several plates suffered delamination
Have bought several plates, unfortunately the last 2 orders of 3 custom plates have suffered delamination 1 lasted 1 year and the other less than 2. Not what you would expect for premium price plates of 34 quid inc postage. Was offered 20% for replacement which is a mere 5 pound off. Not worth the 70 pounds lost.
The warranty is not the issues, the plates were not fit for purpose, 3 out of 4 number plates have failed, number plates should last excess of 5 years!!

You ordered a non-standard custom cut to your specific size requirement plate hence the price.
As we clearly explained to you on the telephone and through several emails, 12 months warranty only lasts 12 months, you waited another 5 months to report the issue. Because of your long delay in reporting it, we explained how 12 months warranty works then offered you a generous 20% discount towards another plate. You continued to press for a replacement plate stating you had fitted on the plate 4D letters trying to claim the cost for this additional modification also, we again tried to explain to you that any additional modifications made by the customer is not part of our warranty and should you have informed ourselves in a timely manner within the warranty period we would have replaced the original order with the same plate without question or cost to you, minus all modifications.
Because we hadn't given you a free plate you decided at the eleventh hour to say another plate from over 2 years ago has also started to delaminate.
You made a big thing out of your low confidence in our product, yet continued to press for a replacement along with wanting to buy another set of plates from ourselves.
We gave you the option of a generous 20% discount or try elsewhere. you replied, "I will go elsewhere"
Our offer is still available if you so wish to purchase an non-standard custom sized plate.

This customer amends his story that shows him in the wrong light and adds regarding warranty, this is changing by the minute, first it was one plate with an issue, then when not getting his own way (5 months out of warranty is not a requirement for a "I want a free plate") at the 11th hour another plate fails, NOW there is a third plate. He has placed 4 orders (4 pairs of plates) over the last 5 years, 2019, 2020, 2021, Jan 2022. Only now are the other plates an issue???
We cut all plates to custom sizes off the shelf in-house, not like other plate makers who have a limited fixed set of sizes who don't have the facility to cut custom size plates.
You were also going to buy another set of plates which the 20% discount will go towards both sets, giving you 40% off your 1st set of plates.
Our offer is still available if you so wish to purchase a non-standard custom sized plate.

I’m a returning customer and have absolutely no desire to go anywhere else when I want plates. This time I sent Phillip a design idea for a motorbike plate via the website and he sent me a mock up via email. This highlighted to me that my design didn’t look quite right so I made some changes and Phillip sent me another picture of the plate via email. I still wasn’t totally happy so I tweaked it again and this time it looked perfect. The plates were made and sent out and they are a thing of beauty! This level of customer service and attention to detail is very rare in our modern world but it’s exactly how I’d be if I ran my own business so it’s what I want to see when I’m a paying customer. So 5 Stars is a no-brainer from me.

Superb service from Phillip
Superb service from Phillip. I had a query about a particular size that no other company seemed capable of answering (if you could get hold of them).
Not only was Phillip contactable but provided great advice and made the size available in his website for me to order from within half an hour.
Plates arrived just a few working days later and are absolutely superb, expectations exceeded.
Highly recommended.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for a fantastic service. I received the plates yesterday and they are perfect and brilliant quality, I have brought many plates recently and over the years for various cars and bikes from different plate makers and never have they been perfect or what I wanted and usually full of bubbles!!
Finally I’ve found the best man for the job!

Unbelievably rude after their mistake and failed plates!! Swearing at me and calling me "boy"
Having messed up an order a year ago they begrudgingly sent me the correct plates. So, this year I thought I'd give them another go - what a mistake!! The plates delaminated within a week and I sent them high quality photos of the failed plate - Matt told me they'd only replace after I send back the first plate. I explained I couldn't have a car with no plate and so we agreed I'd return after I receive the replacement. The replacement delaminated in a couple of days - before I'd even got the original one back in the post!!. So I sent more images and returned the replacement as it was also slightly rhombus-shaped - one end being taller than the other. They said that they wouldn't refund as I'd returned the replacement not the original and this is where they became rude and aggressive and swore at me calling me "boy"??? I explained that the failure mode of the replacement was exactly the same as the original and so it really doesn't matter which they have back and that I would return the original once the second replacement has proven it is fit for purpose. Philip then just began shouting and swearing at me saying no refunds and not allowing me to get a word in. Unbelievably rude and very insulting. So I've now incurred extra postage costs and have very poor quality plates!! Avoid.

Hi M,
As previously stated in our email communications, we require the (drilled and fitted with screws) original faulty plate back before we can send a replacement. Unfortunately you got the better of us, you professed to be "a man of your word" and we as part of "excellent customer service" sent you a replacement before the return of the original alleged faulty plate, you promised to send on receipt of the replacement the original plate back. Unfortunately the replacement was fitted with sticky pads also suffered some sort of fault and you reported this. We asked for the original plate back, was a simple task of putting the no longer fitted removed plate in the envelope and return it, we would then refund all postage costs. For some reason you decided to remove the replacement plate fixed with sticky pads and return that, we required the original one for further investigation.
You email today demanding your refund, we tried to explain that the refund was for the return of the requested original plate. You're now showing your true colours, Within 5 minutes you went from Mr nice guy to very rude and aggressive, when you found that we were correct with our return request, you made wild threats.
You then telephoned 3 times,each time very angry and aggressive. We tried to get a word in and explain as best as we could that the refund will be made once you follow our returns process,you called me and staff f'ing idiots and that you will get on all the forums telling everyone you didn't get your way. I said all calls are recorded for training and security purposes and fully transcribed when needed. All you need to do is return the original faulty plate for postal refund so that we can find why it has failed. I would like to add that the manufacturing processes used on the replacements were completely different to each other and to the original. The second and third plate with these unique expensive manufacturing processes will not delaminate.
We still stand by our offer of postal refund for the return of the original plate.
I look forward to your confirmation you can do this now.
