I phoned on 17th Feb. to order 1000L of heating oil to be delivered over a 7.5T bridge. They arranged delivery on Fri but failed and texted it would be 24th. Another fail another text stating now the 25th. Another fail but no text this time. I phoned and their driver said they don't have a small enough lorry, but leave it with him. I cancelled order.

I ordered 600 litres of fuel. And they delivered me 425. As they ran out of fuel. They decided they will send my money back as can’t be bothered to deliver me what I had paid for useless company avoid. I’m not happy as now I have to buy more fuel to get the right amount I need to last my term. Avoid do not use them

Appalling company. Ended up for second time getting fuel from this company via Boilerjuice. First time they found my house. This time, notwithstanding the identical clear directions their driver had last time, the driver claimed he could not find the property. No other oil company has failed to in 17 years. Then they lied to boiler juice & pretended that they had left a message for me re non delivery. They didn’t. And worst of all they don’t inform me until 330pm the following day - a Saturday when my oil has run out & house full of kids.
At least 50 different companies have managed to find my property. And I was charged a premium to get it here on Friday.
Just find someone else.

CPL fuels Gt Yarmouth delivered 500 ltr of heating oil and after four hour the boiler was switched back on, it locked out within 2 minutes and when i checked the boiler it had water in the fuel lines, pump and filter.
i then had to wait till i had more time in daylight to see what the cause was. This was over a day later. i spent a total of 8 hours sorting this problem out and luckily it did not damage my new boiler.
when i e.mailed Boiler juice about the issue they passed on a message from CPL's supply manager
THEIR ANSWER WAS :-
Through past experience, similar events have occurred whereby the customers tank has a small amount of fuel in prior to delivery, we then make a delivery and any sediment/condensation water or foreign objects would be stirred up by the pressure of fuel being pumped in, this along with the fuel would then be sucked through the oil feed and into the boiler which would cause similar issues and I would say this is the likely cause. I appreciate the boiler had been switch off for 4 hours but it could take a lot longer than that for the sediment to settle for it not to cause an issue.
MY COMMENT :-
Even though i had let the tank stand after the delivery for 1 & 1/2 days before i could work on sorting things out the boiler failure, i then drained 15 ltrs of water through the filter on the tank outlet before clean fuel came out , strange that i could separate the oil and water instantly and at no time did it cloud up !
Yes there would be some water in my tank, that's to be expected but to have the water level increase so much that i had to drain off that much water when water being heavier always sits underneath the lighter fuel oil proves to me that it was introduced when the delivery took place. They passed my complaint to Boiler juice who took my initial order, who refused to accept responsibility. No surprise there.
Shall not be using boiler juice or CPL again, i have never had any problems with any other oil company before. i was not looking for a refund, just something to cover my 8 hours fixing the problem.

I was expecting an order of 1000 litres from CPL, a brand of Certas Energy, this morning. The tanker arrived at my neighbours and delivered his order, however, when it came to our order THEY HADN'T LOADED IT!!

The driver said that because my neighbour had placed the order for us, it was not authorised. My neighbour has been ordering on behalf of three properties for years, including from CPL on more than one occasion.

Apparently, he hadn't loaded the order for the other neighbour either - and 'apparently' they 'had' authorised their order. There didn't seem to be an excuse for that mistake.

Total shambles!

We won't be ordering from CPL or any other 'brands' in the Certas Energy group in the future so that's three lost customers; and they have just lost my current order too as I am not going to waste any more time trying to sort the fiasco out.

I order my fuel oil via boilerjuice and the two they sent to CPL neither was delivered on time. There is always some excuse (although I am still waiting to here what this one is as there has been no phone call, no message, nothing.
