Cottman of Trenton Reviews 

We brought out son's 1995 Jeep Cherokee in to be looked at. We suspected it might need a new Flexplate & had gotten a price from another shop of $700.00. We called Cottman & Roland said, it might not be that, it could be a much less expensive repair, come on in & we'll evaluate it for free. My husband dropped it off & said if its under $200.00 do the repair, a few hours later Roland called to say it was lose bolts in several places w/the trans & torque converted and he had it all fixed & ready to go. We didn't have to wait for another day, after the initial evaluation, he didn't try to up-sell us on things we didn't need. He even told us that the transmission was in good condition & had been worked on before and that the motor & trans in this old Jeep would run for another 200K miles. This gave us some peace of mind about our teenage son driving it.

He was honest, trustworthy, a man of his word, polite and courteous. We couldn't have asked for a better experience here!

The day before I was to go on vacation, my van suffered a total fail (2 months out of warranty). Because I used to work for a car dealer. I personally know what a game auto repair can become. When my transmission failed, I dreaded the whole process, and I knew what a dealership would quote. They quoted over me over $5700 and would only give me a 30 day no-mileage guarantee. After some searching, I found Roland and the Cottman folks.

Roland had my car picked up, diagnosed the issues and offered a 3-year 50K mile guarantee. Best news was that the car was done in 3 days and was thousands less than what was quoted by the Chrysler dealer. Though it wasn't cheap, I would say the super accommodating and friendly group at Cottman made a bad luck situation more than bearable. I could not recommend a business more.

It is nice to have a Mechanic who is willing to listen explain and clarify what is wrong with your car and what the repairs will be. I cant tell you how many mechanic I have been to who just appear to be annoyed when I ask questions, or just brush my concerns off. Roland and his team were fantastic at this. All my concerns were looked into and and the repairs were made fast and at a very fair price in my opinion. Even while I was driving my car away the mechanic came out and told me how things went and what will need to be done in the future. I felt very comfortable and will recommend them for sure.
