The clock I ordered is beyond five stars. It arrived very quickly (from Italy!), wrapped in layers and layers of bubble wrap, and when I finally saw it, it blew my mind. Fabulous design (true to picture), extremely well made, quality materials. The customer service is courteous and extraordinarily efficient —responded promptly to my questions, kept me informed in a timely manner of the delivery schedule. A most excellent experience.

I’m very happy with the products I ordered, but I wish you had an option to order cord samples. If there is a sample option, it’s too hard to find.

Horrific job in packaging. My items arrived broken and scattered throughout the box. Complete disarray and lack of even caring how there products arrived. No instructions for anything and follow up took forever when I reached out about a refund. Left with useless broken supplies. Buyer be warned. This place used to be so good and helpful to buy from. Now complete trash. Stay far away.

SUMMARY: A decently stylish product that even a non-electrician can set up, if they're able to think on their feet. The product you receive might be of lower quality than pictured on the website, and product-specific documentation may be nonexistent or hard to find.

PROS:
-I didn't realize my package would be shipping from Italy, but even free shipping arrived in about 7 days, which I found expedient.
-The lampshade, socket, and cable match my aesthetic and fits in where I put it. I was glad to have such a variety available to choose from.
-The cable seems to be of good quality, so do most of the accessories (switch, plug, swag hook). The fairleads and swag hook came with drywall anchors and screws that are minimal but strong.
-Putting the lamp together was often a fun DIY experience for someone like me, who never does electrical work.
-It works well with the bulb I installed and matches the idea I had in my head.

CONS:
-The lampshade and accessories arrived a little banged-up - the lampshade has indelible markings/dents/deformation; not too noticeable unless you're inspecting it closely. Also, some of my accessories were not well packed and ended up all over the box.
-They sent me two bulb sockets when I ordered only one - two slightly different sockets, with no indication on which one I should use. The first one I installed had too much grip on the bulb and twisted wires to the point of failure when I took bulbs out of the socket. If there had been better documentation on putting the socket together (see below), I could likely have avoided this. I'm now sing the second bulb socket, and it's working much better.
-There's very little documentation on how to set everything up. Some general videos that show the process of wiring and installing various sockets, but the system that my socket uses for securing to the cable is different than shown in the videos, which led to confusion for a newbie like me. Whenever I went looking for any written documentation, it was hard or impossible to get information useful for me.
-VERY annoyed with the choice to use plastic screws for securing cable to fixtures. Plastic might have been an acceptable choice if the drive were standard for US tools - similar to a flathead bit, but much closer to a rectangle. I completely stripped out one screw using a small flathead, and the other one might have two or so tightenings left before it completely strips out as well.
-The fixing of one component to the next leaves something to be desired. As described above, I'm not impressed with the plastic screw to hold cable. More annoyingly, I resorted to using threadlocker to prevent the wires from becoming twisted when installing or uninstalling lightbulbs, as the threaded pipe used to connect the socket cover to the socket simply wasn't strong enough to hold the socket fast while unscrewing a lightbulb.

COMMENTS: I think I paid just a bit over an appropriate price for what I received. I was disappointed to see that my lampshade was dinged up when it arrived, and it appears to have come that way from the factory - no damage on the box, only to the shade. Aside from mixed elation and frustration during assembly, I do think that the lamp looks nice how and where I've installed it. Overall, I would return to Creative Cables for my next lighting project.

I purchased this wrapped cable because I was adding ceilling lights to a room that never had any. Rather than completely redoing the ceiling to run wiring through the floor joists, I opted to swag cables to the lights and tie them up with fairleads. Everything went really smoothly and I was able to take an entire collection of other lamps out of that room.

Received order, terrible packing and parts were broken. Sent multiple emails and no response. Do not buy from this company. They will not provide and response and don’t care about the products how you receive them. This needed to be said!

Product description was accurate. Delivery incredibly fast despite the order coming from Italy. Reasonable pricing.
