bills.

I purchased the program outright as did…

I purchased the program outright as did my husband. We have two separate businesses not linked at all. I am not VAT registered but they said I must pay monthly. My husbands business is on the flat rate, what a nightmare! It was calculating that he would pay VAT twice.
Before I was cut off from my program they wiped all my info and then replaced it with my husbands business info! When I challenged them on this they ignored the mix up! I also said how could they charge a monthly fee when nowhere in the package when I bought it mentioned this! Would reporting them to the ombudsman help?

I purchased their package outright and…

I purchased their package outright and use to put my figures together and send to the accountant
Cashflow managers have locked me out of my program, I cannot even get access to my books to date and they are attempting to extort money if I want this access
I would rather close the business but I will inform my accountant and HMRC and I will probably serve papers on Cashflow Mangers
Spread the word

Cash Flow Manager shut you out of your own business unless you pay more

5 years ago we purchased an accounts package to allow us to do our own books and then pass the information to our accountant to do the rest.If you have an older version of CFM's accounting package which you purchased in the past and paid good money for you will now know that CFM have locked you out of your package and require you to purchase a monthly license if you want access to your own historical data. If you do not purchase this going forward then you have lost all access to however many years accounts information you may have on what is effectively a glorified accounting spreadsheet. If you use the support and the invoicing options etc, which we do not, then this might be a reasonable option but if, as we do, you only use it as a business to record your transactions and then give this information to your accountant to do anything else the business requires and simply use it on a month to month basis to keep track of this basic requirement then it seems dreadful that CFM deprive you of all access to your own records unless you pay them a monthly fee. They have effectively shut down our small business unless we pay them more money for a product which we thought we had purchased years ago to use as a spreadsheet for our business. I wish I had simply made up my own spreadsheet. They offer no options for this use of their software and although they informed us of the changes they do not consider any of their customers who might be using this package simply to record information. It is assumed that all businesses use all the options in their package. If there are any small business owners out there who might want to simply record accounting information on a spreadsheet then do not subscribe to CFM as you are not in control of your own information. They claim that the software is not HMRC compliant but as our accountant digitally submits the information to HMRC on our behalf CFM are misleading those of us who purchased their package simply to do offline book-keeping and to hold those records for business purposes.
