Paid £83 for what exactly, then they asked me to pay extra £15 for the certificate itself! Requested a FULL refund and they gave me ONLY £27.50p Avoid all cost. Better go to government website

I can see from another reviewer they were unknowingly charged a monthly premium subscription. This has happened to me. £8.99 has been charged to my bank account since September. I only received an invoice for this yesterday morning advising me of a pending charge for January. (No invoice for Sept-Dec)
I would appreciate this being looked into and refunded.
Many thanks

I spoke to Aakriti and he was very patient and he sent me a link and even gave me a phone number and the right buttons to press. Thanks to Aakriti my certificate issue has been resolved (I just had an incorrect number) . It is good that a member of the DBS team is so willing to help in a courteous way

This feels like a complete scam. You do not realise it when paying that you are signing up to an expensive subscription service. I believed I was being charged £12 and got charged £86! I only hope this is a mistake and will change my review to a 5 star if this gets solved swiftly.
Utterly disappointed.

If I could rate zero stars then I would, biggest scammers I’ve ever come across.
You authorise a payment for a certain amount for them to take a heavily inflated amount from your bank. How a company this size is trading in this way is crazy, the fact they don’t have a phone line to ring up says a lot in my opinion.
I authorised a £22 payment through apple pay for them to somehow take £101.50 out of my bank for a basic dbs check. Something I gained through the gov.uk website for £21.50 in a matter of a couple of hours.
They stated that it clearly says the amount you would pay on the website. But, how would I authorise a £22 payment through Apple Pay to then have £101.50 taken. How can a company even do this? If the Apple Pay amount was £101.50 the I wouldn’t of authorised this
Stay as far as you can away from them as when I asked for a refund in full they thought they could refund me £27.50 and to make matters worse after this they offered me another £16 back as a ‘gesture of goodwill’ leaving me around £60 out of pocket. £60 to gain what, nothing but a terrible experience!
Stay as far away as you possibly can

I wanted to update a DBS which should have been simple. This option was not available, so had to reapply from scratch which in my opinion is ridiculous as my account was still active. After using a company called verify which online which is linked to clear check ( account also still active) I had to pay once again for documents already previously seen. The process was horrendous. The pdf certificate to confirm my identity/documents then would not upload due to being to big.
Allen from verify online provided a different option, which involved me getting a non spouse/relative to confirm they had seen my documents. I was then sent the certificate to upload.
This proved to be impossible until I paid the extra £15.00 fast track option, which is mandatory, not an option to upload the documents.
I'm now £100+ in to this process to UPDATE something I already had. To say I'm furious is an understatement. Last year, I found I was signed up to a monthly subscription for both companies for services I neither requested or wanted. This also took some sorting out.
You should be ashamed of yourselves clear check & verify online.. at least Turpin wore a mask.
YES I EXPECT A RESPONSE.
UPDATE..
My account has now been " downgraded" no one has been in touch regarding anything else & I've not been offered a refund for the FORCED reapplication of something that should have been a simple update.
Both sites for this company are impossible to navigate. A basic DBS is supposed to be minimal cost... I've now paid more than the cost of a fully enhanced disclosure.
The charge for documentation validation beggars belief as I had to get someone to validate my documents in person.
I've then had to submit even more documentation to prove that I am. Surely photographic evidence, confirmation of address & birth/marriage certificate is enough.
I EXPECT YET ANOTHER RESPONSE TO ORGANISE A REFUND OF THE UNWARRANTED COSTS INCURRED TO ME.

£101 for a £15 DBS check and then they want you to spend more money to confirm who you are with another app so how can you justify that
