What a superb service

What a superb service. The engineer Macauley was absolutely fantastic. I don’t think I’ve had a better worker at my house ever! He is an employee that should be looked after! He is a keeper.

Great engineer

Macauley was very friendly and efficient. It was clear when he would arrive and how quickly the job would be done. He had a positive approach to his work, even though it was early morning and cold.

Blocked Drain

Blocked Drain
Macauley arrived on time, was at all times polite and explained the work he was undertaking. He had an excellent work ethic and before he left arranged for a plumber to visit tomorrow with a spare part to complete the work. Wish there were more service engineers with his attitude and problem solving skills.

Cancelled my emergency call out

They were supposed to come and fix our frozen and burst main pipe as arranged by our insurer. I called them as I had a text saying they would arrive by half 2 and they hadn't... Only to be told they were too busy and they were CANCELLING my emergency call out and I should contact the insurers.
So I've now been lumbered with my 1 year old in a house with no water.
I cannot promote their disservice enough.

Unprofessional and untrustworthy.

Had a leak that we were initially unsure where it was coming from so called our insurance. Then between that call and them arriving the next day to said emergency, we had to remove some of the ceiling and plasterboard as the leak was worsening.
The engineer looked fresh from his bed, never checked anything to locate the leak, then was not sure what he could do to help as he said the old pipe was poor installation. Off he went and had not even so much as took a torch to look at the leak or check it’s location or the safety aspect. (water and electric do not mix) but they charged £96. We were then contacted 2 days later and the fresh out of bed plumber had said he could not gain access, this has now been changed from said plumber not being able to work on a lead pipe but the company covering his back on being able to access the pipe, bearing in mind we had removed all plaster etc for access. It was just the start of one lie and false promise after another, by now I still have a leak and 3 days have passed. I complained to the Insurance and I am promised a visit to fix said leak, 6 days after first call out and with a hour to spare before the company close, (as I am now no longer an emergency because the plumber came 6 days previous and scratched his head in my property, for the grand sum of £96) The receptionist rings with a very casual “You know what I am going to say” obviously another day wasted, another lie and broken promise of the leak definitely being fixed that day. Best part is, said telephone lady had the nerve to say “look rather than keep messing you about let us just say we will call one day next week” I actually surprised myself how polite I was in declining her offer as three wasted days and no plumber, not even a courtesy call to apologise was enough to put me off ever having anything to do with this company again.
Anyhow, independent plumber came to fix the job, £12.50 in parts and half hours labour.
Please avoid at all costs and if you work for this company and are a reputable worker, then I would question my workplace.

Disappointed

I worked for this company for over 26 years retiring in December 2021. My 25 year service was never acknowledged and my retirement passed without any acknowledgement from management. To say I,m disappointed would be an understatement.

I telephoned British Gas homecare on Monday re a faulty toilet. They arranged for Dynarod to contact me and an engineer to call, on Wednesday they telephoned re ETA. Jason came and after seeing the toilet explained the work required and carried out the repair quickly and efficiently. He had a replacement part with him so there was no delay. The engineer was polite and wore a Covid mask and had covers for his shoes. I was extremely happy with the experience.

We had prompt service for our kitchen tap repair today from dyno. There was a phone call from the company in morning to confirm the appointment. A very friendly young man came with mask on and did very professional job. He replaced the kitchen sink tap and checked all the other taps too. Very professional service by a follow up courtesy call after the job from the office.

I had two different drain unblocking companies come before Dyno and both failed to clear my toilet blockage.
Marcus from Dyno was amazing from start to finish. He managed to clear the blockage using a mechanical worm, something the other two companies didn’t posses.
He was very persistent, the blockage was stubborn and extremely difficult to get at.
My toilet also needed to be removed, something the other two companies were incapable of doing.
I wish I had gone with Dyno in the first place.
I was able to see the clear drain via camera after the work was completed.
Pictures taken at the start of the job to prove everything was complete and left in the same state as found.

A very professional service.

It’s close to Christmas and I really needed my toilet functional.

I wish Marcus and his family all the best for Christmas!
Thanks again!

My household was experiencing a horrible plumbing blockage. Marcus came round and provided an excellent service for me and my family. His customer service skills very brilliant and he was very good and his job. We had people come out previously twice for the same situation and it was left resolved. However Marcus fixed our plumbing problem straight away.

Avoid avoid avoid

Avoid avoid avoid. They say they will do the job then don't and refuse to answer emails. Disgraceful how they treat people that are prepared to spend good money

Another company had to do the job for them, I don't trust them!

After many attempts by me and my builder with rods and plungers to clear a blocked drain in a ground-floor flat, we decided we needed to get outside help and call the ‘experts’. Hence I rang the Dyno-rod call centre at about 5 pm, was given the local office number (Craven Services) and an ‘engineer’ duly arrived in a large fancy van before 8 am next morning, though he didn’t seem to be too keen to be there at first. I don't know why.

Due to the likely complexity of the old drains, when I rang I said I thought we would need a camera to go down the drain. And the Dyno-rod website does clearly state that their vans carry cameras. But the ‘engineer’ who came to us said his camera was ‘broken’ so there would be no camera that morning.

Quite quickly he ran a worm device from the toilet outlet to the manhole but the water level didn’t go down. He repeated that with a similar result. He told me that a pressure hose can only go in the direction of the flow, but he couldn’t do that from inside because ‘water would go everywhere’, so there was nothing more he could do. He did however indicate that he thought there must be a collapsed drain, for which they could give a quote. I hate to imagine how much for.

He also told me that someone would return later in the day with a camera to do an inspection. But in the meantime he wanted £132 there and then for achieving nothing at all useful. I paid, by credit card, and am still waiting for the invoice/receipt that is supposed to be ‘in the post’.

I rang my insurance company and was pleasantly surprised to find the drain was covered by my policy. They also told me that they would normally delegate the work to a company who specialize in reinstating damaged drains. I agreed to this.

I then drove to buy a camping toilet as a temporary measure for the flat occupant. As I was on the road I got a call from Dyno-rod to say someone was at the flat with a camera, though there had been no communication in the interim. I said that the specialist drainage company was now involved and to forget the camera, by then there seemed to be no point.

The next day the other company’s engineer arrived in a simple little van a little before 2 pm, I thought to discuss how best to sort out the drain: do a repair or dig a new one. He said he would first put his camera down to see what was going on. He did that, found a blockage, ran a pressure hose from BOTH ends (INSIDE and outside) to clear it and then ran his camera all the way through the drain. We were able to see the feed to his laptop, and what we saw was quite amazing: a completely clear, perfectly straight, undamaged drain that could have been laid yesterday.

The specialist company sent an engineer who did what Dyno-rod didn’t do and did it without any fuss or mess. He was done, dusted and away within an hour.

After that my confidence in Dyno-rod is now precisely zero, I don’t trust them. Were they looking to replace rather than clear the drain? I don’t know, but the thought lingers in my mind. I have told my credit-card company that I dispute the Dyno-rod charge as they didn’t do what they claim to do. Another company had to do that, which does not in my view augur (sic) well for Dyno-rod.
