Our guide, Julie expertly guided us through Guèll Park in Barcelona. She was lively, informative, and so patient with our questions. She truly personalized our experience and brought the experience to life. Julie is top notch! Thank you!

We were on the coliseum, Palentine tour with PG yesterday. He had knowledge but did not once in 3+ hours stop to ask if any of us had questions. We also had no breaks whatsoever. It would have been appropriate to have at least 15 minutes for a comfort break or to visit the gift shops on the site. Guiding a tour from a 3 ring binder is not the best approach to use.

We booked because of a very promising ad&recommandations on Booking.com;describing full rich day in Mont St Michel of guided tours and food/eating (even at restaurant). We thought it was overselling it and discovered since then there was cheaper way to get there and with possibility to visit longer. We travelled all day in bus for in fact just actual 3 hours visit (mostly by ourselves): not enough time for this stunning and memorablble monument. And no time to eat to the contrary of what the ad said. (Rest/stop times during bus journeys back and fro, were innacurate; no food near the starting point for the return). Maja and Lawrence spoke very little about Mont st Michel compared to/in proportion of other subjects (where they were passionating and richly informed and generous in their sharing).

Me and my boyfriend did the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel & St Peter's Basilica tour on Saturday with Cosimu and it was AMAZING! Cosimu started off the tour by being so friendly and full of life! The tour was so detailed and informative and that is all thanks to Cosimu's complete professionalism. I couldn't recommend him enough! Anyone who gets the pleasure of having him as a tour guide will enjoy every second

We had a train scheduled that we missed, tried working with them, paid extra for rescheduling they confirmed all was good and next day we would be able to travel, out of the blue they canceled, creating issues with our itinerary. Me request full reimbursement due to failed expectations.....still waiting on them

Our tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill was sensational! Maria Louisa brought each destination to life. Her expert knowledge, enthusiasm and pictures of the areas and the gladiators gave the experience great depth. It was an experience of a lifetime!

We were told our expensive private tour would include the stops we wanted in Rome. The Guide was rude and unprofessional. This was a trip of a lifetime and we did not get into St Peter's Basilica. The guide also was late and left earlier than agreed upon time

Very unhappy with this company! Our visit to the Vatican & Sistine chapel was cancelled due to the Royal visit. I completely understand the reason to close it for security reasons but we only
booked a week before when the companies would have known about it but still took £60 per ticket , we had two = £120 we were not emailed or text to let us know it was cancelled but found out when we arrived! 5% refund has been offered =£6 for the two !! There was no guide anyway & the so called audio tour is an App that you have to download ( if you have a suitable phone ) which then drains all your battery & bears no relation to what you’re looking at 🤷‍♀️

We joined a morning tour with City Wonders and arrived on time at the meeting point, but the whole experience was a disaster.
The address they provided was wrong, and the guide was nowhere to be seen — standing in a dark corner before sunrise instead of being visible to guests. We called for help but no one answered, so in desperation we texted them while standing in the middle of a dark, busy crossing. Only after that did we get a reply, but by then it was too late to find the bus.
As first-time visitors, we tried our best to follow instructions, but there was no clear direction or timely support. Instead of taking responsibility, City Wonders blamed us and asked for €25 per person to rebook at a date that we already left Paris and refused to refund.
For a tour costing €250, this level of service is unacceptable. It wasted our time, travel cost, and ruined an entire day in Paris.
I strongly advise others to avoid City Wonders if you expect professional and reliable service.

Paid £308 for the Vatican tour and it was daylight robbery. DO NOT DO THIS YOUR. We literally did nothing for the first two hours. You can do it yourself for much cheaper and more enjoyable. Half our tour got very frustrated and left the group. I have contacted them and it has been radio silence.

We did the tour of the colosseum the next day. This was hang the price and much better. Do not do the tour if the Vatican. It’s a broken promise. The only thing we did was enter the museum, which you can do for a fraction of the cost.

We booked a tour of the Roman Forum and Colosseum for two people and had a terrible experience. We called the company ten minutes before the tour to let them know we would be just three minutes late due to exceptional issue. The representative told us there was no guarantee the group would wait. We politely asked for the guide’s phone number so we could meet them along the way, but she refused. We then asked for our entry tickets (which we had already paid for) so we could enter on our own, and again she refused. She also wouldn’t allow a reschedule.

When we arrived, we searched everywhere and finally found a group of City Wonders guides. They handed us our tickets but still refused to contact the guide or help us locate the group. We spent almost two hours wandering around the Roman Forum before finally finding our guide—who, to our surprise, said he would have waited if someone had simply called him!

We paid around €150 just to run around looking for our tour guide. The complete lack of communication, flexibility, and basic customer service is shocking. Even free walking tours are better organized and more considerate toward their guests. Truly disappointing experience — do not book with this company.

Horrible experience. Didn't get to go. We went to the address provided on our booking and on the app and it led to the middle of nowhere. A local Uber driver confirmed the address as well. My little family of 5 was in the Uber just after 6 am. We couldn't find the meeting location. Messaged them with NO help. They had no compassion, did not wait, and refused to refund $726. The bus left at 7 am. I totally understand them needing to be prompt with so many other passengers, but this was not our fault. The address was incorrect. Their staff was very unhelpful and uncompassionate. That is a ridiculous amount of money wasted. We have used them before but never will again. To top it off, it was my teenagers birthday and this was his only request. TOTALLY let down.

We had a deeply frustrating experience with City Wonders that ruined a long-anticipated tour from Rome to Pompeii. Despite arriving early (6:42 AM) at Piazza del Popolo for our 7:15 AM tour, we were misdirected multiple times by disorganized staff. There were no signs, no clear instructions, and zero accountability.
After standing in three different lines—each one guided by City Wonders staff—we were finally told our bus had just left. We were initially placed in the wrong line, then pulled out and redirected again, only to end up in yet another incorrect queue. The staff member (a young woman from Naples with long blond hair) showed no empathy and was more focused on barking orders than offering help.

To be clear:
• We were there early.
• We followed their instructions.
• We have time-stamped photos, videos, and receipts.

Despite all of this, City Wonders refused a refund for a tour we technically showed up for—they simply failed to run it properly. We flew across 9 time zones for this experience. Their mismanagement cost us time, money, and a lifelong memory.
Do yourself a favor and book with a more reliable company. Even Viator, the middle man who we purchased through were of ZERO HELP. Terrible terrible experience we will remember forever.

We had a day tour to Pompeii, Positano and Amalfi last Thursday and our tour guide, Martina, and driver, Guilio, was nothing short of nice, helpful, knowledgeable and organised. We highly recommend City Wonders tour. Also, special shout to our tour guide in Pompeii, Enrico, it was the best tour we've ever had. Full of fun facts and humour. He was funny which made the tour more enjoyable under the scorching hot weather.

I had an amazing time today doing the Rome: Amalfi Coast & Positano Day Trip with Coastal Cruise experience. Marius was a great guide and truly contributed to the success of the experience. It is apparent he loves what he does and is very knowledgeable, sharing information about the sights we were seeing along the way. Additionally, managing a large group of people amongst the other tourist is far from easy but he did it gracefully and with a smile. He communicated clearly about what to expect, meeting points and time all while checking in with of us along the way. This made it possible to truly take in the experience and appreciate the beauty, making for a truly great time. I have been on many of these types of adventures/experiences and I have never had a guide so personable! Definitely recommend!

Today i eenjoyed my first experience of the Louvre with Tour Guide Florence. The Tour de France was on in the City so the Louvre wasn't to crowded.

We were a group from 6 different speakers languages, but that was no problem because we were all given a ear piece so we could hear Florence and her clear instructions and knowledge of the Artists.

Florence was able to keep the information exciting and simple. I cannot fault any part of my experience and I held onto every word she said.

I don't know what the other guides are like but I recommend you ask for Florence and please enjoy your stay in Paris

Rude staff..Veronica is very rude she gets upset when u ask her a question i wont recommend ppl to book city wonders..go somewhere else.

Had the most amazing guided trip to Pompeii today. It is our first time in Italy and Alberto made the experience 10/10. His whitty, funny and charming attitude and personality really made the trip run so smoothly. I highly recommend and will definitely be using this service again ✨

Beware! I would caution others about City Wonders CinqueTerre& Pisa day tour. The guide we had enforced an unofficial 10 euro fee for transportation from the parking lot to the gates at Pisa. She claimed it was mandatory despite the tour information saying you can walk. I assume this is a way for the guide to pocket extra money. It's not a great experience.
Besides ripping off guests the tour guild provided zero knowledge or history of the areas. She spent most of her time in a restaurant and failed to check on her group, despite the crowds of people.
This was by far the worst experience while vacationing in Italy.
Maybe look into other tour companies that are more transparent about their costs.

The tour went well from the start. We got to Giverny before the big crowds arrived giving time to walk the gardens relatively peacefully. Plenty of time to see everything. Versailles was next on the trip. Hectic as usual, again plenty of time given. Coach was a relief to get out of the hot sun for the trip home. Special mention to our guide Bruna, She went above and beyond to help us get back to our hotel after a long, hot day. We were staying in the 8th Arondissment and Bruna helped us with the correct train lines. She is a gem.
