Poor service avoid at all costs

Poor service, inconsistent information, and lack of professionalism

My experience with CHAS has been very disappointing. Last year I did not receive the full level of accreditation I paid for, and despite raising this, it was never properly resolved.

During renewal this year, communication was extremely poor. I received multiple calls from the same person on the same day, with no apparent record of previous conversations. I was initially offered a 15% discount, then later told this was no longer available and that only a 10% discount could be applied — a clear contradiction.

Despite clearly stating that I would not be renewing, an invoice was still issued. This suggests a lack of internal communication and control, which is concerning for a company operating within a compliance and accreditation framework.

Overall, the experience has cost my business time, caused unnecessary stress, and has left me with little confidence in the service or processes. I would strongly advise others to carefully consider their options before committing.

avoid at all costs if possible

every year they leave it until the last minute to ask for information which then leaves us in a position with no up to date certificate and at risk of not being paid by our main contractors.

I would not recommend using CHAS for…

I would not recommend using CHAS for your health and safety accreditation as they are not good for my health at the moment, the assessors do not reply to emails, they do not answer the phone or ring you back if you leave a message, I rang customer services but could not understand the operative on the phone as their English was very limited, I have been trying for three days now to find out why I can't download this years certificate but I'm not getting anywhere and this is frustrating me alot.
