Clipto is a scam

Clipto is a scam. Do not sign up for this. They make it very difficult to cancel. They bill you every month with no receipt that comes in email, no email at all. When you go to cancel, it appears that you have but then they ask you questions and you actually have to scroll down and hit cancel again. They are set up to scam. Just google "Clipto scam" and you will see all the complaints.

Clipto AI is an excellent tool for…

Clipto AI is an excellent tool for converting audio files into text. The platform is very easy to use, and the transcriptions are highly accurate, even when multiple people are speaking. It saves me a lot of time compared to transcribing manually, and the results are delivered quickly. I am especially impressed by the speed and quality of the transcription. I would highly recommend Clipto AI to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient speech-to-text solution.

Extremely disappointed with my experience.

I signed up to try the service and only used it during the initial trial. Like many people managing work, finances, travel, and everyday responsibilities, I genuinely forgot that the subscription was set to auto-renew. I only discovered the recurring charges recently and immediately cancelled the subscription.

I contacted customer support, explained the situation honestly, and requested a refund for the months during which I did not actively use the platform. Instead of showing any flexibility or understanding, I received a generic response referring me back to their terms and conditions and informing me that no refund would be provided.

Yes, the charges may be covered by the subscription agreement, but customer service is about more than simply quoting policies. Many reputable subscription services understand that people sometimes forget to cancel and will offer a goodwill refund, especially when there has been little or no usage of the service. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

What frustrates me most is that I was transparent from the beginning. I admitted that I forgot to cancel, explained that I had been travelling and was not monitoring my account, and asked for reasonable assistance. The response felt completely inflexible and customer-unfriendly.

If you decide to sign up, be extremely careful and make sure you cancel immediately if you do not plan to continue. Otherwise, you may find yourself paying for months you never intended to use, with little chance of receiving any consideration afterward.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service.
