Cross Country rail are shockingly awful

I’ve been a monthly traveller on Cross Country rail from Oxford to Birmingham International (at times fixed by flights) for about a year. It’s frankly awful - four carriages if you’re lucky, sometimes just two, ram packed, no seating, standing only or, if you’re lucky, sitting on a filthy floor. Quite utterly appalling service. I’m not doing it anymore. National Express run coaches (booked guaranteed seats) for vastly cheaper and it takes only an extra 25mins. Cross Country - you’re a shocking failure.
