I have been a very satisfied customer at the 235 Commerce Lake Dr., St. Augustine, FL facility for several years. Office personnel are always helpful,knowledgeable, and pleasant to talk with. Facility is located in a safe area and kept very clean.

My name is Nicola Matthews I am a current unit renter and found out in January 25,2025 I was robbed by the employees at this location my possession was moved around and disorganized, my bags was rummaged through and some of my possessions have been stolen. I asked the employees what happened and they were rude and dismissive to me and when I said that I am filing a claim and or complaint they responded very arrogantly and told me "ain't nobody thinking about you". I am applaud at the audacity of the workers
They refused to give me a report about my findings and basically told me to kiss their A$$

Do NOT rent with cubesmart
I have had my unit for right around a year and the rates have changed 3 times already since renting. For the rates to change that much in such little time is really inconvenient and unsustainable. That’s coming from a on time paying customer.

Thousands of dollars worth of my things are completely ruined due to a mouse infestation at my facility and no one will help me. No response from the office after several emails and voicemails, insurance company told us they are not liable. Now I am left with thousands of dollars worth of ruined, pooped-on, peed-on stuff that I have to pay to get rid of. Please save yourself and avoid this place at ALL COSTS. Totally unacceptable way to do business.

The reservation and paperwork process so easy and fast! The property manager Erica was very pleasant, helpful and had an amazing customer service attitude! I appreciated her help!

Do not use CubeSmart, I use the one in Wakefield RI, nice people but they went up 50% in 14 months. Stay away

I am a storage auction buyer be warned of cubesmart in margate on 15th st
It is infested with roaches millions of them i was forced to abandon an auction I won did not want to bring to my wharehouse.i complained to the manager lady and she said we have no roaches and put a complaint into storage treasures which got me banned.
Be warned of this place there are people living there in units cooking and have pets with them it is one of the worst I've ever seen in the 200 plus units I've bought ...I would have cleaned it out if she would have offered an exterminator to come and I would have dumped it all she screwed up my buisiness on storage treasures with her lying....

Very easy access clean and manage is great I could only give them a 4 star review because they are always trying to go up on my rent twice a year eventually it won't be worth it.

This location is run so poorly and provides such inadequate, costly, and unprotected storage services that my rating would be negative if I could make it so. Avoid this CubeSMart location AT ALL COSTS.

Why? I had been storing a Ford F-250 V-8 Triton truck at this storage facility for almost three years when, one day, my account was closed without my prompting. Unsure why this had happened, I traveled to the facility on Cedar Springs and met with CubeSmart site representative Jonathan Bartush--who was in the front office that looks out precisely upon the spot where my truck had been stored for years--and asked why my account was closed. He mentioned it was because the truck was no longer there. "Where is it then?" I asked. He replied that he didn't know.

Turns out, it was stolen. I'm still in disbelief this occurred. He mentioned another truck had had a battery stolen from it, after I told him that the last time I had come up there to check on my truck, it wouldn't start, so I had supposed the battery had died -- and that's when he mentioned maybe the thieves had stolen the battery from another truck on the premises and dropped it in my truck. Additionally, a tire had been flat on my truck, so the thieves apparently also fixed the tire? So, apparently, a lot of theft is occurring: A battery from another truck, plus the entirety of my vehicle, at the least.

I called the police immediately. I filed a police report. I was still in shock that I had been paying over $200 per month to store a truck that is directly in view of the office and desk that Mr. Bartush sits at, and apparently, thieves had gone in, put a new battery in my truck, and driven off the premises with it, all right there int he view of the office. And I only found this out weeks later, after Cube Smart closed my account unilaterally, on their own initiative. The whole situation is outrageous. I've never had a situation this financially disastrous happen to me due to another company's negligence.

I should not only be compensated for the value of the 2001 Ford F-250 truck but also refunded the thousands of dollars I spent storing the truck at this good-for-nothing (literally) facility. CubeSmart had ONE JOB -- and they failed at it. Badly. Disastrously. Horrendously. And they didn't even know they had failed at the job they were being paid hundreds of dollars per month to do until I pointed it out to them.

To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I'm contacting as many agencies as possible -- the Better Business Bureau, etc. -- to see what can be done about this kind of raging incompetence that has cost me tens of thousands of dollars.

Cube Smart self storage has Literally made this the easiest, cheapest storage facility I've ever Had. The staff is hands down the best ever. If You don't lock your storage right they call you and let you know, they are the sweetest most pleasant Ladies I've ever met and they do their jobs with a smile on their face!! I pray that they work their forever because I will know my stuff is safe and Stuff is safe. God bless you ladies!! I recommend this storage to EVETYONE.. This is the caboose location.

I had cubesmart for 5 years and in that time my rent went up at least 4 times! I found a dead rodent in my unit. when I informed the office, I was told that some one on my floor kept food in thier unit & cubesmart was trying to get rid of the vermin. they gave me a dust pan & a broom to clean up the dead rodent. the mice had gotten into my unit & left a disgusting mess, the office told me to see if my rental insurance would cover it. the building was nasty & disgusting, no restroom available, trash on the floors. I called the corp office & told them I was moving my stuff out & why days before my bill was due. the corp office never told the people at the one I was renting from & now I am getting calls & messages from the local office telling me I owe all this money. I do not recommend this company. This company is the worst & care less about the customer! I highly suggest shopping around for a unit that will care about their customers & are not slum lords who just want your money.

I've been using CubeSmart in Old Saybrook, CT to store my things after I moved from NYC. Yesterday, I went to my storage unit and disgust doesn't even begin to describe the condition of it. There were HUGE SPIDERS everywhere! My unit was infested!! It was also covered in webs, there were COCKROACHES, I saw a packet of what looked like RAT POISONING (in my unit), and I kept hearing something that sounded like a snake or rat running around (luckily I didn't see one). When I called, the women I spoke with told me to file a claim with my homeowners insurance. Today, this dump called and REFUSED to have pest control come and they also refuse to reimburse me for the months I trusted these slumlords with my possessions. LOL NO sweetie, CubeSmart will pay for any damages and reimburse any fees or they will see me in court. I'm about to report this joke of business with the city and state so no one else has to endure the hell I'm going through.

We started out with Cube Smart and things were fine at first. However, over time, they continued to raise the prices on our storage unit to the point where it became completely unaffordable for us. It's frustrating because they know customers need their services, but the constant price increases feel unreasonable, especially for such a small space.

On top of that, the facility really needs a dumpster. It's inconvenient to not have proper disposal services available when you're moving items in and out of storage. For the price they’re charging, I expected better amenities and customer support. If you’re considering Cube Smart at this location, be prepared for rising costs and a lack of basic services.

This is no reflection on management and staff; for they were always kind and respectful.

Thieves. Raise rates more than once a year, charge a 20% late fee on day six. Almost $500 just to store items. They take advantage of this need.

I have been renting storage space for about 3 years at the CUBESMART 101 Old Windsor Rd , Bloomfield, Ct. Tammy the mgr of this facilities has been extremely helpful in answering questions I have had. She is very professional, polite and organized. This facility is well maintained.

Let me tell you what CubeSmart did to me and how it could happen to you. As it is within the boundaries' of my first amendment rights. Here is the letter I sent to their CFO Timothy Martin. Mr. Martin, It is with great disappointment with CubeSmart that I must contact you. I was a client of your Deerfield Beach, Florida facility until June 10, 2024 when my storage lot was auctioned. I was then contacted by text on June 12, 2024 for payment. I was made aware of this action on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 when I called to make as payment of $318. I was a client for 22 months and spent approx. $5500 Your managers not only sold off all the contents to which I have a list of. They sold off priceless religious book that were my great-grandfathers that came from Russia. Over 100 of them all between 100-120 years old. Never to be published again. I suspect you have a law degree and are familiar with the Talmud, Mishna and Gomorrah. If you are not, tap the shoulder of any lawyer or judge for an explanation. As per the requirements in Florida Lien Law 83.801-83.809 for such actions. You're company disregarded every requirement set forth by the law. A claim has been filed in Small Claims court in Deerfield Beach, Florida on Friday, July 12, 2024 for the amount of $7679. Not including the books to which, your regional manager contacted the purchaser of my lot and told her they were dropped at Goodwill in Boca Raton, FL. If your office in Plantation has not been served to this date, they will be soon. I have been indigent and homeless for two years and have only recently taken a position as Director of Estimating at a large general contractor. While I'm sure a judge will be ecstatically happy to hear what CubeSmart did to me and my religious books. Those books were the only reason I kept a storage space. The fact remains that CubeSmart broke the law. Instead of wasting our time in arbitration and court, I would like to work this out amicably with CubeSmart. Having had a few businesses, I understand the damage court filings and legal dissertations can do. Especially to ones Dun & Bradstreet rating, the internet media and the self-righteous modern day consumer reporters on television. Please also include a refund of 22 months of payments that I had to have kind friends give me. After your manager told me, If I wanted any records I would have to subpoena them. The level of your firms arrogants, I have never experienced.

If i was able to give them zero stars i would. I rented a climate control unit for my art work and model boats. The AC unit has not been working since 8-9-24 and i now have mold on everything no call - no warning. The AC is still not working. I called the district manager - Daniel Suarez several times no return call and unable to get a hold of anybody. The people at the office sit there like deer in headlights and unable to help. Worst company i have ever dealt with.

My wife and I have a storage unit rented out with cubesmart. We have a serious issue we need to discuss and we want this to be open to everybody because we are deeply hurt by cubesmart.
The price of our unit has been constantly increasing every six months and now the price is unbearable.
We spoke to the manager at the sunnyside (11104), New York cubesmart, as she wasn't too helpful in giving us her name. She actually tried to mumble her name and I am still not sure what it is after 2 or 3 times speaking with her.
The last increase was a whopping $60 in one shot. That is brutal! We have been loyal customers of cubesmart for four years now. We spoke to the manager on the phone and she said she would help us out and reduce this one time.
The price increased to $321.30 and she explained she would do her best to reduce it as we have been there for 4 years now.
Two times we called her and both times she promised she would help us. The first time we called her because the price stayed the same and she said she would do it correctly for the next month. She didn't do it correctly for the next month so we called her again. She said she would email us and tell us it was done. She never emailed us and we got the same bill again without any modifications she said she would do.
Now we are annoyed and we feel like we are being laughed at and not taken seriously.
I definitely want to contact my council member as I feel tremendously hurt and ridiculed by your manager, who was not being honest with us. We were so nice and polite with her and she treats us like stupid people. I also might to go to the newspaper about this and tell everyone my very negative experience with cubesmart and also inform people of the amount of times cubesmart increased the prices of our storage unit as they should beware of that. In my book they are not good nor honest people. Terrible, terrible people and company. I am terribly offended and hurt by this company.
