While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

great reviews

i am not an exactly tech savvy person, but there is a time that i need to buy a new phone/laptop. then i need to know whether the items are good or not and cnet is the place where i will look for the review. i know there are tons of reviews website out there, but i find that cnet's reviews are relatively accurate and thorough. it is also a great website when i am looking for softwares, you can see the reviews for the software and for me, i dont feel as unsecure as googling the software on google and go to the developer's website directly. you wont absolutely know whether that website is legit or the download file is a virus. definitely cnet is a great website

Decent

Great site to download from unless you are using a cnet exclusive product which is always hard to get registered. Have registered some products online 10 times and when I access the software still receive message the product is unregistered.

What have they done???

I used to use CNet all the time. Not anymore, because i have to give them details, email etc, just to download software that used to be readily available.

Now i never go on CNet, I'm not signing up, when i don't have to anywhere else to download these files.

Shame.

First Port of Call for a Tech or Software Review

I will always have a look at cnet before buying any tech or software. Their reviews are always conscientious and unbiased, plus I like the facility for users to add their reviews as well. Far better than buying all those What...? magazines to find out the best item of tech to buy.
A must for any Favourites when surfing the net.
