A firm to stay away from

I entered into an IVA in April 2016 eand fog company was taken over by and then the troubles started. They organised a creditor reviewed and lied by saying I had agreed a 24 month extension which never happened. When I retired I wrote to them explaining the substantial loss of income but they ignored it and wanted the same money as I was working. Finally, after 8.5 years my IVa completed August 2024 and it is now April 2025 and no Completion Certificate.

Creditfix have been a massive help.to me all through my IVA. I had to take a couple of payment breaks at the begining due to a brief drop in employment but was soon sorted. Received my Closure pack a bit later than expected. But on the whole I had no issues with them

Credit Fix FIXED a huge problem I had

Credit Fix Solutions solved a huge problem for me and I can't thank them enough. The support and communication while they worked on my file was exceptional. In the end they had a top 4 bank overturn a default and even paid me compensation! I was not able to get this result myself even after trying a few avenues over a long period of time. I am very pleased with Credit Fix and highly recommend them.

No final paperwork

I finished my IVA in October and I’m still waiting for them to finish the paperwork. The debt is still outstanding on my credit file. I have contacted them several times to be told I’d have the paperwork in 2 weeks, that was at least 6 weeks ago. They are amazing and helpful when setting up the IVA but as soon as you finish your obligations, they do not want to help at all. Very disappointing!

Shocking

Shocking, disgusting to name a couple of the words to describe this company. Don't do it, there's a better way than what this company can offer. Dreadful communication unless they want you money. I'm try to pay it off early and all I'm getting is delay tactic after delay tactic. It takes over a week to respond to an email. You speak with someone and they the goalposts change to suit them. 3years of a nightmare that nearly made me want to take my own life. Do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs.

Extortion - BEWARE

From a total debt of £17,000 my debt to pay back is £6600. Ive paid half of this when my father sadly passed away leaving me a little money. To clear the IVA they don’t want the outstanding £3000, or the remainder to make it up to £17,000. They want an additional £29,000, on top of the £3500 already paid. I’ve told them they will make me homeless and the advisor has completely ignored my request to make a complaint which I sent over a week ago. The greed and disregard from my grief and circumstances disgusts me. I feel like I need to take this to the Financial Ombudsman and BBC Watchdog. I’m still grieving and taking all my dad’s money is heartbreaking. I hope he haunts them.

Awful company

Awful company. I was supposed to be paying them for 5 years. They have added another 2 years on top as they said I refused to pay which I didn't. They did a yearly review and doubled my payment which I said I could not afford to pay. So they are robbing people. Don't bother with them I wish I had just gone bankrupt now it would have been quicker.

Poor customer service

Unfortunately I had come to the last straw in life and had to file for a IVA, everything seemed legitimate when signing up I had informed them I was recieving a grant before setting up and they said I would be able to access it as it was going into the bank they was taking over and I couldn't change it as it had been pre set up months earlier, I received this grant on the 27th of December since then it's been an absolute nightmare trying to sort gaining access, very poor customer service when ringing up, and extremely poor customer service via email it's taking them 3/4 days up to 7 days to reply with no answers or solutions I have also received an email requesting for more money on which I don't have until I can access this money absolutely ridiculous, my mental health has been very poor for over a year going through all this and to be treated like this after everything that's happened is diabolical behaviour I wouldn't recommend using credit fix I'm only 3 months into a 6 year contract and this is how I've been made to feel.

I cannot rate this company low enough

I cannot rate this company low enough. They are absolutely useless morons. My mom passed away new year and I had the pleasure of dealing with these people to change the IVA from joint with my Dad to just in my Dads name. I get bombarded with emails from different people asking for the same details and also emails from sister companies that I have not given permission to contact me. Despite receiving my mom's death certificate in January. They continue to address all correspondence to my mom whilst taking payment from my Dad. I put in a formal complaint about how distressing this all was and the pain they were causing, there response was to question my Dads mental state and ask for details of doctors and medications he was on as a result. I was furious. I want them to take responsibility and get the correct name on the account and stop addressing everything to my mom. Grief is hard enough without how to deal with these people. We have never missed a payment but I have nowhere where we stand with this company because I have no details of when payments are due till. No details that any of it is actually in my Dads name and a company that don't communicate with eachother. I get an email saying we need a meeting to discuss payment the day after they say your pay review is complete and confirm what we will be paying. They asked for a meeting, I sent them my availability, they respond saying payment is fine. I have never dealt with a worse company than these people and would not recommend them to anyone. From other reviews it seems like it only gets worse when we are ready to close the account down so wish us luck on that.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company, I called and agreed a IVA but decided to cancel and not go through that route, I messaged them numerous times and they even replied, so they seen that I told them to stop it, they have continued then behind my back and had the meeting, ive now had letters from my banks and credit card companies, it's a disgrace, looking at getting legal advice as this might now stop the loan I was getting instead of the IVA and this might force me down the IVA route now which I chose not to do.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL

Absolutely diabolical

Absolutely diabolical. Make you think they are there to help but God forbid you come into a temporary life changing situation. I broke my back last October and believe me they do not listen to you. The amount of aggravation I had from these is insane. Iv finally managed to get my iva cancelled. But as per they don't listen. I have sent them 3 emails since closure asking for a copy of my original agreement and as expected absolutely nothing. But you can bet your bottom dollar they will be getting in touch soon. Avoid at all costs. They will not deviate from their script and you are littelraly just a number.

READ THIS BEFORE SIGNING!!

READ THIS BEFORE SIGNING!!! Punished for trying to be debt free quicker! Began my IVA with them in 2020. I've gradually increased my payments over the years from £70 to £150 with wage increases. I received a promotion last year and saw the biggest jump in my wage, but I was on a 6 month probation period which was based on performance, so I decided to wait for my next financial review this October just gone. I began making extra manual payments in July this year when my wage was consistent. In total, I've made £1200 in extra payments which has left me with £600 left to pay on my IVA. I wanted to settle the IVA with one last payment this month and was told I would need to pay £5000+ in fees by their Insolvency department to end the IVA early, then I was told it would £3500+ when I questioned it. So I backed out of the early settlement fee and decided to redo my financial review and continue monthly payments. Today my payment increased to £498 which will be paid in 8 days. After that I will have £102 left to pay in January. I was told on the phone, after the financial review, I'd still need to pay a nominee fee and a supervisor fee to settle my IVA. So not £600 left...£3500 left? Why? Nominee fees cover meetings with Creditors, but if I'm continuing monthly payments, why would this need to be paid now? I've paid £7323 of my total debt of £7973, with gradual increases in my wage over the duration of my IVA.
I wasn't contacted by Creditfix when I was making extra payments, I didn't know ending an IVA early would incur ridiculous fees. I was basically left to give them extra money and fall into their trap. Funny how they're calling you immediately if you miss a payment, but not when I'm clearly trying to be a good person and pay off my debt quicker.
I've worked my arse off over the years and always prioritised paying this IVA off and now that I have the means to do that, Creditfix are making it impossible to do so.
I demanded a Final Complaint Notice from them today and I'll be going to the financial ombudsman with it so they can investigate my IVA. I would recommend the same for anyone in a similar position which by the looks of it, there is many of you.
After I made a request in October to end my IVA early they FAILED to take October's payment from me. I called up and asked them why it hadn't come out and they said it was either because I didn't have the money in my account or a system error. They said they'd look into it when I told them I had enough money in my account to pay the remaining balance off, not just the monthly payment. Never got an answer. I find it suspicious how the one time THEY fail to take a payment is a couple of days after I request to end the IVA early. Even when I've made extra payments alongside the monthly payments previously, they've taken it still, but the month I contact them about ending it early...they fail to take the payment!
This company is doing everything in their power to keep me in debt when I'm trying everything I can to end it earlier than scheduled and move on with my life. It is not illegal to pay off an IVA early, but they are making it seem like it is.
I hope the ombudsman can solve this issue because it's literally holding me back from life now. I earn plenty of money now, I'm better with it and all I want to do is start a new chapter in life and I can't because of these corrupt money hungry corporate idiots.
DO NOT USE THEM unless you know what you're doing, know everything about how IVAs work, even then I'd avoid them. Just handle your creditors yourself, it might be stressful, but it's less stress than this.

TERMINATED my iva after 4.5 years

TERMINATED my iva after 4.5 years of smooth sailing.

NEVER trust this iva company. I got punished by 2.5k and another year added on to my iva. FOR THE SECOND TIME! for using redundancy money to start a business quick to keep a roof over me and my family's head. Apparently I should have used the money to sit on my arse till it ran out and potentially be out of work getting in more financial trouble.
Argument after argument on the phone and by email trying to make my working situation be understood. Nobody gives a shit trust me.
Joke.
Now dealing with my creditors by myself.

Go bankrupt or run a mile from this company.

A reliable professional and friendly company

I got straight through to Creditfix and spoke to David. My query was answered effectively and a confirmation email sent.
I found David very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I am now coming to the end of my 5 year payment plan and would say that I have found Creditfix always to be very professional when dealing with any query I have had.

Absolutely terrible service

Absolutely terrible service

I’ve recently tried signing for an IVA with credit fix. They are always quick to answer phone for payments and to sign you up. I decided to terminate my IVA because I just want to pay off my creditors but they won’t answer my calls now. Every time I call I get transferred from person to person. Sent an email no response. They told me I’d get a call back 2 days in a row and no call backs.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH CREDITFIX !!!
