I have now been in my new home for almost 6 months, and I am still upset by how badly Convey Law handled my case.
From day one, there was no sense of urgency, no ownership, and no accountability. I ended up doing the majority of the chasing myself — including having to sort out my own Help to Buy process, which is frankly unacceptable for a service I was paying for.
To make matters worse, I was actually charged an additional fee just to “expedite” the process and get things over the line — something that should have been managed properly in the first place. Others have also raised concerns about unclear or increasing costs, which sadly aligns with my experience.
The lack of competence had real financial consequences. I lost a £2,500 water softener system because Convey Law failed to ask the buyer whether they wanted it. I was then told by the new owner that it was “included with the property” — which it absolutely was not. This is basic conveyancing detail, and they simply didn’t get it right.
Communication was poor throughout — long silences, constant chasing, and a general feeling that no one actually cared about progressing the case. Again, this is not an isolated issue; delays and lack of communication are recurring complaints from others.
The attitude of some of the staff only made things worse — arrogant, dismissive, and completely lacking any sense of urgency or customer care.
I could name and shame individuals involved (other reviews)
Buying and selling property is stressful enough without having to carry your conveyancer through the process. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere.
Couldn’t have asked any more from them, made the process so easy to complete the process of remortgage my property.. well done and thank you for all those involved

Helen and Lauren did a good job with the sale of my property. Their online app allowed you to keep track of progress and they responded quickly to any queries I had. The only little negative I had for the Company and not the staff was the little extras for additional checks could add up and make the bill higher than what was anticipated. It would be nice to have an option for one set fee from the outset even if it was a little more that protected you against any unexpected queries.
But on the whole a good company and trustworthy. Would use again. Thank you

Convey law have been so helpful in guiding us through our first house purchase. The welcome pack was informative and the team were always easily contactable which made the process simple to follow. We worked with Phill as our conveyancer and really appreciated his guidance and agility especially in navigating unforeseen blips. Phill's communication was superb, he was truly reliable and we are very thankful for all the hard work actioned over the last few months to get us into our home.

Convey law handled the sale and purchase of our house. It became quite a complicated process but convey law were extremely efficient and were by far the most communicative conveyancer in our chain.
Chloe was especially tenacious even staying after hours to help get an exchange.
I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.

Sophie has been absolutely brilliant throughout the process of helping us buy our new home. She’s been super efficient with all communication, very proactive and has made sure that we’ve been able to complete as swiftly as possible. She’s very friendly and helpful, answering all sorts of questions we had. We can’t thank her enough for her hard work and would recommend her and Convey Law to others in the future.

Lewis at Convey Law dealt with our remortgage from start to finish. Throughout the entire process he was kept us up to date with everything that was going on and was prompt at replying to any questions that we had. The online portal that is used is fantastic and allows you to see what is happening and the immediate changes that occur. A fantastic process from start to finish.

Convey Law are a solid team of conveyancing solicitors. Once we had figured out how best to work together / comms were established, they helped me expedite my flat purchase in order to accommodate my friend's unexpectedly early required move (due to being kicked out of her previous place by a landlord selling). This is above and beyond usual asks of conveyancers and the team were extremely helpful engaged in the final few weeks of the purchase process, including helping me manage some pretty serious mistakes by others in the chain (Otherside solicitors, agents, etc.). Thanks so much Sophie & Jack - really owe you one. Take care & I wish you guys all the best for the future :)

I would not recommend to anyone.
Throughout my whole transaction, my experience has been awful. My original quote skyrocketed by almost two thousand pounds for work which was completely foreseeable within the transaction. They do not respond to you, ignore emails and are generally incompetent. Not to mention letters which are dated incorrectly and missing telephone calls.
I have been utterly shocked by the service provided.
Alex and imogen were both incredible. I can not put into words, the fast but efficiently provided support through the sale of my house was. Every step of the way I was notified and given updates to the progress and any questions, queries or uncertainties I had, were answered straightforward and assured for me.
To all the guys at convey law I would like to a huge huge thank you. You are all amazing and wonderful 😊

Quantity over Quality, a classic Conveyancer way of Life.
I instructed this company in 2021 for the purchase of my Home, initially everything appeared to go to plan despite minimal
Support, guidance and Professionalism. Once completed and exchanged it was time for the Stamp Duty return, somehow the conveyancer managed to mess this up resulting in an overdue balance from HMRC, this was raised and I was told that it had been fixed immediately….fast forward 4 years later to threatening letters from HMRC for excess £3000 owed…As anyone would I contacted their post completion team which has proved to be as useful as an Ashtray on a Motorcycle. I am fairly certain their Post Completion team is run by an intern which internet access only granted once’s every Moon cycle, I am up to 11 emails sent and 4 received back in the last 4 months. Trying to go through their telephone line to speak to someone of significance has less chance of happening than me recouping my loses through the National Lottery.
At this stage I am having to do all the leg work with HMRC to get this resolved without their assistance which they seem adamant not to provide anyway.
I’d like to end on a positive note however the stress and anxiety this has caused me 4 years post purchase makes it difficult to do, an issue that to this day still isn’t resolved completely. At least their Automated reply Robot emails me back and is practically carrying this Company in terms of customer contact.
I was misled by their website and didnt get what I thought i was giving my Information for, that's not their fault. BUT... after I decided not to proceed I reviewed a phone call everyday from them multiple times and at least 1 email every day before I blocked the number and unsubscribed. After unsubscribing I still received emails. Absolute bombardment and very frustrating
