Feels like a scam

Our experience was horrible. Terrible communications, promising timelines and then not nearly meeting them, the whole thing felt like we were being lead on... They (obviously) expected payment in advance and from that point on it all felt dodgy. When we finally got our CDs in, 90% of the cardboard CD boxes were destroyed by glue. Around half of the CDs don't seem to work at all. The seller has said they would refund us and then sent us only £56 saying the CDs are fine so they're only refunding the boxes (although we paid £311.99 for the whole horror of an experience and now have a product we can't sell, so no idea how the jokers calculated this). We asked for a full refund but not heard back. Our original order was April 2024 and we're still waiting for a refund...

Side note, I actually met someone yesterday who used the words 'we got scammed by CD Unity' so sounds like this is their standard practice.

Awful - wrong template - NO COMMUNICATION!!

I was SO disappointed to receive the wrong design of my CDs . For some reason Tom had decided to use a different template to what I ordered. He then decided to not answer emails or phone calls :(
He eventually agreed to reprint the covers and even this was a nightmare. Again not responding to communication - which is SO frustrating and stressful.
Eventually I did get what I ordered. His logo is "trusted by hunderds of bands " well I will NEVER be using CD Unity again.

They couldn’t be bothered with it.

I sent the CD artwork which was sent back for me to check, and I asked to send an amended file as I wanted to change something. The new artwork was ignored as were my messages questioning if it had been received and why it wasn’t being used. In the end they altered the original (quicker I guess, a bit of a fudge) and sent the sleeves in a different template to the one designed for, in the wrong finish, claiming the one used is "much better". The one I'd designed for is still on the website. My question as to why this was not mentioned before printing have been ignored…. again.

Offers service with promises they can't keep

We were running behind a PR deadline for digipaks printing due to a mishap with another printer. I called CD unity explaining that my situation was extremely urgent and was reassured by Tom "not to worry" and given a 2-week turnover estimate. I've uploaded all files instantly everytime something was required. 11 days later after that phonecall I was dryly told it will be another 3 weeks or more, without any sorry. If I was told the estimate was over a month I would have immediately go to another printer. A horrible experience that wasted my time and made my initial problem far far worse.
