DO NOT HIRE
We were experiencing a strong burnt wood smell throughout the house. We hired Chimney Solutions of Marietta to come out and inspect and clean our chimney. Afterwards the smell was still permeating all over. They then said the inside of the chimney would need to be resurfaced and if that didn't work, we would need to have the outside of the chimney re-mortared to ensure it was sealed properly to create proper air flow. We took them at their word and paid them to inspect, clean, then work the flue, then re-motar the outside chimney and repaint the chimney. After spending more than $8k it still was causing my family to have headaches. We have to open our patio doors and set up a fan to clear the heavy smell. I called Chimney Solutions again to ask them to come out and evaluate our current situation, and offer suggestions for next steps, because what they had done up to that point, and the money spent to resolve the condition, clearly didn't work. I was told that they would not come out for free. They told me I had to pay them to for a "cleaning and inspection". For $8,000 that I already gave them, I felt like this was a fair request. The representative from Chimney Solutions said she would present this request t management, and someone would contact me. Guess what? Crickets...
