Just got charged £32 for a 7 minute cab journey from Godalming Train Station to Royal Surrey Hospital at 11am.

There was no traffic.

I asked for a receipt and the driver wouldn’t give me one. He said the HQ would send me one via phone - nothing received.

When I called up to query why the fare was so high, I was shouted at that I should have asked the driver when I got in.

Yes - there’s a lesson there for me; but since I was going to the hospital for an emergency I didn’t.

Anyway - apart from the extortionate price, I would seriously question the way this company treats customers. A kind explanation (e.g. “we charge £X per mile, I’m sorry that it seems like a lot, we hope your relative is ok at the hospital”) would have gone a long way rather than denying my request for a receipt and shouting at me.

Never again.

I booked a car two days in advance for a hospital appointment and it did not arrive. After several phone calls, one of which they said they would send someone from a different company, which also never turned up, I was too late for my hospital appointment so I have had to book another appointment in which I will not be using Clocktower cars.

Do not use them! My driver never arrived at Stansted Airport. I was stranded 1,5h away from my home in the middle of the night. Not first time something like this has happened. Bad on me for giving them a second chance.

I just want to make all women aware that these drivers are disrespectful against young women. I have used these cabs for years but in the last 4 months I have experienced extremely inappropriate behaviour, very rude comments and very sexist. Speaking on the phone in different languages whilst driving, disgraceful behaviour I do not feel safe using these cars. Need deporting!

Awful cab service - they have the cheek to charge for lateness yet are always late. Drivers are rude and have no clue where they are going most of the time. Over priced and a useless cab service. I would not recommend at all.

I have used this cab firm for over a decade and have nothing more than praise for the service we have had.

Please please don’t use this company for booking journeys that require you to be on time. I booked a journey using the app three weeks in advance for a 0630 departure. I rang and checked the booking on the night before m. In the day the taxi arrived at 0639. This really isn’t good enough. Taxis have to be punctual. Mini cab firms are under threat from Uber and other apps, In order to survive they will only do so based on reputation and service. Customers will pay more if the service is excellent (taxis turn up in time). However, Clocktower Cars is not providing a good service. The fact that they don’t respond to constructive feedback illustrates the company no longer cares for its customers. TrustPilot has also flagged the company. Be careful if booking for journeys when you have to be on time.

Avoid. The App gave a completely wrong postcode for my destination and the agreed fare was almost doubled by the cab office during my journey. Clocktower have refused to refund the difference or correct their App. Have reported to Trading Standards.

I had a cab booked for 6:05am today in Epsom, but it never turned up. I had to call and chase or nothing would have happened, now I’m late.

My wife booked a cab at 7.30am to be picked up at 9am to go to a hospital appointment at Epsom hospital, we live a few miles away in tadworth but it was raining hard so that's why she booked a cab.we used clocktower cars in Epsom a few weeks ago and the cab arrived 15 miss late,which wasn't the end of the world. The hospital appointment was for 9.30am..at 9.10am my wife rang the clock tower cars office to see where the cab was,the assistant said it's hard to get a cab during school run times..if this is the case then don't say you can do it and take the booking..it's not hard is it. Poor management. The cab eventually arrived at 9.35 am ..the hospital appointment was 9.30am, she got to the hospital at 10am. I rang the office that morning to complain and see what they had to say and the assistant said I will get the manager to call you..I left him my number..guess what..no one has called me..surprise. it's not worth waisting my time chasing them up over this,but it just shows how they can't even get the basics right, and that is their business. It probably doesn't matter to them if they loose one customer, terrible service, terrible management, keep in the back of your mind you have a good chance of being late for where you are trying to get to using clocktower cars Epsom.. good luck..you will need it.

27th January 26 at 7am it was raining really heavy and windy so I booked a taxi for 9.00am to go to epsom hospital and requested for them to try and be on time as this was yet again the second medical appointment I had in a fortnight! At 9.05 when I rang they just said that it is difficult to get a cab in school run hrs ! Eventually my taxi got to me at my hospital appointment time at 9.35 and I arrived at my destination at 10am . Letting my husband know of this he actually rang the company himself and he was told that the manager will get back to him ! We are still waiting ! Disgusting considering this is the second time in two weeks that ive been let down !

Made us wait a whole ass hour for a taxi up to college and we were late by like half an hour. Also charged us a whole lot of money EACH. Instead of us having a normal 4 seater booked, they booked a 6 seater and added an extra person to our car which increased the time by a whole lot. Bun dis company, never use them please 🙏.

Booked a taxi through the app at about 6 in the evening for a car to collect us at 7.20am, I hadn’t heard in the morning so after giving them a quick call, the lady said “your get a text message thank you bye” waiting for a message I get a call it’s 7.11 “sorry we can’t get your car to you until 8.15” at this point I’m like your joking me no warning, completely unreliable and I’m now going to be late for my trip! Customer service was absolutely shocking too. I wouldn’t bother booking if your trip is urgent!

Pickup for trip to T5 Heathrow was on time and journey completed in good time. Helpful driver accepted credit card payment. Car not the cleanest we have used.
Return journey the driver wanted cash. Unlike the previous driver a surcharge was requested for a credit card payment. Thought this was illegal now. Also pickup for journey home driver requested us to go the third floor of the T5 car rather than the first floor taxi pickup point where we were waiting and normally use. No explanation given.

Very unreliable service. You will book for a certain time and they won’t arrive until an hour after the time. You contact them and they give you flimsy excuses over the phone. DO NOT BOOK THEM.

Same experience as others booked car well in advance then 10 mins before get a call to saying they are very busy, and are delayed 15 mins. Had to ask a neighbour to drop us at the train stn. Not the first time they have done this either 🤷‍♂️

Two times in consecutive attempts to use this lot I have missed my train due to them either no showing or being very late, despite leaving a large margin for possible traffic or other issues. I would rather walk than give this lot any more business
