Would not honor new discount within a few weeks of purchase

I am a volunteer chatechist and chose to purchase Bibles out of pocket for a Christmas gift to each child in my class. Expensive, yes, but I couldn’t imagine a better gift for a child growing in their faith and again it was my choice to do so. When I made the purchase, I had a coupon code for 10% off. A few weeks later, I received a text from them offering 20% off of a purchase. I called to see what could be done, as it was only a couple of weeks prior that I made the purchase and really thought they would honor the new offer. The woman on the phone was surprisingly unpleasant- maintained an annoyed attitude from the start and an unwillingness to budge on the coupon switch. I explained that I just started doing this tradition of purchasing Bibles for each child last year and wanted to continue this moving forward, etc. She had me on hold for a bit and when she returned, she again shot me down cold with regard to honoring the new discount. By that point, I had already pleaded my case a few times- respectfully and politely, but she wasn’t budging and so I (with a bit of an attitude myself at this point) told her I would now take all business elsewhere and hung up. I am keeping the Bibles for my class, as I truly want them to have these Bibles to prayerfully keep and to turn to as a way to grow closer to OUR GOOD LORD. But as for Catholic Gifts and More, the unpleasant attitude received (just be kind!) was not a reflection of how we are to treat one another, and the fact that she did not even attempt to try to work with me on how to resolve this led to my blocking all communications with them, in addition to prompting me to write this review. I will take my business elsewhere for all future class Bible and other purchases. I pray that OUR GOOD LORD guide her to peace and heal her from her troubles and I hope that Catholic Bibles and More will choose to work on their customer service skills…

This company practices fraudulent…

This company practices fraudulent shipping procedures. They do not let the customer know that an item is on back order on their website prior to purchasing. This was my first time ordering from this company and I will never order again. I ordered 3 items all in stock on their site on March 2, 2025. I paid $32.91 for 2 day shipping. I only received 2 of my items on March 5,2025. The shipping invoice states in the smallest area possible apparently that my other item is now listed as back ordered. What? No email, no notification except on the shipping invoice from my package. The first email I get about my order states my last item has now shipped (emailed 3/7). Mind you this was the first email concerning anything from my entire order I got from them. I never received a thank you for your order confirmation, nor a shipping email confirmation for my first items I received. Weird. So my last item shipped 3/7/25 and it’s not going to arrive now until 3/14/25. An entire 12 days (8-10 business days) from my original order date. So I call them. The customer service lady Blanca Ortiz proceeds to gas light me into saying I ordered the candles knowing they were back ordered. Nope. No I didn’t. Cause if I did, I wouldn’t have ordered them. Then proceeds to tell me the Invoice they “emailed me” (never got) also says they are back ordered. Well the invoice on my online account with their website does not say anything about it being back ordered. In my online account, my last item it says is being shipped 2day express however I’m not receiving it until 14 March so I ask her why am I not getting it 2day express? She tells me that all backordered items get shipped ground. So I asked for a refund on my shipping charge of $32. She says she cannot refund me anything because I knowingly bought it under backorder. I have all the proof that shows it never saying it was back ordered, except the shipping packing list in a small area after I bought it. I will never purchase anything from this company again.
