So classmates took $60.00 from my debit card , they said I renewed my subscription,something I knew nothing about. I am almost 80 years old,what do I want a subscription to classmates for. Many 15 years ago yes not now.So I ask them over the phone why they would take a disabled 100% on SS,RESULTS WHY NOT. Do not Renee.

I have used Classmates to stay in contact with friends through out the years, the problem arose when I attempted to submit a form in order to submit a yearbook to be scanned. There are many of us who have lost their yearbooks over the years. I called their customer service, stated someone would respond in 24 hrs. When no one had responded, I again called, this time someone would respond in 3 business days . One of the employees told me, they are a small company, yet receives hundreds of orders per day. Maybe they are over extended. Either way, we will take our business elsewhere.

What I have figured out, yes it's nice to look up old friends, but the way Classmates is set up, if you scroll through random people, it triggers a visit by you whether you knew them or not or whether you actually looked in to their profile. It gives a false impression people are looking you up.

I’ll admit, classmates.com was a somewhat useful tool when I was helping plan a high school reunion. You can send group emails to people from your class. But they spammed me constantly. “Someone has sent you a message! Open your inbox to see who!” only to find it’s a marketing message from them. And if you go in and look at the profile of anyone, you know, it spams them. “Someone viewed your profile!” So it’s a never-ending cycle.
My bigger complaint with them is their auto renew. DO NOT TURN IT ON! (I am 99% sure I turned it off before but it either flipped back on or I’m not remembering correctly.) Their renewal notices will go to your spam folder and if you miss their deadline by even 5 minutes, sorry, out of luck, no refund! I was just dinged with a $66 charge for one more year. But I’ve learned my lesson. Have set a reminder in my calendar for a week before the 2025 renewal to make sure the damn auto renew is still turned off and to notify them (again!) that I want to cancel. Save yourself! Don’t sign up!

Turned off auto renew but was charged twice, called in to complain person who answered lied to my face and told me I had auto renew on even though I checked it when I was charged. He was quite ready and anxious to tell this lie and let me know there are no refunds before I even asked. Criminal enterprise.

Never got a notice about auto renewed. Found out they billed me 96 dollars on Friday I called them today (Monday) only to find they won't refund that payment. I'm going to tell everyone to watch out for their deceptive billing.

Classmates tell me people are looking at me and it is a lie. They even wanted me to write to a student that was deceased over 30yrs ago.

Deceipful. I have been trying to remove my profile for 2 weeks their is no way to do it online and they keep sending canned responses that I can be a free member I just want my profile off their site and they will not remove it! Also they lost a 9.5 million dollar lawsuit see below

Really annoying. They keep sending emails saying someone viewed your profile or someone just sent you a message. When I go to look, which I do not do as much as I used it turns out it shows someone sent an email 3 months ago and that is the “new” email. Really annoying. It just seems like they want the clicks on the site. Avoid. I am about done with them. Every once in a while when they say someone sent you a message it is really a new message. Just seems like click bait to me now.

Scammed me out of my lifetime membership. Claim they never offered one but I used it for years, until suddenly as my 50th reunion approaches I can't log into my account and they claim there's no such thing as a lifetime membership. I bought it so many years ago I can't prove it and they have ripped me off.

They make it look so good sending you all these email before you join and make it look like you leave reviews on people profile when you don't want to ok you finally join. then they will hit you every year after that for 60 dollars you can't get your money back, I've tried to turn it off i hope i have. People beware.

SPEND 1 HR ON PC. TRYING TO CANCEL MEMBERSHIP AFTER UNAUTHORIZED CREDIT CARD CHARGE. NO PHONE NUMBERS, REVIEWS WOULD BE LESS THAN ONE, IF AVAILABLE.

Beware as this company sends no reminder that the automatic renewal is approaching and automatically renews at over 3x the original cost. Supervisor Crystal
in Washington would not pro rate or adjust the automatic charge. Not a user friendly company.

Was billed $96 for renewal. Called within an hour to cancel and was told it would cancel at the end of two years and no refund would be given. Was told I had been notified of renewal and price increase, however I have no record of this. There have been hundreds of complaints filed with The Better Business Bureau over these deceptive practices. Do your research and avoid this site.

They are a Scam and Fraudulant!! Uncooperative and Rude. I was charged $96.00 on 12/07/2023 without my approval. They said that they renew every 4 years and one must let them know after automatically doing so to cancel before the next auto charge. This is an out and out lie. Do not do business with this company they are not to be believed.

Classmates.com is a total waste of time and there is no way to get off their terrible constant spam emails. I signed up forever ago, when my high school class decided to try them. They send endless emails and I have one past employee that died years ago (after he left my company) and we can't even stop getting emails for him.

Rip off scam!!! Don’t do it!!

They are providing an avenue for members of the graduating class at my high school to stay updated on THOSE WHO PARTICIPATE AND ARE REGISTERED ON THE SITE.

My only complaint is that when one looks at the different high school yearbooks, the print is often too small to read--that's even for those of us who don't need reading glasses to see fine print accurately.
