Ordered online and given the wrong thing!
Normally, I rate Crumblemania New Cross a 5 star as I come here very often and am always happy with the service but today I was extremely disappointed. I ordered online as I usually do. My order was 2 crumbles. 1 was half apple and half cherry and the other was half peach/apricot and half cherry. I went to collect my order and headed straight back to my car. On getting to the car, I realised 1 of the orders was wrong. It was a Gluten Free Apple crumble, which I did not order. I went back to explain but I was told that I must have made a mistake when ordering as the receipt says I ordered a Gluten Free apple crumble. Another thing I found strange is that when I initially ordered and paid online, I didn't receive a confirmation email or text about my order as I usually would. This made me believe there was definitely some glitch or something wrong with the website or ordering online. Anyway when I went back in I told them that the gluten free Apple crumble wasn't what I ordered and it doesn't taste nice so I can't even eat it. I was told that they could make another one for me but I'd have to pay for it. I had already paid for 2 and was given the wrong order so why should I need to pay again? I was told that they did not make the mistake, it must have been me when ordering online. I couldn't be bothered to argue so I just left but I'm really disappointed with how it was handled. I had to throw the gluten free crumble in the bin because it was not to my taste at all and that was just a waste of money. I feel like crumblemania could have offered me an alternative without suggesting I should pay again even though I'm 100% sure I did not order a gluten free Apple crumble but because I was not sent any confirmation email, I couldn't prove it. Disappointed and unhappy with today's service 😐
