The Cotswold Company - Stamford Reviews 

I have been asked by Cotswolds to write a review so here you go. We purchased a KIng size bed from the Stamford store on 29th June (note: Cotswold charge for delivery and assembly, but this is stated at time of purchase). We were told delivery would be on 8th July. However I received a text on 3rd July informing us delivery would be on 6th July, fortunately I was working from home this day. The delivery drivers / fitters were upbeat, polite and professional, however the bed had two slats missing. They raised this issue immediately and I was contacted by telephone and then email on the same day by Lauren Lee from the customer support team. Subsequently two replacement slats were sent by courier, however unfortunately although they arrived quickly, they did not fit. I informed Lauren, with photographs, and she arranged for the correct slats to be sent, again by courier, these thankfully did fit. Although there have been some bumps in the road, overall I am happy that the problems were resolved quickly. We really like the bed and Lauren Lee's quick and efficient responses moved this review from 3* to 4* (Managers please note).
Final point, Cotswolds do not take old mattresses or bed frames so this needs to arranged separately.

The lady who served me was very new to the job but very lovely and warm fantastic customer service As I have trained customer service for 25 years I recognise good service However on occasions when I have phoned the person I spoke to was patronising and abrupt not at all warm So 10/10 to the new lady who served me

Our order for storage units and dining table/chairs was dealt with very efficiently throughout the process from ordering to delivery and assembly. The quality of the furniture is excellent and we would have no hesitation in using them in the future and recommending them to family and friends

The staff in the Stamford showroom were fantastic- Mel spent ages with us, listening to all our needs and ensuring we made the right choice. When I called back later to order the member of staff was very helpful and explained everything very clearly. Great service.

Lovely shop, airy clean and fabulous service lots of beautiful things which I bought 2 of.

Staff were really helpful and friendly but not too overbearing.

I would particularly like to thank Andrea who to the time to demonstrate the extending tables in the Stamford showroom. They explained the difference in the fabrics available for the sofa and different fillings for the seating. Also down to finer detail of dining chairs to match the table of choice. The transaction was completed efficiently with colleague Ena at the till. Delivery of items explained. Overall an excellent experience and sensible prices and I would highly recommend visiting this store fore home life furnishings.

The staff were there to help and offer advice when needed but weren’t pushy. They knew the products well and were able to talk about them comprehensively. Customers gets a personal approach and feel like they are important and given time to decide on options. We visited the Stamford store on two occasions and were very very impressed with the service offered by Ina and Julie.

Having had an email conversation with Natasha prior to our visit to your Stamford store with regards to information on the Chester wardrobe it was a pleasure to meet her in person. She then continued her excellent customer service by placing my order for this wardrobe and organising delivery for me.
Your staff in this particular store are a credit to the company.

I recently purchased an Ashbee 4 Seater Sofa from the Cotswold Company in Stamford and had a really positive experience throughout.

Before buying, I visited the store several times and Louise was absolutely superb—she took the time to understand what I was looking for and offered helpful, knowledgeable advice without any pressure.

When I returned to place my order, I decided to do it in-store rather than online, and I’m glad I did. The whole team were excellent—friendly, professional, and very accommodating. They clearly explained all the available options, including interest-free finance, which made the process straightforward and reassuring.

Overall, great customer service and a genuinely pleasant buying experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Updated on 4th June: The delivery has just taken place - sofa made, delivered and installed in room within one month - Phenomenal service. Big shout out to Ryan and Silas too who delivered, lovely chaps who were mindful of my property and offered super service.

From the initial order date done in Stamford Shop right through to the delivery, an excellent service, Ryan and Bernard the delivery team were great and they even took all the packaging away!Thank you everyone involved. The quality of the furnitue is excellent. A very happy customer
