Ghetto blaster 1986

Received this item off e-bay. The sound quality is amazing for its age. It was in the original box and delivered FREE. Fantastic value for money. I am considering purchasing another.
Oh and another thing, the product was in outstanding condition for its age. Some people want something for nothing it seems...

Bad experience at first but Director involvement resolved issue in full

Selling 1980's BOOMBOX GHETTO Blasters that are new but they fail within minutes of using . He then offers to replace them and refund your costs for the return postage. Sends replacements which fail the same way and then offers you a refund if you return (but at your cost). Once the items are received he refunds the purchase cost minus the refund he gave you for returning the item the first time . Total and utter dodgy seller. BUY OFF THIS SELLER AT YOU OWN RISK!
Sellers response is further lies. I still have the faulty replacement as he refused to accept it as a return. Instead, like I said in my main review he sent me 50% refund but deducted the cost of the postage refund he gave me for returning the first time. He is just sending out faulty returns hoping people will just accept them. They are degraded poor quality units. I also had to repeatedly remind him when i returned the faulty item the first time to send a replacement. Many promises and excuses and then arrives 2 weeks later. (replacement also dented, covered in scratches and minus mains lead). Strange how the recent positive reviews turn up just before seller responds !
The business owner has since contacted me about this issue and has resolved the matter in full as stated in the updated reply. I have to say the experience with the owner was first class and he has genuinely assured me measures have been put in place to make sure future customers have a first class experience. I have therefore upgraded my rating to reflect this. Everybody deserves a second chance.

The item in question is a genuine 1986 boombox ghetto blaster. The advert (still live now) does state that the box is suffering from nearly 30 years of storage but the item inside is new. We do open and check the basic functions to ensure they are working, re box and send. We also state that if a customer contacts us if there are any issues, we will be more than happy to help at no cost with refund, credit or replacement.

The initial chain of events were as follows:

31.07.15 - Customer purchased item for £29.99

05.08.15 - Customer contacted us by email to alert us to problem with tape deck

06.08.15 - Clearance Aisle agreed to take return, told customer to use Parcel2go and was refunded £5.79 to cover his costs

13.08.15 - Customer received replacement unit and informed us tape speed was fast and there was superficial damage to face plate

14.08.15 - Clearance Aisle offered for him to keep for 50% refund or return for full refund

19.08.15 - Clearance Aisle responded to further email offering for him to return but would not cover second lot of £5.79 postage

20.08.15 - Customer reported same issue but was willing to keep for £18.00 refund

24.08.15 - Clearance Aisle confirmed that £13.00 had been refunded as calculated at 50%

24.08.15 - Customer confirmed he was making paypal claim for balance of £2.00 he felt he was owed

Due to the customer’s obvious dissatisfaction of the outcome, we have revisited the purchase to ensure all was true and correct. Having taken some time to work all out, we confirm that he was indeed £2.00 short on his 50% refund. Here is the latest chain of events.

27.10.15 – Clearance Aisle contacted customer to confirm £2.00 had been overlooked and we had sent balance back to his account on. Apology email sent. As it was our mistake, we also included offer for him to return the unit at our cost and refund the remaining 50% in full.
