If you want quality shoes, I'd shop elsewhere. I bought a pair of shoes for £95, after just 4 months of wearing them the soles came away from the upper making the shoes unwearable. They hadn't even been worn a lot, the treads on the soles had almost no wear yet. I inquired about a refund and was told that this was normal and expected wear and tear. I would very much hope any pair of shoes would last longer than 4 months, but especially ones which cost £95.

The staff also could use some customer service training as they weren't particularly polite or helpful.

What is happening to supplying quality shoes in non-branded boxes? I have been a customer of CC, specifically committed to buying a particular brand - boots, shoes and sandals for over 3 decades. Brand loyality, before it became a byword. I use the branded boxes for storage (so again sustainability before popular), also helps find the particular pair. I received the brand, with a note inside claiming if the branded box is not in sufficient condition, they will use CC own. I returned the order and chose to order, what I though was the brand's own site. Turns out somewhere in small print that it is CC - and again same sandals in CC box with a note making claim about condition of the brand box. If this is to be policy then should make it clear to the buyer. As a result loss of brand loyalty in a tough market, and won't buy from CC again. Put this information clearly and allow buyer to make the choice. Once could understand, but twice - not convinced.

The sandals were delivered by standard delivery within 3 days,the date expected.
They were in a strong cardboard shoe box.
The sandals were exactly as shown and described online.
I'll definitely shop online with Clinkard again.

I had a few problems ordering online so contacted Charles Clinkard by phone. Lady couldn’t have been more helpful. Order was quick & efficient - both pairs of sandals arrived fairly quickly and so pleased with them and the sale price, I kept both pairs.

Must admit Clinkard's are our favourite show shop. Great products and very helpful staff.

The website was user-friendly, so my purchase was easily made. The price was competitive, communication was good, and delivery was prompt. I was very satisfied with the service from Charles Clinkard, and would certainly use this company again.

Very helpful. Bought 2 pairs. One of which was by order. Very comfortable. So much so that I went back with a friend. Had 3 more pairs. So much more comfortable than other high street brands.

Recently ordering a last pair of shoes online, they wrote to tell me they couldn't fulfil the order as they were out of stock. But they had placed a special order to source them from Germany for me if I still wanted them. Agreeing, in the meantime they they contacted me to say a pair had come back in stock and they were being sent out earlier. Such a breath of fresh air these days to get such good communication and great customer service going the extra mile. Most companies would just have sent an email saying my item was out of stock and that would have been the end of it.

Good website with quality shoes and sandals and quick delivery. Returns are process promptly.

I have never heard of this company and came across it when I was looking for doctor marten sandals for my granddaughter, i couldn’t believe it when I found a pair for £30 and also fast delivery I will definitely be buying from them again

Ordered 2 pair of sandals same style different colours. Delivery was fast. Unfortunately I had to return 1 pair as I didn’t like the colour so returned them to my nearest shop in Cribbs Causeway. Lovely lady who served me refunded with no problem. In this day and age it is such a pleasure to receive such good service, of which I always receive when I shop in Charles Clinkard.

Prices pretty good to, the only reason I'm giving four stars is because the buckle on the item was br9ken.

Excellent service, but sadly had to return shoes as they were too small. Although I ordered a size 9, I sometimes find that if they are a 9/42, they are small, but a 9/43 usually fits. However the return process is straightforward, although you have to pay your own postage.
