Very helpful in getting my finances…
Very helpful in getting my finances sorted for my daughter to start her courses.
Have had way better experiences
The layout of the actual lessons are fine (doing a level maths). However as an auditory learner I found there were not enough videos and too much written explanations. Thankfully the tutors respond exceptionally quickly often within 20mins-1hr and have been as helpful as possible. I would also prefer if each topic had more active recall material instead of short activities midway and a 10 question quiz at the end but that is my personal preference.
One last problem is sometimes words are missing from the explanations which makes it necessary to try to infer the original sentence and therefore makes it harder to understand the explanation as you don't know how much you're missing.
Edit: initially I said 3 stars but while trying to do a quiz I saw a 'typo' and thought the question made sense but later after asking an a level graduate for help I was told there was no typo in the question and that I had not been taught the info to answer the question. Cloudlearn is not an ideal value for money.
Great customer service via email
A few issues signing up but mainly with the payment platform not actually Cloud Learn.
Any questions or issues were rectified promptly via email.
Great customer service. Thank you
Super
Absolutely , excellent customer service and advice. Extremely happy to recommend.
Brilliant
Our daughter didn't have great experience in mainstream school and we looked to home-school this was in Year 9 we used a platform before cloud learn that was not great.
Speaking with Laurie at Cloud Learn who helped us as parents that was taking a huge leap into the unknown, she made the experience so good from initial set up, support and financing the courses, materials and exams. She's been very patient with us and super helpful. 100% recommend cloud learn to parents that are considering home school. My daughter is now in what would be in YR11 is now thriving thanks to Laurie and the team at Cloud Learn.

I bought the A Level Edexcel English…
I bought the A Level Edexcel English Literature course, I really enjoyed the prose and drama texts from A Streetcar Named Desire, Hamlet, Frankenstein and Never Let me Go. The poetry was fine, and the coursework texts were fun, they were Wuthering Heights and The Bloody Chamber. I got my results today and it was an A! I'm glad, especially since it was about 5 and a half months in all I spent learning everything. They don't recommend doing it in that time crunch but I think if you you can make it work, go for it. I started in December with their black friday £100 off sale and decided to just go for it, and finished in May, and it paid off. I just wanted to thank the Cloud Learn team. The lessons all had quite nice designs, with themes, meanings and close text analysis quite useful for mocks and the real exams. I would recommend - Matilda Hector.
Very Isolating Experience
I joined to do a Sociology GCSE, the interface is good to use - but you do get the feeling there is nobody else there.
There's a little forum where other students are encouraged to interact - but there had been no activity for the last couple of years - apart from Josh the tutor seemingly shouting into a void.
I posted in here a few of times - and did get a couple of interactions - but it give the impression that you were very much on your own.
I paid extra for the paper text book, as (being a bit older) I find it tricky to do all my studying from a screen. But the book doesn't match the course, and the tutor doesn't seem to have access to the book at all, so in the end I had to stop using it.
As mentioned by other reviewers, there are errors on the online course, incorrect links etc.
The tests that are set at the end of each sector are incredibly nuanced and a little confusing - and if there had been other people to talk to in the forums - I may have got the hang of them. But I found myself making a lot of mistakes... at no point did the tutor mail me to check that I was OK. He did reply if I mailed him - but it was a very one way journey.
I eventually surmised that this course wasn't for me, and just stopped participating. I didn't expect anyone to check on me, and see if they could do anything to help. And they didn't.
If you enjoy working in a vacuum with no interaction - then this course will very much suit you. But if you are someone that enjoys bouncing ideas off other people and discussing elements of the course in order to gain a deeper understanding - I would look somewhere else.

Supportive Student Advisor at Cloudlearn
Keli Gibson (Student Advisor) has genuinely been supportive and understanding in my daughters Cloudlearn studies. My daughter has had many setbacks in relation to her studies due to her chronic illnesses and personal issues. Keli responds quickly to emails and finds the best solutions to our problems. My daughter is finally going to be able to sit her IGCSE's this year. Thank you Keli.
I had a great experience with…
I had a great experience with CloudLearn. The team, including Niamh, Katie, and Laurie-Alysia, provided excellent support during enrollment and setup. They're quick, helpful, and made the process of choosing courses and navigating the system easy. The psychology course has been engaging and informative. I highly recommend CloudLearn for anyone considering online learning!
Great service
Laurie was very helpful in the process of setting up my daughter to cloud learn. Very quick to respobd to my questions. Great experience so far!
IGCSE Geography course
I contacted Cloudlearn to get my daughter an online Geography IGCSE course. I dealt with Niamh who was very friendly, polite, professional and informative. I was panicking due to the nearing deadline of booking the exam but Niamh put me at ease. Unfortunately the exam centre was over subscribed for the summer exams and Niamh informed me immediately of my options. My refund for the exam was processed straight away. Niamh is a credit to Cloudlearn and I look forward to dealing with her again.
Would highly recommend CloudLearn.
Would highly recommend CloudLearn.
Throughout my Daughters course.
I have had the pleasure of receiving the best support from Keli.
Keli has been very supportive no matter what question or query I have given Keli. I have always received a full explanation and given advice on the content of my query. This reflects highly on Keli's professionalism and expertise.
Thankyou so much Keli!
Okay for booking exams, not great course content
I enrolled on the maths course a year ago and Just got my results back from the IGCSE maths course I got 193 out of 200. Sat exams in November 2024. Cloud learn had nothing to do with the grade I achieved. I liked how the exams were already booked for me by cloudlearn as this made the process smooth and stress free. However i would only recommend this course if you have motivation and initiative to look elsewhere for other learning resources like the maths revision books like Cgp and YouTube channels with tutors. I actually ended up paying for a separate maths study subscription to help me get the grade I needed. The course content on cloud learn was very bare not enough learning activities on there to help you or help you revise. The topics weren’t explained very well and I felt a bit stuck before I started looking elsewhere for resources. If I had to do it again, I would book the exams only and not the course content. The website was really outdated and after a few weeks I gave up with it and taught myself through YouTube and books. I don’t think it’s worth paying extra for the course.
Great courses and service
The service I received was quick, personal and helpful. Payments options were offered to suit me. The courses themselves, although early days, look great. They are well laid out, support is easy to find and expectations are clear.
I am glad with the help I received…
I am glad with the help I received during my CloudLearn enrolment, in courtesy of Ms Katie and Keli, they went above and beyond to reply all my messages as well. I am sure they will always be there to help. What a splendid experience. Thanks
