I always thought that Coleman camping equipment was good quality and reliable,

I always thought that Coleman camping equipment was good quality and reliable, but now I know different. I thought that the company would be proactive and stand behind its products, but now I know different and what an expensive mistake it has been.
I purchased (or rather was gifted) a high-rise double mattress, I am getting older and getting up off the floor is increasingly difficult so I thought this would make life a little easier. I expected my old GAZ pump would fit and inflate the bed (it is the same company) but the nozzle would not fit. I purchase Coleman's own air inflator and to my surprise, it came with the same adaptor and still did not fit. I phoned Coleman and spoke to Cindy who did her very best to help me but eventually suggested I phoned Norwich Camping and ask if they could help. They could not so I phoned Coleman back and spoke to Chris who told me that the adaptor and the valve never mate properly and that I should hold it in tight and that the mattress should inflate in about three minutes. I reminded him that this was the high-rise mattress and that it had taken about 10 to 12 minutes to inflate only to be told I was wrong.
Apparently, no one is able to design an adaptor that actually fits the valve and has at least some sealing properties! That is like making a bomb that does not go bang or a cyclist who cannot tell the difference between red and green, both are useless.
When I asked for some resolution I was told I should return the pump to where I got it, great, I am going away on Friday. I have a better idea, I will return both as being unfit for purpose!

AVOID THIS COMPANY

AVOID THIS COMPANY! Dreadful customer care following a stove not working, replaced by GoOutdoors and the replacement doesn't work either. Coleman must know there is a fault with their Fyrestorm but they are burying their heads and refusing to communicate. They haven't even asked for the stove to be sent in to be investigated. Dreadful and I will not be using Coleman products EVER AGAIN!!!

Valdes tent

My valdes fastpitch 4 tent was purchased July 2018. When erected for the first time I noticed lots of loose threads in some of the stitching and the guy ropes were of a very poor quality.
Not what I have come to expect from Coleman.
On my second outing with the tent, one of the guy rope fixing points broke away at the stitched joint, then a few days later the side door leaked during the rain.
My retailer told me Coleman don't cover these faults through the warranty.
After contacting Coleman and the retailer a few times, I was left with a tent that leaks water and has a bodged seam- retailer carried out a repair themselves !
Coleman used to care about quality and customer service, now they take your money and run.....Very fast.

The airbed which leaks

The Coleman products I have used have generally been of high quality..... With one exception.
The inflatable mattress is the single worst piece of camping kit I have bought in 30 years. We have a single and a double. The material feels good and the valve is well designed and functions well. However, on every trip in which I have used these airbeds, I spend half the night in great discomfort as the burst mattress deposits me on the ground. I then spend the morning searching for leaks and fixing them - different ones each day. We have not abused the mattresses, dragged them over the floor, rested them on prickles or jumped on them. I believe the material is just utterly unsuitable and bursts very easily. We have exchanged them both once but the new ones were no better.
I once went to a muddy festival where a long line of Coleman airbeds (burst, I presume) were used as a walking mat. Maybe that's what they're best used for.

broken after 1 seson

i did start giving this tent 5 stars, but after 1½ seson it is broken.

the tent is broken where the poles hold the tent up, and is the middle section.

it is the outer cloth of the tent that is broken, and got 2 holes located just next to each other.

this damage came a windy day, not so much really, and now it is comepletely useless. next time i put this tent up and the will be a litthe windy again, it will be totally broken. bye bye 180 pounds.

i have contacted coleman in hoping for them to refund me or repair it.

but really after 2 vacation and it is allready broken, that is just poor.
