Terrible service and not reliable
My wife had this company for travel insurance. She got very sick on the first day of the trip which lasted the whole week. She had all her needed documentation for proof and her Mum, sister, hotel, doctor and sos international knew and saw how sick she was with strong sinus infection, throat virus and bronchitis. She went to doctor, got antibiotics and laid in bed all week. SOS international called everyday for check ins which was recorded. And they made a case for her. STILL after all this Codan insurance did not believe her illness and did not want to support her loss of holiday that she saved up for and had waited two years to go on. It is absolutely crazy that they did not take her seriously even with all that evidence. You basically have to be lying for death to get money back from this insurance. It’s really not recommended. Her sister got the same sickness as her and with her insurance she got money back from the lost days immediately.

Bad service
I got a phone call and it happens to be Codan insurance, the sales guy was offering me a car insurance however he could not make it cheaper than the one i already have from another company and that is fine with me so i nicely declined the offer and then the sales guy just hung up the phone which was unpolite. If you work as a salesperson then you should know how to accept a NO because not everyone wants to buy your product. You should hire professional salespeople and not grown-up people that has a kids behavior.

Best for electric cars
I drive under Codan insurance for almost 2 years. I would certainly recommend this insurance company - especially when it comes to electric car insurance in Denmark. The car insurance process is very smooth and quick, and pricing very reasonable (especially for electric cars).

Worst communication...
Their communication is just unaccaptable - nobody get´s back to you.
We still have a active claim (since June!!) and they simply forwarded the claim to a subcontactor without sending all necessary documents.
This is one of the worst service-experiences I´ve ever had.

Really bad service!
This is not a review about the insurance coverage by Codan, as this is not the company where I have my insurances.
BUT their service when it comes to claims + communication is horrible, no structure, feedback and organisiation at all - we had to send documents 3 times until they started to look into them and until now I haven´t receive any answer or clear statment about my claim. It´s been 5 months now (car accident btw.)

Have suddenly received a bill for something that happened in February 2018. No explanation or detail. Have called and emailed. No response to my email for 8 days, no one on the phone is helpful. Awful customer service.

South Africa - travel insurance
I was ill when travelling in South Africa. Codan's travel insurance was excellent. I got proactive, immediate help in arranging to see a doctor and arranging for payment in advance. I would absolutely recommend Codan.
