I used Colron Danish oil in what was called “Natural” tone to restore the Ercol rocking chair I’d sanded down and it turned the wood ORANGE! It now looks cheap and nasty and so I will have to sand the entire chair back and use a quality brand of oil instead of unreliable Colron.
I am really impressed with Colron's Georgian Medium Oak Wood Beeswax, which I recently used during the refurbishment of an Ercol hostess trolley / drop-leaf table. It was easy to use and produced a fabulous finish to the piece, which had previously been ruined with a very dark layer of varnish.
