Total rip off Same telephone number but called Repair on site.

Same telephone number but called themselves Repair on site. We used this site as desperate to get induction hob fixed as with three essential workers in the house during COVID19 lock down. A lesson to be learnt - never use on-line sites always go to a reputable firm. Charged me £95 for call out and a further £35 for travel costs. Total rip off. My story begins with after the initial conversation with a guy called James Barker. He assured us it would be sorted the next day. Next day came no telephone calls to say engineer would arrive. After several unanswered calls, I became suspicious and cancelled the payment with the bank. .Surprise, surprise then received a phone call saying engineer would be out that pm. The guy they sent Took all side panes off cooker when it was the hob to be fixed. Then nearly dropped the glass induction top. At this stage I asked him if was qualified to work on rangemasters induction hobs. Looked embarrassed and said yes but offered no-more. After 40 minutes said he would have to order parts but by this time we had absolutely no confidence in him. Cancelled order and will not touch with a barge pool again.

There should be a way of giving a zero…

There should be a way of giving a zero star rating.
The company took my card details, gave me an automated job number by email, did not turn up today as expected, did not contact me or deliver as promised in any respect
Attempts to speak to someone on the 08007720036 number, were met with a recorded message. I left a message stating very clearly that I am cancelling any arrangement, do not wish to continue with the promise of a repair and do not expect any money to be requested from my account.
As an added precaution I rang my banks SCAM line and took their advice to cancel my card, which is probably the only smart thing I did in this whole sorry saga.
Be warned...go local!!

Would give zero stars if possible

Would give zero stars if possible. I only want a new catch for a Rangemaster door and their advert strongly suggested they dealt in this kind of thing. No engineers in Nottingham?! Well that’s what their automated reply inferred. Don’t waste your time.

Don’t waste your time contacting

Sent an enquiry this morning as my oven is not working. Received an automated email. 10 minutes later received a phone call asking where I lived even though I’d given my postcode on my initial contact. He said he would ring back in 5 minutes. He did ! But only to be told he doesn’t cover my area!! Even though they advertise it on their website. Unbelievable. However after reading other negative reviews for posting this one I think I’ve had a lucky escape. Don’t bother contacting this company

When we booked the appointment we were…

When we booked the appointment we were advised that the engineer would be at the premises for at least 25 minutes - we have an indepant witness who was at the property who said that if he was there 10 minutes that was the height of it - unless he has his xray specs on there is no way he could have diagnosed the problem - never sent the engineers report and have asked for a refund which hasnt even been acknowledged - coplete rip off - do not use this company

Don't bother. Very expensive call out fee and poor communications.

Tried to book an engineer to fix our oven, call out charge is £81+VAT, plus labour and parts. Waited in for them to arrive all afternoon, at 4pm received a call from their call centre to inform that the engineer isn't coming and that they can't do anything other than send me a link to another website that might show me where I can find another engineer who might be able to come out next week... Useless waste of time. I found a local repair centre, engineer is coming out on Saturday and costs almost half the price!
