Where can I start? Chaneys should be avoided at all cost. Rude staff, no replies to emails. Never answer emails. Totally useless and should be shut down

Appalling performance by this company. They have not provided my mother with a copy of the accounts for several years. She has now fallen into arrears with her maintenance fees due to ill health but have refused my offer to make good the situation. On the contrary, they have instructed a solicitor to chase the debt from a frail 88 year old lady. Again I have emailed my offer but still received no reply. If you phone them you are directed to their voicemail which is full! Disgraceful. Avoid.
I don't know how this company averages at 2.5 stars. I would give them zero stars if it was an option. They have been "managing" our community in Ascot for the last three years and have failed completely on the most basic aspects of estate management. They are unable to produce reliable financial accounts for the last three years, and as a result have no control whatsoever over the reserve funds. We constantly have to arrange to fix issues ourselves rather than doing it through them as they take literally months and months to do anything, and then make a mess of it. They are utterly unresponsive in general. We also constantly have to intervene to get suppliers' bills paid. The only thing they do semi-efficiently is chase service charge payments. The only reason that we haven't fired them years ago is because the community hasn't been handed over by the original developer so we don't have control. MY STRONG RECOMMENDATION IS TO AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.
Awful. Tried to extend the lease and for a year got no real response. Offer accepted on property but legal proceedings taking ages. Turns out there is an issue with the headlease and other leases which is making my property unsellable. Nothing I have done but something they have allowed/done. No reply from them. I am going to lose my sale and potentially not be able to sell my property. Seeking legal advice.
I was assisted today by Lucy, and she was absolutely wonderful and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She supported me every step of the way and went above and beyond to deliver a spot-on solution to my challenge.
I was truly impressed by her professionalism, outstanding customer service, and the genuine care she showed. Her positive attitude and warm smile made all the difference, even when the situation seemed quite challenging. Lucy was simply divine in her approach — a true credit to her team!
Really poor management company. I have been trying for three years to have the water damaged area immediately outside my front door (in the communal area of Petworth Court - no 46) repaired / repainted after a leak from the roof and they either don't respond to requests or simply ignore my emails. When I do get Abbey on phone she promises to look into it and get back to me but never does. Twice I have written formal emails, demanding some response or action, to her manager and get ignored there too. They really are appalling.
Haven't been replying to emails for literally months
I am a leaseholder in a property managed by Chaneys, and I have observed significant issues with their accounting practices, inefficient processes, and poor management. These shortcomings are leading to unnecessary costs for all leaseholders. It is imperative that we replace this management company to ensure fair and transparent financial management of the estate.
