Excellent facilities and lots of classes
We are regular overnight guests to Champneys. The facilities are great and there a lots of fitness classes to choose from. Jamiela is particularly good and offers high energy classes with a smile.

And relax....
I recently visitited Champneys Tring with a few of my friends. we had a lovley stay. The facilites are great and we lved the pools and relaxing lounge areas. Our favourite were the relaxation beds! Breakfast and Lunch were good but seemed understaffed. However dinner was great, the food was so fresh and tasted amazing, the portions are huge and we left very satisfied. Special Mention to our waitress Gabby, she was a huge help and gave great reccomendations.

I will never purchase anything at Champneys again. My husband bought £150 gift card at the Champneys store in Enfield and it doesn’t even work. I tried several times and it just does not work. I tried calling the the Branch in Henlow, central reservations and customer service as well as the Enfield branch and they do not get back to you or answer your calls. The most poor customer service and unhelpful staff! Just not worth the stress! Go somewhere else!

I visited for the day and had a fabulous experience
I visited for the day and had a fabulous time. So many lovely spots to relax and unwind. So pleased to see the buffet back. I did a spin class with Tom and he was so enthusiastic and inspiring. Had a lot of knowledge regarding exercise.

Just had a 2 night stay with my sister
Just had a 2 night stay with my sister. Had a lovely time, food was lovely, relaxing around the pool and jacuzzi’s. Andrew was on reception, made us feel very welcome and was helpful, remembering us from previous stays. A very kind and friendly person, who enhanced our experience, again.
Thank you Summer!
Thank you Summer! Fabulous facial and neck / head massage. Feel like a new woman :-)

Nuggets of gold
We have just had a 3 night break at the Springs venue. I have a few comments.
Firstly as a vitality member the booking process was awful to say the least, we tried for over a week to book via the website but it would not allow us to eventually we managed to talk to somebody at the reservation phone line. The gentleman who deal with us was incredibly patient and very helpful as by this time I was not a happy bunny!
We opted to upgrade to another room so we’re very pleased with that.
The room itself needed a little TLC. Tiles on the bathroom floor were loose and no grouting. No plug socket on one side of the bed which in this day and age was crazy. Whilst the coffee machine and pods were great disappointed no decaf option.
Menu for dinner was the same all three nights we stayed so I had the same thing twice. The evening food on the whole was very nice not very consistent as to what is on the menu and what you are served. One night beef was with the sour cream and chive and the mushroom which it said on the menu one night not. Kale was served with it but not stated on the menu fortunately my wife likes kale as I do not.
Breakfast was a buffet which was nice, tea and coffee which before had been served in pots to your table was now help yourself from a machine. The one problem for me was the hot food was not hot! I had mushrooms and scrambled egg which had just been put out. Mushrooms cold and egg was just warm.
Lunch for me was not great the second day. The selection of salads were lovely but the choices of hot food was not really hot at all. Fish chowder was all sauce and peas no fish just a few small pieces of squid. And like warm.
But the one golden nugget in our stay were the staff. I do hope you are paying them well! Without them I would have been very unhappy.
These are some of the staff who made our stay so special with their service.
Catrina and Massimo at breakfast were excellent and went above and beyond to make sure we’re were taken care of. Rowan, Oscar and a young lady who had tattoos I’m sorry I didn’t get her name were all incredibly friendly and attentive and ensured we knew what we had to do for food etc. Ibby and Karla were wonderful hosts at dinner and made sure we had exactly what we need and my wife knew what options she could have as she was gluten free. Lastly both Megan and Jen were very helpful on reception especially when £14 had been added to our bill for charity and tips
All in all I would give 2* for the venue but 5* for the staff so opted for 4*
Amazing
This place is fabulous, from their famous spa and comfortable bedrooms everything is awesome. I also really enjoyed the dining area and exquisite cuisine provided by Champneys. I would like to also give a special thanks to Ben Branch who served me on the day I visited. His professionalism and expertise were excellent.

Champneys Springs
Having arrived yesterday afternoon at Champneys Springs, we had a lovely and efficient check in with the reception staff.
One of the highlights so far has been the food. The evening meal was delicious - as well as looking and smelling great. We were very well looked after by Abi.
Breakfast this morning was delightful - it was a real treat to have the choice of so many things. There were lots of gluten free options to enjoy for breakfast and lunch, which Catrina helpfully pointed out.
I tried a yoga class this morning and thought I was the only one attending but discovered 5 minutes later that it was located somewhere else which wasn’t particularly helpful. Other than that, so far, so good.

We booked an overnight stay at…
We booked an overnight stay at Champneys Tring with two of our friends. While we'd stayed here before, it was their first time at a Champneys, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Check-in was quick and easy, and our rooms were ready when we arrived. The rooms were warm and cozy, setting the tone for a relaxing stay.
Dinner was fantastic. Two of us had steaks, cooked to different preferences, and both were prepared exactly as we’d requested. The service was exceptional, and our server was incredibly friendly and attentive.
Two of our group enjoyed treatments, which they loved. The spa was fully booked, so I’d recommend booking treatments early to ensure availability.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience in a charming and welcoming environment at Champneys.
Website is just terrible
Website is just terrible. I have had a voucher since 2023 and tried to use website several times, giving up each time. The last time I tried to book a stay there was a computer system issue and although I didn't manage to book I got repeated reminders to come for the stay I had booked.....Now I have emailed customer service but given the other reviews on here I don't hold up much hope!

Riding on its name
Visited the Springs in Leicestershire. Thankfully it was a half price offer. The offer included snacks, lunch and a tote bag. Found out about breakfast from overhearing a customer mention it. Good choice of continental buffet style breakfast.
Facilities very basic and run down. A small sauna, a jacuzzi, a swirl pool in the swimming pool area. A small sauna and a small steam room in changing room. Swirl pool closed in the afternoon. Went back to reception as we realised we hadn't been given our tote bags. Apparently these had been ordered but not arrived. I asked about being offered something as an alternative as this was part of our package. Told no. Reiterated that this was part of package that we had paid for. After the manager was asked we were offered a paper carrier bag from the Champney shop. We declined this and made it clear that this was not acceptable. A offer to post out the tote bag would have been acceptable. Lunch was not very hot, although, on a positive note there was plenty of choice for vegetarians. Yes, I could have mentioned the food temperature but didn't want to add any further negativity of having poor experience. No de-cafe available in coffee machine, no snacks available throughout the day. I will not be using Champney again. My experience is much better at other spa's.

Champneys Tring : Honest (hopefully balanced) review
We looked into various spa’s for a short break prior to choosing Champneys Tring. Due to poor reviews for other spa’s we trusted the ’Champneys’ brand and booked prior to checking reviews. Out of curiosity I checked reviews for Champneys Tring after booking only to find scathing review after review. At this point we had booked an overnight spa package, upgraded room and had paid for two additional massages. The reviews were so bad that we tried to cancel our booking but Champneys did not allow this. We instead cancelled our massages with a view of just making the most of our non-refundable overnight spa package as best as we could. NEGATIVES : Promises 5* experience but delivers 3+* experience. Parking is terrible and not enough spaces. There were several occasions we saw people driving around for some time just to park. We ourselves only just managed to park in a tight squeeze. Spa facilities are small and nowhere near big enough for the amount of guests that could be there. Jacuzzi, steam, sauna and small pool area get busy very quickly. We were here in Jan off-peak so can only imagine how crowded it must get in peak season. On two occasions there were no towels in spa / pool areas and had to rely on my robe to dry off. My gown had stains however my partners was OK. Place is tired and needs an overhaul and needs redecorating throughout most of the site. It is not as clean as it could be. There was dirt in our room and bathroom on arrival and in most common areas including steam room. Our shower was bad and all taps wobbly. Took ages to get hot water and the water pressure is bad at best. It appears this spa attracts individuals who may not be conscientious of other guests so if you are coming for a quiet relaxing break forget it. POSITIVES : the site is not AS bad as other reviews may suggest. Overall we were glad we came, and with an open mind had a good stay. The site is warm. The main pool is good and we even joined in an aqua-class. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The massages were excellent - great experience with Ellie - my partner stated Ellie gave her one of the best massages she has ever had and made a personal request for Ellie to give her a facial massage the following day which she accommodated. Facial massages were excellent. The main restaurant and food was excellent. Great choice and food was high-standard. Charlie in the restaurant was very attentive, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Only negative from the restaurant was our omelette was served burnt at breakfast but that’s the only gripe. From reading other reviews and having been there I have no doubt that those reviews are accurate and those experiences are as described however, we went with an open mind knowing what the issues could be and were pleasantly surprised. It could be that this was the difference as we knew what to expect rather than discover negatives ourselves!?!
Don't bother with booking a manicure!
I have just stayed at Eastwell Manor for Spa day at Champneys. I booked in for a gel manicure as a treat for myself, but I shouldn't have bothered. The treatment its self was below sub standard. My cuticles were barely touched, not exfoliation, the gel polish was left on my skin after curing. I was asked to take my rings or bracelets so the massage ( if I can call it that ) was uncomfortable. It cost £71! I wish I had saved my money.
