My heart literally sank to my stomach

My heart literally sank to my stomach. It was a viral TikTok video showing off insane, life-changing crypto profits that initially hooked me. They actually sent me some initial crypto to test the waters, completely free of charge. I registered, followed their precise trading signals, made a decent profit, and even executed a successful test withdrawal. Pure greed took over. I poured every available cent I could borrow or beg into the platform, obsessively watching my supposed balance reach truly life-changing, multi-million dollar numbers. The moment I tried to cash out and walk away, they locked me completely out of the system. They demanded an exorbitant, arbitrary release fee. I paid it, thinking I was so close to my millions. Then came the second fee, and my stomach completely dropped. That was the exact moment it dawned on me that it was a massive con. I frantically explained everything to my credit provider, and he referred me to a specialized digital forensics firm (fiscop advisor), who immediately started tracing the complex movements of the ETH until it was sold on a decentralized mixer. The scammers' physical bank info was obtained, the ringleader was caught, and my ETH was miraculously reversed.

100% scammers

100% scammers I believe I was targeted by a recovery scam through ClaimsCheck.live. The company presented itself as a legitimate fund recovery service and claimed that money had been recovered and was available to me. However, I became concerned by the lack of independent verification, the use of information that appears to match a UK FCA-authorised firm, and requests for personal information through their website. The UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued a warning identifying Claims Check Live as a clone firm that is not authorised and is allegedly using the details of a legitimate regulated company.

The website also claims links to major law-enforcement recovery operations and recovered funds, but I was unable to verify these claims independently.

Before dealing with this company, I strongly recommend that people conduct their own research, verify regulatory status directly with official authorities, and never send money or sensitive documents based solely on promises of fund recovery.

This review reflects my personal experience and concerns.

A few facts you can mention if they match your experience:

The UK FCA published a warning on 9 June 2026 stating that Claims Check Live is a "clone firm" and is not authorised by the FCA.
The website uses the name and FCA reference number of a legitimate firm, according to the FCA warning.
Independent scam-checking services currently rate the site as very high risk and note phishing-related concerns.

If you tell me exactly what happened (for example, whether they asked for fees, ID documents, crypto wallet access, or additional payments), I can write a stronger review based on your specific experience.
