Bought a Comline pollen filter for Insignia CDTI on the famous 'bay' auction site. This part has to be the worst quality replacement part i ever obtained in 0ver 40 years of maintaining my own cars. Its so bad i asked the A.I. if the impressive images on the website was fake! It pointed out NO comline are bone fide. Which only mean then what on earth do they think they are doing allowing absolute rubbish like this filter through ? I thought it was going fall apart just during being pushed into its slot / fitted.
Awful quality brakes.
Replaced the discs & pads shorty after my vans MOT in November 2023. The van has only travelled 11,690 miles since. They quickly became warped, pitted & scored to the point the van excessively shakes under braking. Terrible quality, would never use them again.

Cheap and good enough for older cars.
Not good quality
I bought two track rod ends from my local motor factors, fitted them and torqued them up to the recommended figure, after a week they started to knock as badly as the old ones I took off, took them back to the motor factors and they exchanged them, fitted the new ones and had the tracking done (£40) and again after a few weeks they started knocking as badly as the old ones again. I bought a set of FEBI branded ones from elsewhere and haven't had a problem in months. So after all that I have had to spend an extra £60, (£20 on new track rod ends and another £40 on getting the tracking done again).
Cheap parts but not necessarily good quality
I needed replacement brake discs and pads for my C3 Picasso to get it through the MOT, so I bought a complete set of Comline branded parts and fitted them myself a couple of years ago. I don't do that many miles these days, probably less than 10k per year, mostly local trips, so they've maybe covered at the very most 25k miles. I've never been a particularly heavy brake user either. I recently took the car in to have new tyres fitted and the fitter remarked how badly the discs were worn. Today I fitted new front discs and pads again (not Comline) and was really disappointed to see that although the pads were no more than half worn, the discs had very pronounced lips on them. It would appear that the pads would probably have outlasted the discs! Won't be buying from Comline again because cheaper isn't necessarily more economical in the long run.
Would recommend trying Comline
Bought Comline Filters, Pads and Discs for a Volvo V70 and XC60 and have been great. No issues at all! Would recommend.

Avensis rear calipers failure
Avensis rear calipers, less than a year the mechanical handbrake is sticking on both. Thought is was the epb and had to wait 4 weeks for appointment from which the auto electrician told me the epb was fine, it's the calipers that were the problem. By this date, they were just past warranty.
Buy cheap, buy twice, lesson learned.
Edit: Yes, still have the calipers. Do you have contact details?
Edit 2 (20-Mar): Eventually got a response from their website form, not from the email below, to say they are under warranty and return them to where they were purchased. So much for: "We take any such quality complaints very seriously and would ideally have liked to inspect the calipers where the fault was identified. Do you or your mechanic still have the calipers available?" Comline had no interest. Again, both new calipers failed not just one.

Received my oil, air, fuel, cabin filters all for under £20 - so I'll definitely be changing them more regularly from now on. And I trust these guys after 25 years in the business know a thing or two about filtration!

Won't go back to PAGID
I've always gone for PAGID or TRW in the past but I decided to try out comline pads and discs for servicing my AUDI A3. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality given the lower price. Easy to fit, no issues with squeaking or knocking in the 8 months since I fit them.
Will be seeing what other products they do for future servicing!

Changed fuel filter 2.5di transit
Changed fuel filter 2.5di transit. It started leaking each time I turned engine off. Removed filter and changed housing yet still the same. Removed filter again and changed brand and yes all OK. So a check on the comline filter showed the seal to be as smooth as 400 grit sandpaper. I have three more in stock and all three have rough seals. Wasted 3 hours trying to stop the leak and 3 new filters ready for the bin.

comline brake pads
Bought a set of comline brake pads. They are absolutely useless unless you want an audible brake warning to let half of the town know you are braking! Will be replacing these ASAP!

Pollen filter is flimsy compared to the original. Diesel fuel filter is so stiff on the lugs it's almost impossible to push home they don't clip.
Personally I think these parts are poor quality and the diesel fuel filter I'm gonna change for oem part asap.
