I have given four stars because, although I am delighted with the windows, there were some minor issues with the installation and attention to detail.
I chose Castle Home Renovations because of the integrity of Paul, the salesman who came to see me.
He advised me that the back door and the windows to a 2016 kitchen extension and garage conversion did not need replacing because they are recent additions and would not look out of place with the profile of the replacement windows they could supply.
This saved me a lot of money.
He showed me two windows from their basic and higher specification ranges. I chose the better of the two with a narrower trim than previously installed. I was told that the installers would take off the old trim and that I didn’t have to do anything - more of that later!
When the surveyor came to measure everything up I specifically said that the peephole in the front door must be at the height for a woman of just over 5ft to see through - more of that later!
The two-man team of installers came earlier than booked because the company called me and said the original client had covid. The earlier date was fine with me. The only problem was that they didn’t mention that the patio doors wouldn’t be ready to install at the same time - attention to detail.
The installers did a decent job but they weren’t very thorough in clearing up after themselves either inside or outside. I found shards of broken plastic, bits of packing and even long screws on the carpet and the outside path.
I had expected to have to decorate around the windows because of the difference in width of the trims, but they hadn’t cleared the old glue off the walls from the wider trims before they fitted the new trims. I cleaned the old glue off the walls but the sealant they had edged the new trims with came off in long strips as I worked.
I contacted the company the day after I had the problem and also because a high wind after the windows were installed made a whistling sound in my bedroom. I had previously told them that the front door knocker didn’t have a peephole fitted (just the hole) and that they had only supplied three front door keys and not six as ordered. I didn’t say anything to them about the lack of attention to clearing up.
The company promised that they would order the extra keys and the peephole and that they would check out the noisy window and correct the sealant problem when the patio doors were installed.
The two-man team who came to install the patio doors was different from the first team.
They couldn’t hear any noise from the upstairs window because it wasn’t a windy day but checked it out and put in extra packing where I told them the noise had come from. It cured the problem.
They put new sealant around the trims and did a lovely job with the patio doors. They cleaned up thoroughly after they’d installed the doors. The only issue is that the door handle on the patio doors is bright chrome and all of the other handles they supplied are brushed chrome……attention to detail again. I decided not to raise that issue with the company.
I had to chase the company up about the keys and peephole but eventually everything was complete.
The only fly in the ointment is that I can’t see out of the peephole because it’s too high up!
They supply a really good product which I would recommend.

The salesman took route in our house, quoted a ridiculously high price, so told him 'not interested' hey ho the price halves.
Agreed to 5 windows and a front door.
19.31 the day before fitters due, phone call said they couldn't get any scaffolding so not coming, (it's only a 2 storey house) only required a ladder.
Windows fitted ok from a ladder 2 weeks later.
The door was a disaster, didn't fit square in frame and fouled the frame when closing.
Surveyor came out,'the door needs to come out and be refitted'
Send out a fitter who was told 'it just needs adjusting' but he took one look and said same as surveyor.
Here we are 4 weeks later still waiting for a nice new front door which opens and closes.

After sending a letter of rejection I received a phone call and appointment made for following week F15/07, they failed to appear and I've heard nothing more from them, hopeless useless company, avoid avoid avoid

I had windows and front door installed in 2021, first of all, the knocker was missing and they had to come back the following day, lots and lots of defects overall. once I was locked out of the house, the door was not installed properly and still kept on jamming, I had to call a locksmith to let me in the house! after chasing the manager multiple times who was never available to answer my complaints, I ended up getting the insurance and solicitors involved. They told me it was interest-free for 10 years. Very bad news, the bank statement came with £2000 of interest to pay. I`m still dealing with it and no sign of replies from Castle home renovations
Please don't get trapped like I did

Door was installed well but the door knocker was missing. Almost 7 months later after multiple email chasers and phone calls the door knocker has still not been installed despite them requesting and taking payment.

Quality of product = 4 stars

This is one company to avoid at any price, I bad unlikely to make a expensive contact with them on April to change all doors and window on my house after 6 months they come whit half good and half wrong sizes, after 2 more visits whit wrong sizes and a pice of play on windows for 4 months they managed to finish in September. I still have a lot of materials left in my garden and they done last direct debit whit out my consent. My advice is to avoid this expensive and unprofessional company
