Call Centre appears to be centralised and were very unprofessional.
Quoted £250 for diagnostic check and told it was VW pricing.
Spoke to VW HQ and advised franchises make their own pricing.
Real shame as HW Branch are really good, but there is no contact number to phone them direct.
The manager I asked to speak to, it would appear was someone pretending, and never called me back.

I can’t fault the service or the engineers report, but, I just wished they would answer the phone when you call.

Realised latish Friday afternoon when I was out air con was hot rather than cold, drove straight to garage, Raj tested air con, he agreed it wasn’t working. He said I’d have to book car in. I was dismayed, told him I was due in Manchester following day for a special 80th birthday party. He then suggested I take car in 8am following day, (Saturday morning,) to see if it could be repaired reasonably quickly, it was, faulty valves apparently, two hours later I was on the road again. I was so grateful to Raj for rescuing a very difficult situation for me.

City gate Slough very scummy, con artist central!! Don't buy from here... False Advertising scum save you money. The west London branch is so much better just go there.

City gate at Chalfont VW were excellent in all regards, even to the point of Pointing Out certain Procedures that my Car needed which Ruislip VW had not. Very impressed, might I also add replacement cars are available if my car is in workshop. Thank you!

I had an appointment at Citygate Watford to investigate a yellow light sign. My advisor was Raj. He greeted me, explained how long the car would be in the workshop, took me to my courtesy car, advised when he would give me a call. I had courtesy, respect, efficiency and service with a smile.

VW drivers for decades and West London based for the last three, Citigate (and its former self) has been our go-to service, MOT, reseller and source of help and advice throughout. Whilst an updated and thoroughly efficient 'machine' in 2026, every engagement has always been - and remains - personable, with just the right amount of contact and a customer-first ethic. Highly recommended.

Absolutely awful services. It seems there is no one behind the phone for booking repairs. I have been trying for days and all I get is a message.
I will never buy anything from Citygate / Seat again.
Furthermore, when it is time to sell an insurance on painting I was told is was an easyJet thing to do. Well, this is the complete opposite of my experience. I have been trying to get things done since April and so far have not managed. The requirements are not explicit: you have to take a picture of the car CLEAN,DRY, without REFLECTION from a distance of 1.5 metre (which I do have have), to be able to hold a ruler near the damage and take a picture at the same time with no reflection. This may be easy for some people but it is not for me. Once approved, it is expected that the work will be done on your home and for that you must have a clearance of 3 metres which again I do not have.
It is awful!

I was very satisfied with the repairs made to my car and was grateful that the garage completed the diagnosis and repairs within a couple of days after it was towed in by RAC. Was kept well informed by the garage throughout.

I have been coming to the Colindale Citygate service branch for ten years to service my car.
All the service staff have been great from the team that greet you in the morning to the mechanics and the team washing my car. Always happy to take my car to Citygate knowing that they will all do a professional job.
I wanted to thank Tosana who managed my car service and mot. She has previously managed my car service and mot and she was great this time. Always polite and providing excellent customer service. She always goes above and beyond and always with a smile. I also wanted to thank Pedro as he is a legend and always provides great customer service. I went to pick up my car the next morning and received great service. They all have time for you as a customer which is really nice to see.
