definitely do not recommend this…

efinitely do not recommend this company.
The whole situation started with a simple request to change the traveler’s name. I was offered a cost of 30 EUR, which I accepted. Unfortunately, for 3 days nothing was updated in the application. I followed up multiple times via email, created support tickets, and even tried to get a response through their AI chat, but without success.
The next day, I suddenly received information that the cost of the change had increased to 223 EUR. After I refused and decided not to continue with the trip, I asked for cancellation, as I did not agree with changing previously accepted conditions. Then more “offers” followed, first 193 EUR, and then again back to 30 EUR. There was no consistency, no clear rules, and no proper communication. I had to constantly chase them for any response.
Despite these declarations, the change was still not implemented. Instead of resolving the issue, the company eventually canceled the reservation. I accepted that as a fair outcome, since the problem was resolved without cost for either side.
However, later when I logged into the application to delete my account and personal data, I discovered that the reservation was restored without my consent, and at the same time the option to cancel it free of charge was removed.

The booking was made on 02.06, I attempted to cancel on 05.06, and despite this, they are now demanding around 1100 EUR for cancellation while the total trip cost is about 1700 EUR, which is completely unreasonable.
This was supposed to be a normal, enjoyable vacation. I was even ready to pay the 30 EUR for the name change because I genuinely wanted to go on this trip. Instead, due to the chaos, inconsistent decisions, and lack of responsibility from the company, the situation turned into stress and uncertainty. Reading similar reviews, it seems this is not an isolated case.
Everything started with a simple change of traveler details and ended with an attempt to charge excessive fees.
Lack of communication, lack of accountability, and very poor customer service.
Be careful, I strongly do not recommend this company.

its been 11 days and im still wating for the change of travelers. They dont confirm cant book another trip because of cancel fee. Not good.

One month waiting for a simple invoice

Booked a hotel through CHECK24 and paid online.
Had to wait more than one month for the invoice despite several calls and support promises. When the invoice finally arrived, it was incomplete and I had to request it again.

Very slow support, poor communication and unprofessional handling of a simple invoice request. Disappointing experience.

Financial loss and operational failure: A textbook case of bad business logic

I am writing this to bring a severe operational failure to the attention of other potential customers. What began as a simple tariff comparison has resulted in a €80 financial loss, the imminent risk of losing my mobile number, and the potential disruption of my daily communication—all due to broken automated processes and false support promises.

The issue started in the checkout interface, which allows customers to select an eSIM without disclosing a major technical limitation: Check24's digital identification system rejects valid European Union ID cards, demanding either a German ID or a passport.To salvage the contract, I contacted customer service. Your representative explicitly confirmed via email that they had already successfully changed my order from an eSIM to a physical SIM card to bypass this flawed verification process.
Relying on that definitive, written confirmation, I assumed the matter was securely resolved. Instead, it was an entirely false promise. Not only was the modification never actually executed, but my new contract got cancelled. Paradoxically, Check24 still managed to successfully push through the cancellation (Kündigung) of my existing provider, leaving me completely stranded.

When I brought this severe staff error to light, Check24’s response exposed a baffling lack of commercial sense. After an initial, insulting €10 offer, your department chose to waste a full working day of an employee’s paid labor to re-examine the case, only to increase the gesture to €20. Ironically, Check24 burned more corporate money in employee wages arguing over pennies than it would have cost to simply compensate the €80 damage your own system and staff caused.

For a market leader that generates massive annual revenue, the inability to deploy qualified professionals who understand basic tariff modifications is disappointing. I expect a senior representative to review the history of this order number and take accountability for the full financial damage caused by this oversight.

Disappointed. No refund since February 2026!

Up until now, my overall experience with Check24 has been completely positive, which makes this current situation incredibly disappointing. My flight to Lamezia Terme (Order ID: T4WH9LHM) was cancelled, and I have been waiting for my refund since FEBRUARY 2026.
In mid-April, I received a brief email stating that my case had been "escalated" to the airline (ITA Airways). Since then, there has been absolute radio silence. The customer support completely ignores my emails and follow-ups.
To make matters worse, Klarna has now reactivated the payment demand, meaning I am being forced to pay for a service I never received, while Check24 and BERlogic evade their responsibility. Furthermore, my booking cannot even be found on the airline's website anymore!
I used to trust this service, but this situation is deeply frustrating. I publicly demand that Check24 step in, review my case immediately, and process my refund! If I do not receive a proper response within the next few days, I will officially escalate this matter to the German Arbitration Board for Public Transport (söp) and the Federal Aviation Office (Luftfahrt-Bundesamt).

Check24 meiden wie alle Vergleichportals

After multiple telephone calls with Ms. Kraft from the car rental Department of Check24, I can with Full conviction recommend that You DO NOT book anything through Check24!
Last November I booked a car through C24 to be picked up at Rome Fiumicino on June 17th, 2026. I stated 18:00hrs as the expected pickup time. In actual fact we only reached the office of RENT4U at 20.00hrs owing to delays. We found an empty, locked office. A phone call said, you didn’t arrive at 18:00hrs so the rental contract was annulled. The voucher, we had in hand, stated office open till 22:00 hrs. This was obviously not the case. We thus had to rent a car on the spur of the moment for just under €900.
Neither Rent4U or C24 accept responsibility for the damage. Nowhere had C24 pointed out to me IN ADVANCE that the time stated (18:00hrs) was contractually binding. Conclusion: do not book anything through comparison portals! They make money but don’t take responsibility for their mistakes or their insufficient customer service.

Im vergangenen November buchte ich über C24 einen Mietwagen zur Abholung am 17. Juni 2026 am Flughafen Rom-Fiumicino. Als voraussichtliche Abholzeit gab ich 18:00 Uhr an. Tatsächlich erreichten wir das Büro von RENT4U aufgrund von Verspätungen erst um 20:00 Uhr. Wir fanden ein leeres, verschlossenes Büro vor. Auf unseren Anruf hin erhielten wir die Auskunft: Da wir nicht um 18:00 Uhr erschienen seien, sei der Mietvertrag storniert worden. Auf dem Voucher, den wir in der Hand hielten, war jedoch vermerkt, dass das Büro bis 22:00 Uhr geöffnet sei. Dies war offensichtlich nicht der Fall. Wir mussten daraufhin spontan einen Ersatzwagen für knapp 900 € anmieten.
Weder Rent4U noch C24 übernehmen die Verantwortung für den entstandenen Schaden. Nirgendwo hatte mich C24 VORAB darauf hingewiesen, dass die angegebene Uhrzeit (18:00 Uhr) vertraglich bindend sei. Fazit: Buchen Sie nichts über Vergleichsportale! Sie verdienen zwar Geld, übernehmen aber keinerlei Verantwortung für ihre eigenen Fehler oder ihren mangelhaften Kundenservice.

Car rental asked me for an international license certificate, check24 didnt let me know and didnt made refund on what I paid.

Car rental (Goldcar) asked me for an international license as they were not accepting my australian driving license, so I couldnt pick up the car.
Check24 didnt let me know about this thing about the international driving license.
I paid on the reservation for an insurance and reservation services, and check24 didnt make me a refund on it. I tried to contact the number.
Then I had to rent another car on another company so It was 3x more expensive.

Warning about Stayforlong and CHECK24.

On May 19, I was informed that my original hotel booking was unavailable due to overbooking.

Although I clearly stated from the very beginning that I did NOT want an alternative hotel, one was still offered to me anyway. The problem is that I originally booked a hotel worth around €1500, while the alternative hotel offered was only worth around €550 and was nowhere near comparable in quality.

From day one, I clearly requested a full refund and stated that I do not accept the alternative hotel.

Since then, I have been continuously ignored and delayed:

* daily emails,
* Instagram messages,
* multiple phone calls with customer service.

Every single time, I receive the same response:
“Please be patient.”

No. I am not obligated to accept a hotel that I never wanted and that does not match my original booking.

To this day, I still have not received any official confirmation regarding my refund.

I demand:

* a full refund of my money,
* an official cancellation confirmation,
* and a proper solution instead of automated responses and endless delays.

All emails, screenshots, and communication records have been documented.
