I purchased a carpet that cost £400 for my living room, after 3 months it started to fail, loose bits of pile appearing, the pile going very flat. I contacted them, they sent the carpet fitter down to look after me telling them it was a quality issue nothing to do with the fitting. After weeks of calls asking me stupid questions like what hoover i have the manufacturer of the carpet agreed to give Central Carpets a credit and this allowed me to choose another carpet and that's what i did, to my disappointment they said i had to pay for the fitting again as it was nothing to do with them, I said really that's not right, surely if the carpet had an issue only after 3 months i shouldn't have to pay again, again they said yes you do as it's nothing to do with us and if you want it fitted you pay the £100. This means that Central Carpets have done nothing in this process at all, i have been a customer for over 25 years to this company and this is how the current management treat their customers. I won't be back. Think about this people before you buy from this company.
Beware of the call you get from shop staff day before fitting!! telling you after you have purchased all carpets and are waiting on fitting taking place and know your fitting price given by sales assistant, then the shop calls to say the fitting price is wrong and it is £50 more to fitters, this is what they did to my elderly mum who suffers from Alzheimer's, in-turn she got herself in a state about it and I had to lend her the money, I also found a review on google confirming there is history of this being done to others many times.
