Deeply disappointed — a warning to anyone seeking compassionate care
I came to CityDoctors hoping for understanding and continuity of care while establishing myself in Denmark. Although one of the physicians initially agreed to take on my case, the clinic abruptly reversed course without warning, leaving me without the treatment plan that had already been discussed and approved.
There was no communication, no bridging plan, and no referral to another provider who could continue care. When I reached out for clarification, I was instead met with dismissive and judgmental responses, including remarks that effectively blamed me for my situation rather than offering solutions or compassion.
For any patient — especially those new to Denmark and navigating an unfamiliar healthcare system — this kind of behavior is unacceptable.
Blaming patients, withdrawing agreed-upon care without explanation, and failing to provide continuity or alternatives are all serious breaches of basic professional and ethical responsibility.
Having worked within healthcare myself, I was shocked by the lack of empathy and accountability shown. It left me feeling disregarded and unsafe.
There are many excellent and humane clinicians in Denmark, but based on my experience, this clinic does not appear to uphold those standards.
I would strongly advise others to seek care elsewhere.
