Had my photoshoot in hull today. Loved it was made to feel welcome. The teams was lovely. I was very nervous enjoyed it.

When Maggie called me to confirm my appointment and I told her about my concept of a photoshoot designed to help me trough a difficult part of my life, she was absolutely understanding, professional, she gave me all the information I needed, and the studio was straight open for my unconventional idea.

On the day of the shoot I arrived nervous, but it took the team about 3 minutes to make me feel comfortable and before I knew I was already in the hand of a professional makeup artist who was ready to call into life all of my extraordinary ideas. I found myself opening up about my difficulties (what made me decide to go there at the first place) as we've been friends forever. She got me really relaxed.

Next thing I know, I was posing, feeling like a pro and not even being embarassed about my perfectly imperfect naked body for an extravagant young photographer whose vision, professionalism and calming nature long exceeded my expectations.

After getting dressed, it didn't take long until an other lady finished the touching up of my photos. She knew what she was doing as I haven’t seen anything left on them what I would've edited out or would've changed.

The final stage was when I was shown all the pictures and I could choose the ones I wanted to keep. A lovely good looking guy helped me trough the process and explained all the packages I could choose from. He was very approachable and reassuring throughout the whole experience.

Everybody was amazing, I didn’t think I would but actually I had a lot of fun.
Some of the lovely pictures are already serving their purpose on my wall and the rest I am going to print and get them orginized into a photobook.

I had a lovely experience with Chique photography & Makeover Studios baised in Hull all the staff where friendly and made sure we was looked after, I would like to thank Maggie for booking my appointment.

I had an amazing experience and everything was explained to me prior to my appointment by Maggi. I was made to feel confident even my husband enjoyed the day. The photos are perfect and show myself and my husband as we really are, having a laugh. I would recommend the boudoir experience too as my confidence was boosted by how the pictures made me look amazing. All in all a truly wonderful experience.

Overall, I had a positive experience with Chique Photography. I was given a voucher from a friend for a reduced deposit for a shoot. I went and had a blast with the Chique Sheffield team (special thanks to Sarah, Emma, Liam and Heather, as well as Natalie for booking it!) . The only drawback I would mention is the lack of clear pricing. During the show of the pictures there was pressure to buy a package deal. I wasn't told the final prices of each package, and it required some needling to find out the base price. Can recommend overall but do come with a sense of what you want pricewise.

I had a makeover and photoshoot with my best friend at Chique Photography in Leeds. The experience was throughly enjoyable. Both me and my friend were extremely happy with our makeup and hair and we had a comfortable welcome to the studio. I was extremely pleased with the sheet they gave us to fill out on our preferences of hair, makeup, photos etc. We had lots of fun during the photoshoot and the photographer made us feel comfortable instantly. Katie Gibson (who organised it for us) was extremely helpful and professional also. However, the prices to purchase additional photos were more than we expected and were not too pleased with this. Even purchasing individual photos was way too overpriced. We thought the photos were excellent but it was a let down when we couldn’t purchase any photos with them being pricey. But overall enjoyed the experience.

Me and my sister came and had the best day! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, Amy did our hair and make up just how we wanted... Katie was extremely friendly and the best at helping me out, she sorted out our appointment and any questions I had she dealt with straight away. I would definitely recommend Chique Photography x

Absolute scam, do not fall for this facebook scam. My partner unfortunately fell to these deceitful scavengers. If they contact you in regards to a quote 'Facebook Competition' then please avoid at all costs. It will save you from being deceived by these low-life pieces of scum that inflict loans and debt on unsuspecting people. Absolute scumbags that use cheap products, unskilled equipment and very threatening. They also threaten legal action and bad credit scores for those who try to cross them, we will be contacting the police in due time

Amazing was very sky to start but felt at ease durin and the pics are amazing im defo goin there for all my photos the team was amazing from craig who booked me in and he showed me the viewing to the makeup and hair person victiria she was amazing to say what i went in like to wat i walked out like after a night shift and the photographer meg was amazing made me feel very comfy and confident doin the underwear pic and i think sian did a great job editing them x

Went to the Sheffield studio today feeling very nervous. Was totally felt at ease and loved being pampered. Charlie the photographer was amazing and took some amazing pictures and made me feel so good. Thank you

I’m really unhappy with the service I received for this extortionate amount of money, the hair and makeup were done by the same person, not different stylists or staff as suggested in the booking email- cheap brands were used like maybelline and a tacky, cheap lipstick palette. My hairstyle was done too quickly and was not of a high standard.

I would have expected a range of middle to high end brands like Morphe, ELF, Urban decay, Estée Lauder, Bobbi brown to have been used. I also was expecting to see different stylists for the shoot which didn’t happen, there was only 1 photographer however the problem was the lack of direction and lack of quality makeup. The ‘team’ consisted of 3 staff in total which were the only ones present on the day.

The entire situation felt more like a very basic photography editing office instead of a makeover studio which is what Chique markets itself as, claiming they are a professional studio. This is false advertising since there is nothing professional or high-end about them.

I felt very pressured to write a tripadvisor review before I had even gone into the separate office to view my pictures, there was no pricing advertised anywhere and even when I was on the phone to Katie from
Chique, I asked what the pricing was for the packages and was simply told “it depends on what you want” and wouldn’t give me a definitive answer.

The booking email states that there is 1 free picture and any additional pictures are chargeable but also states that you will be able to purchase photographs on the day. This is a flat out lie and not as advertised due to the fact that it states the wording of ‘packages’- the reality of this however is that you do NOT receive any physical prints, they let you have 1 maybe 2 when you say the words “I can’t afford this”- despite knowing this information and knowing that I’m an unemployed student, they preyed on my vulnerabilities and I was taken into an office (where there was no pricing list advertised anywhere) to view my pictures and be pressured into a decision.

The fact that the photos and copyright were given to me on a CD, renders them obsolete since most laptops have spaces for USB drives and not for CDs- which is old-fashioned and has made me feel cheated since I cannot access the photos of which I am the owner and have the copyright to. Nowhere on the email does it state that you are only entitled to a CD of pictures and not additional pictures- so this is a service which I was mis-sold.

When all of this was complete, I was then taken outside (to another desk) to be on the other side of the laptop where (I have no idea why?) all my financial and personal information was taken- and I had no idea a contract was being drawn out. I was just encouraged to sign! The whole experience was tacky, old fashioned and had the makings of scam.

I am now tied into a legally binding contract where I have taken out a loan to pay Chique and I had no idea this is what was being drawn up! I owe them £53.55 for ten months which does NOT match up with someone else in the same time frame of me who also purchased a 20 picture package, getting theirs for £45 a month! I only originally went since I won a competition but now I feel absolutely robbed.

I will be seeking advice from the citizens advice bureau, seeking legal advice and I am willing to take further action in a small claims court to pursue that.

Ok here goes...
Me and my partner went to have our shoot at the hull studio on 5th Sept 2020...when we arrived we had a lovely greeting from 1 of the members of staff and she gave us a drink...an hour and a half later, after us having to ask, I was sent through to hair and make up...yeah...this wasn’t all I expected...after saying I like loose beach waves I was given tight curls that made my hair look ridiculous due to the length, but, and I know it’s my mistake, I kept my mouth shut as she was obviously stressed and kept constantly checking her watch...she then done my make up!! It was nothing at all that I asked for (you get given choices at the start that you prefer for hair and make up) The colours were lovely, that’s it...the blending was non existent, I mean the lines going across my eyes were ridiculous and the rest was thrown on my face! It honestly looked like my 5 year old step daughter had done it!! The constant time checking made things tense and uncomfortable and I got about 5 sentences out of her the whole time I was in there and we also had the added bonus of hearing her moaning in front of the clients that she doesn’t have time for anything including a cuppa because she’s got so much to do!! Once she told me my make up was done (she had to tell me because I didn’t think it was anywhere near finished but again I stupidly didn’t say anything) I went through and waited with my boyf for our shoot...
That was the best...the photographer was brilliant (I can’t remember her name, I’m so sorry) but she was fab, made it all about us, listened to what we wanted, blow smoke up our backsides and made it fantastic even for the boyf who HATES his pic being taken!! We genuinely couldn’t of asked for better!!
The viewing was ok...the quality of the pics is fantastic...the prices of the pics is a whole other story...Jesus, be ready to remortgage your house if you get a package deal...we got 1 of the “cheaper” deals and it ain’t cheap!! This is my own personal opinion and view...if you go you may have a different experience completely but my own personal view is I wouldn’t go back there again for any kind of shoot...I’d happily have the photographer doing a shoot again but absolutely nothing else!! The 3 stars are for the photographer I can’t praise her enough...it’s just a shame the rest doesn’t match how she was!!
