Fantastic quick ans easy service from john who efficiently sorted my issue
John was very helpful and quick to respond.
You are lucky to have the likes of John in you company and his quick understanding of my query and suggested resolution was better than that from Fedex, the company that believes that I owe them money despite my having shared evidence to the contrary.
These guys are a proper amateur outfit.
Contacting us regarding payments due from 2023, getting the information in front of them wrong. Wrong shop, wrong date, no supplier... the poor thing was flustered on the phone. So embarrassing for her, but she was still able to maintain her snotty and arrogant tone, bless her soul.
We have no agreements with FedEx/TNT and myself in place whatsoever. The agreements lie with suppliers, but they don't want to listen to the help in trying to steer them in the correct direction, but would rather waste their customers time and money contacting the incorrect people because "your name is on here". So was the suppliers name, but that's too much work for them.
Good luck choosing these guys to get your accounts paid.
John was very happy to help and get my issue resolved, quick and easy to use.
This company is a scam. FedEx posted invoices to a wrong address not affiliated with our company. ControlAccount emailed me but wouldn't talk to me because I didn't know this wrong address and said I was the wrong person, even though they emailed me. When we got to the bottom of it by finally getting FedEx to email me the invoices, turns out we'd actually paid half of them. Meanwhile ControlAccount starts threatening legal action, trying to bully us into panicking and paying before the issue is resolved. We just paid the invoices unpaid to FedEx, which we would have done immediately if they were delivered to us in the first place. FedEx are incompetent and ControlAccount is an opportunistic bully, preying on people not used to dealing with debt collectors
Asim was very helpful and efficient, thank you Asim!
Sue was great on the phone, she listened, and explained, and got to the heart of the problem. But the real problems are with Fedex, they don't explain properly on the invoice what the charges are for, nor will they engage when you ask questions, they just reply with the same emails, and then send to debt collection, this issue took nearly two years to resolve
John was very helpful and quick. Had a really nice experience.
Scam company, Do Not Pay them anything. They are scamming people who have already paid the customs fees or no fees are due. The copy of the invoice letter they sent was fake and their good reviews on here are too.
UPS sent me a bill for interest (€4.18 dated 10th December 2024 and received on 13th January 2025) on an unpaid invoice in January 2025. Invoice not received by me as goods were delivered to namesake who lives 40km away.
On 14th January Controlaccount contact me looking for €57.65. The phone number supplied by both UPS and Controlaccount does not work. I used the Controlaccount ref to access the delivery docket which is clearly addressed to someone else with the same name who lives 40km away and alerted them to the problem.
Zero replies from Control account more than 3 weeks later and no means of contacting them as their system no longer allows me access using their reference number.
If I could I would give them a minus rating.
Not just very poor service but no service at all.
Still no contact 18th February 2025.
I was contacted by phone on 18th February and informed that Controlaccount would take up the matter with UPS.
Today 6th March 2025 I received a credit note from UPS.
It is clear to me that there would have been no contact from Controlaccount were it not for this review here. This is a very poor way to do business and so my review stands.
Waiting weeks for a reply, customer service don't know what's happening with my case, they ignore 80% of my email when they eventually reply and just use automated responses.
They are charging me a second time for an import charge I paid in December.
They keep telling me I have indeed paid, but then send me letters threatening legal action.
Worst experience with any company I have ever had
This company has all the compasion of a black mamba. They never listen, even when you inform them of your PTSD and that you are chasing Fedex because they should never have sent the account to these morons.
I felt it was like talking to drug induced chimps. All they could do was regurgitate the same rubbish, they don't have a clue on helping a person with my condition.
John was really helpful and without judgement!
It's not everyday that I engage with debt collectors so it was a pleasant surprise to be met with helpful, courteous and efficient people. The paperwork was clear and readily understood and the three occasions that I spoke with members of the team I was treated with the utmost courtesy and patience. The only negative was initial difficulty getting through on the phone. However, once connected everything was handled professionally and efficiently.
I received a debt collection letter from Control Account due to an outstanding payment from UPS. I had never received any previous correspondence from UPS about an outstanding payment before getting this letter so I was really confused and thought it could be a scam. I called UPS who were completely unhelpful. They couldn’t tell me anything about my account or if I owed any extra fees as it had been over 90 days. They wouldn’t even tell me if they deal with Control Account as a debt collection agency. I had placed an order back in October which I had prepaid the import fees for a parcel from Portugal and this was as requested by UPS and I had an email confirmation from UPS that the payment had been received and I had received the parcel so thought everything was all sorted. Today I spoke to Tanya at Control Account who was extremely polite and helpful and sent me a link to send them a copy of the UPS payment email confirmation. I logged into my bank to double check the date the payment went out and it turns out UPS never took the payment from my account even though I had an email confirming the payment had been received!! I called Control Account back and offered to pay (even though it was UPS who had made the error!) the fee was only an extra £5 on top of the original import fee. The second time I called Control Account I spoke to Sue who again was really helpful in assisting me. They were both really lovely and put me at ease, unlike UPS who had never even contacted me to say I owed them money and just passed it onto a debt collector. I know debt collectors can have a bad reputation but this wasn’t the case for me when dealing with Control Accounts.
Vendor I purchased from, provided Fedex and hence ControlAcc the WRONG address for VAT payment. The payment had become DOUBLE the original VAT due to the late fees sent by letter to the incorrect address by Controlacc. I have the receipt showing I added the correct one at purchase, ControlAcc completely ignored this and said that was my problem and refused take any part in resolving the issue beyond me just having to pay off the VAT with massive late fees.
Absolutely dreadful company to have to experience.
Bullies and damn right rude!
Horrendous!
They act in bad faith and are unresponsive to emails.
The original invoice had been sent to the wrong address and once this had been confirmed the additional charges were removed and the amount paid. The member of staff who I dealt with was very helpful and extremely polite.
